Well, for the most part I think BigT is on point today. Which is more than I can say for some other people here. Say what you will, he’s not defending fucking Nazis.
As long as they weren’t Abusive Dad, Archnemesis Dad, Dirty Coward, or Domestic Abuser, we cool. One could make a case that the rest do, in some sense, apply to me.

Heh. I may disagree with him politically, but I’ve seen octopus be thoughtful and considerate sometimes. Not as often as you or BigT, though… but then, I usually like Bricker too … hmmm…
Anyway, I find BigT to be a good and decent person who is highly worth reading, although I readily admit I probably haven’t seen anywhere near 100% of the stuff he posts.

I think he reveals the typical (not universal) truth nowadays about the ‘side’ he’s usually on, and if I were on that side and could see that, though not all on that side can, I wouldn’t view him as an effective ally.
Also the principal definition of ‘moralizing’ is usually along the lines of
“to reflect on or express opinions about something in terms of right and wrong, especially in a self-righteous or tiresome way.”
Those, Big T or other, stepping forward to embrace the idea they are moralizing about political issues might not be aware of that, or else emphasizing secondary definitions which omit the self righteous/tiresome aspect, and omit ‘pontificate’, ‘sermonize’ etc as synonyms. 
To be clearer, what’s annoying is trying to take a false moral high ground as a cheap way to win political, social etc policy debates you can’t win the hard way. BigT is mainly just somewhat less self aware in laying that on too thick than some of the posters who’ve stepped forward to defend him, and it’s typical of a huge chunk of current public debate IMO, by no means limited to this board let alone one person.
