The French Toast MMP

Still raining.

Juilet, I accepted your friend request. Between your location and your cover photo, I figured you’re OK.

Doggio– types of people who live in Green Bay:

  1. Packer players
  2. People who say “ope” when they bump into you.
  3. ?

Yeah, we’re decent people. Usually. When the Packers win.

Howdy Y’all! I have accomplished mowage, gone to the burly butcher sto’ to get steaks for tomorrow (JDD and Partner are comin’ over to hang at the cee-mint pond so I got some nice tbones) and for men’s night over to the church house on Moanday, and have had a dip in the cee-mint pond. 'Tis waaaaaaaaaaaay hawt out and I just didn’t want to be out very long. Now I shall chill until time to make tacos. OLÈ!

This is me. Exactly. Which explains why I have about 20 coats and jackets and a closet full of shoes and I look at the shirts every time I pass the clothing section.
I’ve tried to explain this to Wifey. She just thinks I’m crazy.

 Never assume something is over and done! Some vice president is just waiting around for the chance to ask “remember that project we shelved 12 years ago? Well…”
Been there. Done that.

Somebody matching your description showed up in my ‘People you may know’ pile this morning. I clicked ‘add friend’. Feel free to ignore me.

I really should figure out who the rest of you are someday so I can inflict myself on you too.

If I was doing engineering work, it would be a different story. But the stuff I shredded consisted of old redlined drawings that I’d already corrected on projects that have gone into configuration management. Had there been issues, they’d have surfaced already. But my working documents aren’t usually of much value, even to me.

I did hold on to 2 that had been stamped “Controlled Copy” - I’m pretty sure they’re trash, but I’ll ask the cognizant engineer next time I see him. If he doesn’t want them, neither do I.

Two drawings down, three to go. I don’t know if I can stretch them out to 90 minutes. And come Monday, unless someone leaves something over the weekend, I’ll be out of work again. I hear they need a project lead, but I don’t want to be an engineer and our two n00bs are too new for such a burden. Dunno if the boss will hit me up or not.

Today started with a baby backhoe cutting a trench in the back yard. It seems they cut a few too many corners building this over 55 community, and some of the cement pads under the houses became cement ponds.

It seems one of the things they forgot to do is put back the top soil, once you get below the crab grass its all junk clay/stone. No wonder not much grows around here.

At least the local gas company isn’t trying to launch the neighborhood into orbit like north of Boston.

heh im never on facebook…….that and I wouldn’t want to inflict the steaming pile of family I have ………

Alien[, is the trench to divert/move water or for WW I re-enactors?

FCM, it’s the Government; there is always papers to shred…

Butters and Midget, glad you are both feeling better today.

Juliet, Hello friend. And if any of the rest of you want, PM me and I’ll (probably) friend you…<grin>

No work done yet (plumbers will be in this evening), but the ‘cleanup’ guy will be in Sattiday to pick up/throw out/spiffify the place. Goal now is for work to be done by the 20th, so I can hopefully get my stuff out of storage and go back to living normal again.

Decided to treat myself to Red Robin (yum!) and now feel stuffed and in need of nappage.

A couple of years back, I was working in the garden right next to the front porch, digging out for some azaleas. I couldn’t believe all the construction debris I dug out - and our house was built in 1975!!! Obviously the couple we bought from weren’t into gardening.

Bumba and Ruble I’m the same as you, except that I had one outfit for each day of the week, and that was it. 2 pairs of shoes - one for school, and one for church. It fit in a small suitcase. I didn’t get many hand me downs, since I was the oldest child and oldest grandchild. I am still fighting hard against my childhood teachings to keep everything, because sooner or later it’s useful. When I was a child, sooner or later it was.

Today is shaping up to be an interesting day, world wise. Personal-stuff wise, we’re going to go see Pepper pup at her new home and say good-bye. After that we’re just waiting for the RV to get finished, then we can hit the road.

We’ve been sleeping on the floor. I can’t believe I did this for years as a young person, when I slept on futon. Climbing up and down has been an adventure. I’ve made it a goal to be able to get up and down easily by the time this adventure is over. It’s getting easier.

I thought that was a different disaster. :o

Is her cover photo is of her boozing it up or a pile of empties?

Need an engineer? May I suggest Charlie.

Out of work. I’m going home. Baby Engineer did give m something for Moanday morning, so there’s that.

Thus endeth my work week!

Doggio, why are all the planes avoiding your neighborhood?

Starting raining here around 2:30 and it is really coming down hard. I don’t know how long it is supposed to last.

I got some cough drops but not the kind I wanted. They are cherry flavored but have menthol in them. I wanted the plain old cherry kind. Should have paid attention.

Home!!

I just booked us a tour in Curacao which includes the Seaquarium. So we’ve got stuff to do in Aruba and Curacao. Not sure what we’ll do in Costa Rica - must research.

**FCD **and I are going out to supper. It’s raining a little, but barely enough to warrant using the wipers. Not sure what the rest of the weekend holds.

Tacos have been consumed. OLÈ! Chillage now ensues.

Still raining. My neighbor has had her wiener dog out a couple of times:
Doxie: <stares>
Gordie: < stares back>
Doxie: bork
Gordie: [Thundar The Barbarian]AYAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH![/Thundar The Barbarian]

It is an Old Fashioned picture. ;)

Shooting my Shark-ta-pult at Florence

I caused a minor disturbance when my parents sent me to kindergarten with Luden’s cherry cough drops. I was called out to recover the ones I had distributed to my associates; one guy returned one from his mouth, and the Teacher told him he could keep it.

Luden’s is the kind I wanted but I bought generic.

Luden’s or Smith Bros, I can’t remember which, we used to eat them like candy when I was a kid.
My back yard is such a mess because of all the previous things done in it. There used to be a pond, which was filled with rocks. The ground has settled and there is a rocky hole where you can’t use the lawn mower.
There used to be a brick patio, which is over grown with wild violets. If you scrape down through a thin layer of dirt you can see the bricks.
Why somebody needed a porch, and a deck, and a patio is beyond me.
I never know what is going to come up. Except this year no cleomes. :frowning:
However, I think the stuff on the side of the house is milkweed, which I want anyway for the butterflies.
The only thing that came up in the wild flower patch this year was cone flowers and the clump of tall stuff that never got any flowers on it. I know it isn’t pampas grass, the stalks and leaves are wrong.

We went to the Leonardtown Grille for supper - it was YUM!!! I’s stuffded with tuna steak. Time to assume the recliner position for the evening…
