The Late Night MMP

Another day done. Time to head to bed and do it all over again tomorrow.

Up, caffeinated, off to work. Today is Firday for me.

Blurf. Today is my Friday as I’ve got tomorrow off for my trip with mum to visit the family graves. No doubt she’ll have a list of stuff we simply must take with us, most of which won’t even get taken out of the back of the car…but it’s much easier to just agree to it and take the stuff rather than argue with her about it. Keep the old 'un happy, that’s what I say!

Sari, I’m glad your friend is home from the horsepistol, I hope the recovery is a quick process.

Ho hum…better get on with some irk, apparently that’s what they’re paying me for today.

Waaay too early, but I did get five and a half hours sleep, and the cat is meowing like she hasn’t eaten in weeks, so I’m up.

I’ve got the house open on this gloriously cool morning. Wish I’d opened our bedroom windows overnight - **FCD **said he had a hard time sleeping because of the heat. But he didn’t throw his covers off, so…

Today is laundry day and kill-more-poison-ivy day. I’ve also got to water my new grass since we didn’t have rain yesterday. And I’ve got to call the wood pellet guys and see what it’ll cost to have 3 tons delivered, then compare that to the cost of making 3 trips to their store. We need to get our supply early - that’ll guarantee a mild winter.

I also need to figure out when WalMart starts their back-to-school sale so I can get a buttload of crayons cheap. I should probably make myself a list so I don’t forget.

**FCD **suggested that I go to my mom’s on Saturday to help her out, then spend the night before Sunday’s party - I probably will. He’s not going because he’s antsy to get his bike done. So I’ll call Mom today and see what she thinks. I’m sure there won’t be a problem.

Thus beginneth my day. Happy Thursday!!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 75 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 94 for the day with possible afternoon rain/tstorms/apocalypse. Today I get to travel down to the southwest forty. I have appointments in three counties down that way so that should pretty much take up my irkday. On the plus side, I can leave from da cave. On the minus side, since I’m travelin’ that should ensure we do have some kind of rain/tstorm/apocalypse this afternoon.

Sari glad your friend is back home.

bobbio congrats on the new gig!

Ok, that’s all I got. I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants sustenance. Then, alas and alack, irk purtification must commence.

Happy Thursday Y’all!

Anti-blurf. I slept better last night than I have in quite a long time. It’s amazing what telling a toxic employer to f*ck off does for the ol’ stress level…

I killded the thread by getting some decent sleep?

nah, those of us who weren’t already out in the world were still asleep

Dishes are done. Laundry is done. Seeded area in the front is watered. Seeded area in the back is being watered. I need to make up a grocery list and head to Leonardtown.

Still loving the cool air!!

Nice job! 24 hours of silence because YOU had to sleep.

I wish I could be that good!

Howdy all. Thursday already. I think I will make today a short one since I need to use some comp time. By the time I got home yesterday and cooked and cleaned the kitchen it was 9:30 pm. Then back here by 0830. Sometimes it seems I barely left this place.

I have to inventory my fixed assets today which means I must travel to various locations. Who knew I own a fishing scale and a $4K Christmas tree? Well, they are on my fixed asset list. I can only assume my program must have paid for these items. Some more of that creative accounting that gets done here.

Alrighty then. Y’all have a good day.

Oh! And I forgot to mention, we are going to see a Shakespeare today at Shakespeare & Company in Mass. It’s “The Comedy of Errors” and I am ready for the day to be over so I can go go go!

Comedy of Errors? I’d be excited about that too! Next week I am off to see some Shakespeare as well - my local indie cinema is screening a production of The Merchant of Venice which is being broadcast from Stratford. They have already done Love’s Labours Lost and Much Ado About Nothing, I went to Stratford with friends to see LLL “live” and saw Much Ado at the cinema. They are also screening Henry V and Othello later this year but sadly I can only get to see Henry V because the Otheollo performance is when I am on holiday.

Enjoy!

Happy Thorsday!

It’s a sunny 68 degrees outside, I need to open the windows. I just finished my am irk shift, so I will get some breakfast and get busy around here.

I’m so happy my friend is home, thanks for the well-wishes. She is thrilled to be home. We talked last night and she sounded good. No idea what was wrong other then fluid buildup behind the ear and vertigo.

I woke up too early so I may take a nap after breakfast. I guess I should be calling it lunch.
Then I have to check my mortgage papers, what fun that will be.
I was told that I’d have to pay PMI for 5 years and then if I didn’t miss any payments and my balance is less than 80% of the value, the PMI will be dropped and I can get a partial reimbursement. Somebody else told me that is not true and I have to pay PMI for the life of the loan. Of course the person who told me that is trying to get me to refinance the loan.

I also have to call the credit union because I had made two payments to the credit card and only one of them was applied. When I try to look it up online the link isn’t working.

I feel like all I do is run behind other people and clean up their messes.

**sari **- until you’re running behind an elephant cleaning up its messes, well, you’re just dealing with real life. But you know that. The world has too much stoopit in it sometimes.

I am so excited!! He noticed me!!!

On FB, I friended the violinist who performed on my cruise last summer. He posts pics and videos as well as updates of his career and travels. While most folks post gushing comments, I tend to be more humorous. For example, he recently changed his profile pic and all the comments were about how handsome he is and how beautiful his eyes are. I, on the other hand, copied the photo, then using my mad photoediting skillz (can you say MS Paint?) I added google-eyes glasses, a funny hat, and a handlebar mustache, all very amateurish. Then I posted it. He thought it was hilarious.

Well, he’s released a second album, but since I’m not going to be on a cruise with him any time soon, I contacted him about getting a copy. We’ve exchanged a couple of emails, and he specifically mentioned how he enjoys my posts and how they make him laugh. In fact, he referred to me as his Darling Fan! :heart::heart::heart::heart: I am far too pleased about this whole thing, but I am excited to get his next album. He said he’d contact me next week when he gets back home and send me a PayPal request so we can do business. Now, if he’ll just do a US tour and perform in the DC area…

Awww, EmilyG, you are so sweet! I’m feeling pretty good about having Virtual Canadian cookies, anyway.

It’s been 10 years since I paid off my mortgage, but IIRC, PMI did go away after a few years. Don’t remember the reimbursement. I’d check it out with a third party (which I expect you’re going to do without me suggesting it, anyway… )

Welcome to the human (rat) race, my dear.:stuck_out_tongue:

yes you did. and they were full of yum

Thursday flavored blurf!
