I called the CU and for whatever reason my first payment was rejected but nobody has any idea why. They are supposed to get back to me within 3 days. I’m glad I made a second payment before the due date or I would have a missed payment.
I’m trying to build credit here, not destroy it.
It pisses me off that I have to follow behind on things and make sure they get done properly.
Now I can’t look at my credit card online because firefox doesn’t support flash, and when I try to use chrome it won’t work and IE tells me I’m not allowed access to that page.
That this comes right on the heels of the CU telling me there was a problem with my truck title and I needed to contact the previous lender, and THEY were the previous lender is not giving me a lot of faith/trust in the CU.
I know I’m anal because every time I pay a bill I check my account to make sure the money is taken out and the bill to make sure the money has been credited correctly, even the automatic payment ones. But damn, you almost have to be anal anymore - you can’t trust anybody to get it right.
You bet Stainless, I’ll be checking with a third, and probably a fourth and a fifth. First I have to dig my copy of the papers out of the closet.
But first - some lunch.

Usually I would start listing the various reasons someone would wish to engage in such behavior but ------- we actually have sun and some small town I never heard of before needs me to find it before the day is over. So I’ll take a pass for now.

I don’t know if crush is quite the word. He’s a 35-y/o gay Welsh musician who is seriously gorgeous, and I’m definitely not lusting after him. I really enjoyed his performances on the cruise and I think it’s pretty cool that he remembers me out of all of his thousands of gushing followers on FB. He is major eye candy, but I never dated guys who were better looking than I am, so even if there wasn’t the age, distance, marriage, and gay issues, he and I would never be an item. His loss.
I just finished rewatching Johnny Dangerously - I’d forgotten how hilarious it is, and I’d also forgotten all the big stars who had bit parts in it. How could I forget Dom DeLuise as the Pope???

The first statement is MOSTLY true. What isn’t is that dropping PMI after you’ve paid off 20% of the principle is automatic. You have to initiate the paperwork to drop PMI. Also, you can miss payments and still do this if you are current on the loan and can demonstrate a hardship that caused you to miss (usually medical bills or short term unemployment).
