Well, I’m here. Which is to say, Canby and I decided to stay at one of the hotels just for the heck of it – I’m using the opportunity to have some work done in my apartment.
The Red Roof has wifi included with the price of the room! Yay for geek hotels! Pictures and news as events warrant.
Last night at Blondie’s was very much fun. Lots of laughs and boobies and tattoo sharing and butt-squeezings. (I captured rtfirefly squeezing Persephone’s butt with my digital camera! We’ll be discussing the terms of the extortion tonight, probably.)
My wife is currently making cookies for all her cookie junkies tonight (chocolate cookies, not her ever-lovin’ chocolate chip).
We’re looking forward to this evening’s festivities at America and No Idea.
I shall echo the Dave-Guy’s comments; Blondie’s was fun, even though it got too loud for me to track conversations after a while. Before it did, though, it was great to actually add voices to posting styles of people.
Must go do family stuff, and then will see people at No Idea later tonight, partner-in-crime in tow most likely. Even as I type, he is shaving his head.
Yep, the Ellis Island trip is still on. Meet at noon at Castle Clinton (the ticket office) in Battery Park.
We’ve got three options for Ethnic Food Night, Indian, Chinese and Brazilian. I’ll have details on all three at Ellis Island, or you can hunt for the sign-up thead which has the full set-up.
Whoa. I’m gone for a week & the whole damn board looks completely different.
In any case, I’m not gonna make No Idea after all; my flight didn’t get in until around 4:20 PM & then I had to talk to a supervisor about an accident on board (Long story short: I got hit across the bridge of the nose with a metal cane; yes, I’m okay. Full story to be told & retold tomorrow.).
Between filling out an accident report & waiting for the cab, I didn’t enter my domicile until maybe 6:30 PM & what with the nose-whacking, I think my mom’d feel better if I stayed home tonight.
I wanted to post this morning, but I was far too hungover to get a coherent thought out. Actually, I’m still somewhat hazy, but I’m also pretty bored at the moment soooo:
I had a really great time too!! Thank you sara for draggin’ me out, and a warm hearty thank you to nyctea for giving me a place to crash.
I wish I could be joining y’all the rest of the weekend and next year I’ll actually plan (and save) for it.
Oh, and my apologies to the lovely lady to whom I probably embarrassed by walking up to and proudly proclaiming “I love you”. As lovable as I’m sure you are I was sorta kinda performing a task given to me during Opal’s blank cards game. (Ummm, I wonder if this means I’ll lose those points now?).
Had a fantastic time yesterday - though I’m still so tired I don’t think I could put together a coherent post of what was said and done (Other than two comments that the small group of us from the Gaming Walk will never forget - House of Random Pickles and E-Sabbath’s flag being at half mast), so I’ll leave it to people that can turn a better phrase than I.
However, I CAN leave you with pictures. From Saturday Sadly, there aren’t any pictures of the Gaming Tour itself… I just didn’t think to take pictures of gaming geeks buying stuff!
