Hi!
This was a large metal lockbox with the lock built into the lid. Hitting it with the hammer was VERY satisfying and the lock fell right into the box, never to be locked again. 
I’m pretty sure I found more padlock keys than I have padlocks, and a lot of the keys don’t look they’ll fit anything I’ve ever seen here. One key is marked “Silca” and “Made in Italy” and looks like a car ignition key. I’d better check the garage for the Italian sports car!
I attended the Virtual Dopefest this afternoon. Our very own **Nut **was also there. It was nice to see her and other Dopers, although I think most of them don’t post in the MMP very often, if at all.
The hospital pharmacy was closed - I’m guessing it has something to do with it being a Jewish hospital and the Sabbath. Pretty sucky, tho.
He’s in a lot of pain and I can’t do a`thing till CVS opens at 10. 
Memo to McCormick: no, you do NOT get 8 enchiladas from 1lb ground beef. I got 6 at your rather scanty 1/4c meat per enchilada.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 66 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 91 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. Supposed to be rainy tomorrow. We shall see. Today we shall virtually deheathenate. N.O.L. (This bein’ Sunday) shall be roast chikin, dressin’ with giblet gravy (dressin’ from da freezer, so thaw and bake!), cranberry sauce, green beans, squishes and sweet N.O.T. pie. YUM!
Nettie all those seasonin’ packet thingys lie. I am assumin’ this was a McCormick’s seasonin’ packet thingy. I could be wrong, I reckon.

Nice to see you too! It’s nice to put names to faces, even if I wasn’t all that successful at doing that, as I had a pretty bad time lag between sound and image. I did work out which pic was you after a bit though! It was a much more civilised affair than the concurrent ‘juggling convention’, when I switched back to that, most of 'em were somewhat drnuk and one was in the bath.
My beekeeping group also has an online meet today, I’ve never had such a social whirl when I had to meet up in person! I really should go check on the bees today as well, I’ll try and get that done first. I think I should split the hive, which I’ve never done before.
It was 45 years ago today and the smartest thing I ever did…

Terrible night - **FCD **finally fell asleep around 6:30 this morning from sheer exhaustion. I don’t think I got a total of an hour of sleep. But I did find out that the CVS in Target opens at 9, so I’ll be heading there shortly to be first in line. Just hope they have it - or, since they’re CVS, that they can tell me which store has it. Fingers crossed…
I doubt that I’ll do anything today - I hope I can grab a nap at some point. This morning, **FCD **said he should have stayed one more night in the hospital - I think he’s right. Oh well…

FCM, hope the medication helps FCD. It’s no fun to be in pain all night.
73F already this morning and heading for 80F, but a good chance of rain this evening and tomorrow. Have made out the next week’s ‘to-do’ list, not many ‘to-do’ on it, but they’ll increase as the week goes on. Need to go out today to retrieve dinner, but that’s about all that is planned.

Not much outside of the usual Sunday chores on the slate for today. I may sit out on the patio and read for a bit.

Last night the 1.8 ounce jar of cayenne pepper was empty, so I refilled it from the 11 ounce container of cayenne. I used a funnel. I put a little too much pepper in the funnel, and needed to put it back into the larger container. I did manage to spill just a little bit, pouring the pepper into the container from the wide end.
My coffee cup was on the counter, and some of the spilled cayenne fell into it. The first cuppa was a little hot this morning. (But I drank it anyway.)
Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Lots of 504s this morning. The hamsters should stop doing meth until 0400 every Saturday night.

No idea - this is the first time we’ve been to this hospital. With luck, also the last. Not that it was a bad place, we just think 9 spinal surgeries is enough.
He’s now medicated and feeling less awful. I’m exhausted.
Well, bees split into two hives- I actually managed to find the queen (huzzah!). Now I have to do a few more trips up there this week to make sure they’re all OK.
I think I might be rehoming the new colony, because if I’m going to have to move shortly, fewer beehives is probably easier to manage, and someone down the road lost their bees over winter and really wants a new colony.
You would be correct. Specifically, the offending recipe was on the enchilada sauce packet. The sauce was decent enough (I thought it was a little bland, and I’m a spice wimp), but the recipe for use of said sauce had apparently not undergone any real-world testing.

Today I made breakfast, hand-washed some dishes/pans, cleaned the stove, and loaded and started the dishwasher.

I have been awake for 2 nights straight. I’m catching catnaps between trying to carry on and not get homicidal.
I’m almost desperate.
When the house was empty and I got like this I would just get up and do things to loud music. I can’t do that when everyone is sleeping. So I lay in bed and get muscle sore. It’s maddening.
FCM, so happy you got the pain meds. TellFCD, we’re pulling for him to heal quickly!

Better living thru chemistry - **FCD **is feeling lots better. I’ve set a timer on my phone to remind me when to dose him again. He said the pre-surgery pains are all gone. I’m hoping we both sleep tonight. I’m fighting to stay awake right now so I can sleep tonight.
The only problem - since they’re opioids, the pharmacy was only allowed to dispense 7 days worth, which means he got 28 tablets instead of 42. He’ll have to contact his doctor for a refill later this week. Still, not a huge deal, because he’s got to call the Dr’s office anyway to make an appointment to have the gazillion staples removed in about 2 weeks.
Dreary day - earlier, the forecast was for rain. Well, it never happened, tho much is promised this week. I didn’t mow as I’d planned - it’s gonna be a jungle when I can finally get ol’ John Deere out again. I’ll deal with it then.
