The Late Night MMP

blurf!

Multiple guess test.

1.) The accelerating blurf.

2.) The ever increasing blurf.

3.) All of the above.

4.) Some, but not all of the above.

Results are due Friday.

Silly man - it’s showing the strength of her blurf signal. How can you not know that??

I do not believe that you will fare well on Friday. :dubious:
Let’s try again:

1.) Amplitude modulation

2.) Frequency modulation

3.) Bandwidth manipulation.

Fall out, my arse. I was merely pointing out an error in his logic, as I would do for any [del]fiend[/del], [del]friend[/del], fiend (I had it right the first time!).

Of course.

It’s a blurf crescendo.

(Fun fact: The word “crescendo” actually means a gradual increase, and not “climax,” as many writers seem to think.)

Happy Hump Day!

The sun is shining and it looks pretty out, but I know from putting the dog out in the middle of the night that is is humid.

My mother and Niece1 are coming over on next Wednesday. My niece is going to go with Sah-son to the college to help hm finish up the things that need to be done in person.
I hope that going to school and making friends will get him out of his shyness.

I have lots to do, and of curse most of it won’t get done. Laziness is habit forming.

Hemmage of towels is done. I also called my mom to ask if she wanted me to bring her any Amish veggies when I go see her on Sunday. 20 minutes later, I got off the phone. My mom likes to talk…

It’s only 1030 and I’m STARVING!!! That’s probably because I finished eating my PB&J before 6 and I’ve had nothing else. So, do I make lunch or go get something? The closest non-convenience store food place is at least 5 miles. I’m in the mood for a burger, but not a fast food burger, and I don’t want to go all the way to Red Robin. Decisions, decisions…

Big news happening: I accepted a new job last night, and turned in my resignation from my old gig this morning. People around the orifice are wondering why I have such an odd grin on my face today.

Irk had irked me one time too many, so it’s time to find new irks. 12 more years of this bullshit and I retire.

Congrats, BBBobbio! Are you allowed to give us a clue about the new irk?

**BBBobbio **- did you change your mind about Compass???

Still hereabouts or elsewhere?

Moooooom, the only compass in my future is the one I have in my camping gear. And I intend for it to stay that way.
The new gig has me moving from unmanned helicopter program management into blood and guts electrical/software engineering on a system I’m not yet sure of what I can say. The new system is in a manned, fixed wing aircraft however.

Sounds cool (I think), Bobbio. Best of luck with it.

You might also not know how to react to my having no clue what some here are on about.

Day off, went to bed early last night, just got up (mostly due to a certain furry alarm clock wanting her breakfast). Today’s thrilling plans include a couple of loads of laundry, cooking up some chicken I thawed (some is going to meet the Foreman, some will become taco meat), probably bugging the transit system about my refund, and hopefully getting DH over to the library branch that has the 3D printer so he can see it for himself. I checked it out a few days ago, and it’s pretty cool.

Congrats BBBobbio!!! Hoping this change is just the ticket.

Swampy, I am SO SO jealous of your cookies. :frowning: How I wish I had some fine cookies of my own! And a cookie shop that serves breakfast too.

Bobboi, I hope the new job fits the bill. I have one year (13 months) to go before I go out the door.

I just had to share this with the folks here, found while browsing the CNN news site:

I am SO going to do that before I retire!!

Good Luck with new irk BBBOOOOOBBBBIIIOOOOO

I am at irk of course. I just finished some accounts payable. It is very cloudy out. Dare I think we will get some actual rain? Nah, probably won’t.

Today is the last day of the class two of my employees are in Thank goodness. I need them here irking.

In other news we got a marketing plan written and am assembling maintenance records. Next week we will start a deep cleaning of the bldg in anticipation of the Accreditation Team visit on 3 Aug.

kopek and sari Them there are some creepy stories.

On the kitty front. I have a cat named Scooter. She just turned 5 years of age. She will lie down and roll back and forth inviting belly scritches and then will bite and scratch. Needless to say she is her Daddy’s girl. Mama don’t fall for it anymore. Cats be weird.

I just brought in the laundry because it was looking ominous. The towels were ever-so-slightly damp, so they’re in the dryer for a few minutes. The tablecloth and place mats are put away. Oh, yeah, and as soon as I got in the house, the sun came out. But it’s gone again, so I stand by my decision!

I went to WaWa and got a hoagie. Now I’m going to stencil the towels. I don’t want to, but my adoring public demands it! Incidentally, the iron from the basement is MUCH better than the one that I had upstairs. Yay!

Back when I worked outside of home, I didn’t dare go onto this website during work, because sometimes I’d complain about work on this board (while at home.) Though I didn’t usually have much to complain about.
