It’s Saturday, and I am doing nothing today. Except later, making the meat and chile for tamales. Which will be done tomorrow.

Hola! I have been on a crazy-go-nuts travel week that involved being snowed in in Tulsa and then turning up at the airport to find our corporate travel group had cancelled and refunded my ticket and not made the flight flight change as requested. Oh well. I am home! Yay!

doggio Happy Belated
I had a very long week this week averaging about 4 - 4.5 hours of sleep a night so I came home and crashed last night. Worthless wife that I am. mr ems never sees me at the moment and when I am home I sleep so I have plans to make it up to him. 
Other than that nuttin really going on. I need to go get a new wine fridge as ours bit the dust this week. And my kitchen should be back in one piece tomorrow after the never ending cabinet re-finish project comes to an end.
I had my MRI yesterday. The doctor left a message at home before we arrived saying ALL IS WELL! No brain tumor. I’m just odd.

I’m here, so you can all stop worrying. We’ve been running around all morning but now we’re done. We got a corner cabinet for the TV and finally got rid of the old piece of crap that we’d been using for years. It’s yet another wood color in our living room, but I like the eclectic look anyway.

taxi **- you asked me earlier about Project Linus and I kept meaning to answer. I don’t know if you’ve ever checked out their website, but they have few requirements. The only one I remember is to avoid patterns with lots of openwork. Then again, how warm is that? And they do have links to some patterns from their site, too.
I don’t give mine directly to the Project - my mom’s AARP group has a lady who collects all the knitted items and distributes them as appropriate to nursing homes, vet’s homes, and Proj Linus. Honestly, everything I’ve seen of yours would be great!

I made valentines this morning and mailed them. Also, got a call from the neighborhood CVS telling me that someone had found and turned in my building ID (and other attached cards). Wooot! Now I don’t need to worry about how I replace my other cards (they’re a bunch of phone number-filled things that I didn’t have a list of, of course). And, in an odd turn of events, my brother found someone else’s work ID, driver’s license and some other card. The DL has an out-of-town address, but the guy works downtown, so I’m going to drop the stuff off Monday morning.
Off to take a walk since it’s actually nice out.

I’ve been to the dog park today, and the babies really enjoyed the nice weather. They’ve been exhibiting signs of cabin fever with all this rain and cold.
Today is Mr Rebo and my 7th anniversary! We’re going out to dinner at the fancy seafood place.

Belated Happy Reboversary!
I had a great time last night, we went out for a curry at our favourite curry house in town and then walked home with a brief stop for a drink at a lovely little pub that has the added curiosity value of having a tree growing inside the gents’ toilets. We were home by about 11pm and had a couple more drinks while watching a film.
Today I am off to Ikea to meet a friend so I suspect there will be meatballs involved in my day. Woot!
It’s my turn to cook tonight as well so I am thinking about making spaghetti bolognese just because I can, and it’s simple. That suits me perfectly for a Sunday night. 'im indoors will be faffing about on his computer all day and I will be avoiding the vacuuming. He’s off back to Surrey in the morning which involves getting up at stupid o’clock and getting a very early train. I am planning to sleep through that bit!

Up early, but not because of Scruffy, amazingly enough. I woke up at 0630 without help from anyone at all! In the last half hour, besides brushing my teeth, I’ve let the dog out twice, cleaned and refilled 2 cat boxes, fed all cats and the dog, and tidied the kitchen a bit. and here I am!

Last night, we watched lots of stuff off Netflix and I saw my first Eddie Izzard standup show - OMG I about choked myself laughing! I’d been told he was funny, but I loved the absurdity! We also watched Last Chance Harvey with Dustin Hoffman - not a bad flick but pretty predictable. And we watched one of the Jim Henson Storybook Theater episodes. I don’t know what **FCD **was watching when I headed off to bed.
I also finished the pink child’s afghan and started a blue one. But I still have to do laundry and cut out the vests. Today for certain… probably…

MMMMMMMM… pancakes and sausages! As predicted it caused OYKW to arise. He told me it was evil of me to do that but evil in a good way.
It turns out there was a surprise birthday party for me last night for me and a friend who is also a Feb 10th birthday boy. He got a bottle of wine, and some wine stoppers, and I got a martin set and a 6pack of Yuengling. Mu friends know me well.
