I am so glad this workweek is done. I had a hard week and need some extra sleep.
Hello mumpers. …it’s round bout 11ish here amd I’m feeling a bit. …well. I’m waiting on the results of a biopsy, tomorrow i head out to the funeral of an in law, and recently i unsuccessfully tapered off Zoloft. i say unsuccessfully because i tried to avoid the unpleasant withdrawal but rather missed the mark. my brain is zapping and buzzing with unseemly enthusiasm.

I worked. Crazy Spitting Screaming Guy(I remember him from dollar Tree) came in, and was thrown out by LP. Now I’m having a Guinness. Dinner was suated chicken with spagehtti, olives, and fresh Parm with lemon basil broccoli.

I woke at 5:30 and my stoopit brain wouldn’t let me fall back to sleep. So I got up and tended to Higgs, then tossed a load in the washer and went back to bed to watch the news and (yeah right) maybe doze off. In reality, I watched the news till I heard the washer finish its cycle, then I got up, brushed my teeth, and took Higgs out while I hung the afghans and towels. There’s a load of shirts in the washer now, and once it’s on the line, I’ll attack the ditch. ugh.
**FCD **tried sleeping in our bed last night, but about 3:30, he got up and moved back to the guest room. I don’t know if it’s the mattress comfort or the difference between having a queen bed to himself as opposed to half a king - sprawling might be more comfortable. He’s still abed.
Much hot and humidity is promised for today. If I can finish the push mowing and whacking by 10, I should be good. Riding the mower is not nearly as sweat-inducing. Meanwhile, I’m having breakfast.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tiis 72 Amurrkin out, cloudy and hyoooooooomid with a predicted high of 90 and mostly cloudy with a chance of rain this evenin’. We shall see. In a bit I shall get myself ready to head over to the church house for mowage of the back forty. Hopefully it won’t take more than a couple of hours as we look to be at full team today.
OK, that’s all I got. I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants food. I shall also brush my teeth and shave. One must be somewhat presentable after all.

The three of us went to see Angry Birds and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies at the drive-in. My phone charger is borked and the only one I have is the one in my car, so my phone is dead until I can get a new charger. On the other hand, I have two bags of old clothes ready to go to the thrift store and a soapmaking class later today, along with more sorting and packing and stuff. We have enough boxes and tape and markers to start packing, and it’s not like we have a lot of nice things; one teenager and three cats see to that.
Food and caffeination will commence shortly, as soon as I get it together enough to go.
Rosie’s sig definitely applies here.
Push mowing is done, and **FCD **rode ol’ Johnny D around the front yard. So all I need to do after I cool down is whack. We also need to get the dryer hooked up so I can launder our unders. But for the moment, I’m drinking ice water and resting a bit.
I’m too old for this crap…
Yard work is done and I’m showered and relaxed. Time for lunch. And maybe a nap??

I’ve been out for a ride with friends. We stopped at a small town cafe for country ham, aigs and bizkuts and now I’m back home to do the housework during the heat of the day.
Howdy Y’all! Mowage of the back forty over to the church house has been accomplished. I am at da cave, all showered and cleanded, and enjoyin’ an ice cold beerverage. I need to eat a little sump’n and then I foresee nappage. Possibel cee-mint pond later on.

It’s supposed to be hot, humid, and raining. So far it’s not so hot and sunny.
We still have open windows open with a fan, although Sah-son is starting to complain about it getting warm in here - up to 79.
When I woke this morning my first thought was that in 10 days the days will start getting shorter. Then I went back to sleep and slept until almost noon.
My big excitement of the day was that during a middle of the night bladder call and mouse ran between my feet.

I need to call my home owners insurance company, the mortgage company is putting about double into escrow each month as they should be. I’ll call the insurance company first to verify the premium, then call the mortgage company.
That will have to wait until Moonday of course, although maybe I can look it up online.
I have to do some laundry soon, and the dishes are washing.
I’ve got the grocery order ready and need to send that off.
I bought a few catnip toys for Percy and he seems to like them. So maybe that will get him to start coming out.

Nappage and cee-mint pond time have been achieved. Dindin will either be forage da fridge or magic intartoobz pizza. It’s all up in the air at the moment. ‘Tis hawt out and we both started to feel a little blah so we came on in da cave. I think I did get a little bit of heat exhaustion this mornin’. Stayin’ in the cool sounds like a good idea for the rest of the day.

Half-sheveled. I had to buy groceries, and “not stinky” was the best I could manage for today. This cold is still kicking my butt.
Groceries are stowed, supper is likely to be chicken nuggets or something - turns out that I can’t cook worth a damn when I can’t smell or taste anything.
The Boy’s Giant Box o’ Crap got a bunch of additions today, thanks to unadvertised specials at the big grocery store. (I’m guessing that the newest manager didn’t realize how much he needed to cut back on his order in the summertime. During the summer semester, the city’s population drops by about 40%, and the store closest to campus takes a big hit in sales volume.) Works for me - the zipper bags and such won’t go bad, and the cereal and pasta and cookies will be fine until August 1. I also started a shelf of freezer items for the boys - IQF chicken and vacuum sealed fish fillets will also be fine for another several weeks.
I seem to have inherited a new “pet.” The back porch is home to about a dozen geckos lately, and one of them is a brave little fellow. If I sit out here for more than about 5 minutes, he will crawl onto my lap and visit for a bit. I guess he needs a name now!
Laundry is in off the lines, except for the whites, which are tumbling in the new dryer. It’s a bigger drum than the old dryer - theoretically, things should dry faster because there’s more room, right? We shall see.
It’s upper 80s with a breeze - I worked up a bit of a sweat while I was taking down and folding my clothes. The guys pressure washed the deck and the seats out there - they did an amazing job! I sent a complimentary email right after they left. I love finding competent companies!
