Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN Actually been up for a while and just got the ribs 'n chikin on the smoker. Gonna be so yum tomorrow! Anywho, 'tis 73 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 94 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. Besides smokeage, laundry is also on the agenda. Rah. I shall also make sweet and unsweet plus strawberry-lemonade for tomorrow’s doin’s. TWPTB say a fifty percent chance of rain tomorrow. May they be as wrong as they usually are.
Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then, onward into the day. Rah.
We found a car for me yesterday! We set up a purchase agreement and I’ll pick it up on Thursday. My bank needs to cut a check for the loan portion and I need to get a cashier’s check for my portion, so we’re doing that today. Then they’re not available for pick up tomorrow (being the Fourth and all), so I have to wait until Thursday after work to go get my car… I want to have it noooowwww!
Anyway, I bought a 2014 Chevy Equinox. Big enough for my kiddos to grow their long legs, but not so big that I’m driving a minivan. It’s only got about 55k miles on it, and it’s in really great condition. It has all kinds of fun bells and whistles… it’s a real upgrade from the POS I’ve been driving.
Up and basically adulting. Da Jungle did not call for volunteers to do an extra shift today so I have no idea what I’ll be walking into; an extra 10% could mean brutality. The OW gets out early so I’ll be able to pick her up and we’ll get a little time together; not a bad deal at all for a weekday for us.
"If Alexander Gerst has certain questions to the experiment he’s working on, CIMON has quite keep knowledge on that experiment, so he can really get inside the experiment, and he can ask questions that are beyond the procedure,” said Philipp Schulien, an engineer on CIMON from Airbus.
Let’s start a pool about when CIMON will say, “I’m sorry, Alex, I can’t allow you to do that.”
My dog is a goof.
The neighbor’s hung a towel over the railing of their balcony and you’d think it is a big scary monster. He can’t stop staring at it.
FCM I read it that way at first too. Then I realized he was talking tea.
sari, pups can be weird. I got out the tower fan yesterday when I was doing some cooking that the AC just wasn’t keeping up with and Nelson stood there barking at it. Once I “introduced” him to it (much like I do with people, pick him up, let him touch them), he was good.
I went to the doctor this morning for the quarterly. Everything’s good, at least until the labs come back. This afternoon is a trip to the recycling center, then an outing with Nelson.
no ones doing much since its in the middle of the week ….
im hoping to talk someone into some fireworks as the public ones leave much to be desired in these parts but my disabled niece hates any loud noise …and thee illegal here …….which im thinking about changing via public vote
its supposed to be 112-115 by Friday…………ill be getting health warnings by phone from la county ……
Howdy Y’all! I have been a bzzy bear! Smokeage is done and the ribs are wrapped in foil. They will go into the oven on low heat for a couple hours before they get et up. They will be fall off the bone tender. YUM! The chikin is also wrapped up and will get put in a slow cooker on low tomorrow. Well, except for the two boobs that will be supped tonight along with scalloped N.O.T. and carrots 'n peas. I have also cleanded up the smoker and did three loads of laundry. I have adulted all over the place today! Go Me!
**nona **- the pupcakes almost sound good enough for peoples!!
I stopped for a rotissed chickie and some Amish corn on the way home. We’ll also have broccoli and Amish 'maters for supper. It’s almost time to eat, so yay!
Poor **FCD **has to work tomorrow, dammit, so he won’t be going to my mom’s with us. Dammit. At least he’s paid well for doing what he does, but still…
Supper was yum, and all that was left over were a few scraps of chicken. We’s all stuffded.
The eggs have been boiled and peeled - I’ll devil them in the morning. We’re hoping to leave around 9 tomorrow morning.
For now, I’m pooped. As soon as my daughter rinses and stacks the dishes, I’ll load the dishwasher. Not much chance of doing anything else productive tonight.
