It’s not so hot but it is humid. We closed the windows last night and put on the AC. I still haven’t gotten anybody to look at it.
The cable is still giving me trouble too, but now Sah-son’s computer is disconnecting as well.
One day I am going to call a company and actually get a competent informed person to help me and when that day comes we are going to forget all about global warming
We’ve dropped the cat off at the boarding place. Now my sister and I need to go to the bank, and I need to see if I can find where I put my @#$!% medication. (Just Gravol - motion-sickness medication.)
I’m seriously worried about that, actually. We love the cat very much, and he’s old (15 years old) and we hope that boarding won’t be too much of a shock to him.
I actually had some fears of something like that. Our porch has brick pillars; now the ground level is about 3 feet below deck level and about 3 feet above the deck the pillars have these stone blocks forming edges. I lined it up so I could run the strap over that ledge to get upward pull figuring upward lift would be a good thing removing something from the ground. My first instinct was to get things tight and basically just go for it ----- and then I thought about how that could quickly become a sort of reinvention of a form of catapult and did it more by inches. Hey - I really enjoy doing stupid things ---- I just try to do them as smartly as I can.
<passes hand over scalp> I’m not real far away from not needing one.
Actually for the anniversary of the Battle of Kittanning I shaved everything from the toenails up and went Native. The OW laughed her ass off - said I looked like the demented love-child of Uncle Fester and Charlie Brown. And the actual Natives I was working with took one look and flashed right away to “Taras Bulba: The Overweight Version”. So there is precedence.
Assuming your Yahoo is still good I may send a picture later.
I know what you mean - that you are trying to find a place to kennel and care for your cat while you are gone. But somehow my brain just can’t stop the image of you, a cat, a piece of plywood and a nail gun.
Howdy Y’all! Home from doin’ VBS grunt work. I’m really good at that. I can drag stuff around, put stuff on the walls etc. with the best of 'em. Anywho, the place does look like a campsite. I was Impressed!
However, I’s tahrd! I just et hotdawgs for N.O.L. and I foresee a little nappy poo before cee-mint pond time.
Did you look into getting a pet sitter instead of boarding the cat?
I think most cats do better staying home with a sitter coming in once a day. Even if they don’t like strangers they are still in their own comfortable environment.
I’m finally doing laundry.
No choice in the matter, I am out of clean clothes.
The first one featured bigger idiots but the second one had a stump taking out a Beemer. They’re pretty even in my ranking.
Irk was very irksome today and I have to go in and do it all over again tomorrow. Fortunately the Squirrel will be off and I’ll be working with Detailed who can handle having everything thrown at his head in stride.
Howdy Y’all! We had a nice afternoon at the cee-mint pond followed by steak, friggin’ good N.O.T., sallit, garlic bread and Mrs. Edwards made us a lemon pie for dessert. JDD and Partner have left and now we are chillin’ in the a/c. The water in the cee-mint pond felt good but it’s hawt out!
Midget I’m sure the trip will go well and that kitty cat will be fine. She may even eventually forgive you.
Went to an amazing concert last March - and tonight I discovered that there’s a video of it online! So happy. Nice to relive a bit of it - didn’t have time to watch the whole thing.
‘Tis time to go lie upon the bed and watch teevee until sleepy time which I have a feelin’ won’t be long. I do need my rest as tomorrow mornin’ I get to herd Whiskypalians aka ush duty.
Y’all are very productive. I can say that I managed to get my son’s room cleaned, which I am proud of. He’d been denning without human intervention since my accident 6 weeks ago. He moaned the whole time, but we got it done it in about 2 hours. I kept reminding him, “this is why you just put it away when you’re done. A little at a time doesn’t feel so painful.”
Have I mentioned that I (affectionately) call the kiddos “house trolls”? It’s worse than they were born in a barn. We have a checklist that we’re hoping they hit by college: laundry, bathing, cereal, and ramen. We might make it.
Other than that I have ordered some roses, in anticipation of getting back into my garden this Fall.
