BIL i s on his way. I dropped him off at the Metro station just before 10, then swung by Walmart on the way home for a few things, forgetting the main item I’d intended to get. grrrrrr
As expected, my car was nearly empty yesterday and when I stopped to fill it this morning, there was no offer from the individual who emptied it. I’m pretty sure it never occurred to him. I think I need to do a poll about this.
Daughter is on her way home now - she wasn’t feeling well this morning but they could only get a sub for the afternoon. Real smart - her morning students were exposed to her sick.
Lasagna for supper, I think - I’ll yank a hunk outta the freezer. Other than that, I got nothing. I want a nap…
I got sympathy for also being a fahrman. ![]()
I’ll be busted back to EMT-Basic, until I take the National Registry Intermediate test. They will find out for me if I can review and take, vs. sitting through all the classes once again.
My sympathy to you and all. One of the hockey crowd? If so feel free to pass my prayers on to them. Heck - feel free to do it anyway.
Macaroons and brownies, heck yeah!
Man, I love it when my little one sneezefarts. Cracks me right up.
Dolores, they’re tellin’ us to leave if the freezing rain gets close. Hope you can skedaddle too.
Ow. I have thrush and/or mastitis. Ow. Nursing feels approximately like having dull pins shoved into me.
I am not enjoying it.
I have Ghiradellis brownie mix. I just got it. I think if I made the brownies according to instruction and added the coconut layer it would be yum.
Thank, taxi!
Ow, LiLi! The Ghiradellis brownies are to die for. That should make you feel better.
**Lieu **- they let us go early last Thursday, and gave us Friday off. We just received an email with the winter storm advisory message, and saying we should “check the emergency number” - and those who have “situations” should leave if they need to.
I have an overseas deadline or I wouldn’t even be here. I’ll probably call in sick tomorrow.
Hey - y’all know that weird coworker guy I’ve talked about? I was in the cube next to mine, in a meeting, and he asked me if I wanted a cough drop. The cough drops that are on my desk.
He wasn’t even in the meeting! Weirdo. Yes, I know it was nice, but WTF? (He walks around eavesdopping on everyone’s conversations. And peeking over the cube walls.)
**Rebo **- I was seated in an open office configuration once and I would see another person in there *literally *lean over to listen in on phone conversations. Real subtle. I don’t mind when someone yells over the cube wall about inane conversations or even work-related topics when they know something, but doggone, can you at least pretend you don’t overhear a personal conversation? I try to keep then at a low volume, but in a crowded space, it’s tough not to overhear sometimes…
Daughter and I just watched Annie - fun movie! And I cleaned the kitchen. Lasagna is thawing for supper. I haven’t gotten out the fabric and pattern. I can’t get motivated.
At least it’s one day closer to Firday. Yay
Home from irk. 'Tis chilly out so soup is a good thing tonight. I got a nice crusty loaf of French bread I’ll toast up to go with the soup. YUM!
BBBobbio yay on the new volunteer gig but boo on the no phone/intertoobz. Hope that’s resolved soon.

Owie LiLi! Hope it 's all better soon.
Off to ummm… do sump’n or other.
Prepare for cuteness. This is my co-workers 3 day old baby goat. The momma doesn’t want anything to do with it, one of his guard dogs took care of the baby during the night and now co-worker has to hand raise it. It made the cutest little goat bleats and then it leaped around a bit. It was so adorable.
That sucks, LiLi! Hope it gets cleared up soon. Brownies definitely will help!
We’re eating leftovers tonight and tomorrow. I have no creative ideas for leftover pork tenderloin. We can eat it as is - it had a nice garlicky marinade on it so it has good flavor. And I don’t really think it’d turn into stir fry or bbq very well since it has sort of an Italian type flavor going on. Any thoughts other than just slicing it and eating it cold (as I’ve been doing for the last couple days’ lunches)?
That goatlet is just too adorable!!
The menagerie has been fed. Old computer is packed for delivery to BIL, lasagna is in defrost mode in the microwave. My sweetie is home and life is good. It’d be better if today was Firday. Oh well.
Something fajita-like?

TA-DA!
I do have to say (now that some of my grammar and vocabulary have returned) that when I read the title my first thought was 'Brats" rhymed with “cats” and you were speaking of the kids/grandkids; “cheese on me” brought to mind a culinary accident. So glad that neither was the case.
Someone call me a cabrito. That thang does for cuteness what Snickers does for a diabetic.
Waaay cool office, Wile.
