The Mandalorian Season 3 [Open Spoilers]

We saw a few times that the flame thrower weapons had absolutely no affect on Din so if a normal Mandalorian suit doubles as a space suit and it’s completely fireproof, it’s not a big leap to assume that Gus, in his super duper powered armor suit, survived being engulfed by a fireball.

They’ve mentioned Grand Admiral Thrawn. I admittedly haven’t kept up with all the other Star Wars recently, but he would be a cool villain to have next on the list of Final Boss for the Season / Series.

He was the villain in Star Wars rebels and will probably be the villain in the upcoming Ahsoka.

Thrawn was also the villain in the Timothy Zahn novels which was the first post Return of the Jedi media we ever got back in the 90s (Zahn also created the idea and name of Coruscant).

You mean scraped the serial numbers of Trantor.

Gideon actually said he deigned his suit as the next evolution of the Dark Trooper, the android troopers from last season, so for sure his suit was powered like theirs.

Zahn didn’t describe Coruscant as being a single planet wide city like Trantor was, that came later. Just having a capital planet for the Empire & New Republic doesn’t really strike me as scraping the serial numbers off Trantor.

Link to a meme on reddit that I always think of everytime the Mandos have a battle:

Distance-wise, orbit isn’t that far away. Getting the proper velocity to obtain orbit is expensive, but if the fleet happened to be right above him, it doesn’t take too much hand-waving.

It seems to me that those jetpacks should have repulsorlift on them and use the jets for thrust and maneuvering. This is a universe that puts repulsors on everything - there was even a book where they had them on ottomans and couches.

More than likely. Rebels ended thus: (Spoilers for the Star Wars: Rebels animated series, and possibly for the Ahsoka series)

Thrawn and Ezra Bridger, the young Jedi-in-training hero, were “lost” within hyperspace. In the final scene of the final episode, Ahsoka and the Mandalorian character Sabine Wren set out to try to find Ezra. It’s already been confirmed that Sabine will appear in Ahsoka’s series. It would not be at all surprising if Ezra and Thrawn do, as well.

And Grogu’s pod.

Also, in a world with repulsor lift technology, “orbital velocity” isn’t even needed. You can be in any orbit, at any speed, and use the repulsors to maintain position, instead of being in a ballistic free-fall path. Any kind of anti-grav or reactionless drive technology completely changes what it means to travel in space.

My question about the jetpacks is how do they not burn their butts?

Or their damn capes!

I’ve always wondered that, although at least they have armor unlike (say) the Rocketeer.

Given how Din Djarin’s cape never lit on fire when he was repeatedly hit by flamethrowers, I wonder if the Armorer is weaving beskar cloth.

I’m starting to think their whole outfit is fireproof, dude was taking direct prolonged blasts from flamethrowers and just shrugging them off. Your armor that covers like 60% of your body is not protecting you from those.

And children’s toys. Or at least princesses’s toys.

Hell, a place like Coruscant couldn’t even function without such technology. Imagine trying to travel using noting but ground transportation, when the city is made of towers that are hundreds of stories tall, so tall that the ground is practically a myth to most residents.
