The Slugabed MMP

What is wrong with you, woman? Have you learned nothing from us? < insert exasperation with head-shaking>

Just back from Aldi with MIL. We got all the chores done including BIL’s taxes that he didn’t think he had to file. He was due a big refund but he may lose much of it to penalties. We shall see.

Supper at Sonny’s tonight, then we’ll pack the car. Departure in the dark of the morning. At last!

I’ve let the MMP get away from me this week. Trying to keep up.

If necessary, sure. I’m serious. You’ve done so much for MIL, FIL, and FCD. I know you will continue to do so. And you almost didn’t come on this trip at all.

So there should be no shame at all in saying, “I need a little down time. I’m going to go hang at the coffee shop (or wherever) for a couple hours.” I’m sure FCD will understand, and the ‘rents-in-law don’t need to.

Big old YAYs for you!!!

We’re seeing our house-to-be in person tomorrow morning! Leaving for the airport right after irk.
I’m packing a copy of the electrical schematic, as I think that’s the main thing we want to double-check is correct before the drywall goes in. I’m excited!

Have fun seeing the new house!

I live in a hobbit-hole of a rental and have limited storage space.

One hell of a lightning show north of MSP last night. The video is slow to load.

Glad that you didn’t have to bug out bumba.

Have a safe trip home Mooooooom.

Hope that your pain subsides soon shady.

{{{doggio}}} May you heal soonest.

nellie, when I flash, I’m upgrading software on phones. It’s a bit dull, especially today when the system was slow (it’s third party software, so our IT guys can’t do anything about it).

Irked, came home, walked Nelson and et. Such excitement!

Stay safe and healthy y’all!

Howdy Y’all! We procured provisions and achieved mowage, so a big productive day for us! Have no fear, we did manage sloth and nappage as well. It’s all in the time management. Sup also got cooked and et and there are leftovers for tomorrow so that’s a big win. Thus it is in swampland this Hump Day Evenin’.

Afternoon all. Swimmin’ (1700 yards) and shopping ($135) have been completed, still need to get celery (all Kroger had is “organic” and I refuse on principal to buy organic–Organic means carbon-based and all food (heck, we humans) are Organic, so it’s just an excuse to charge me more…IMHO. YMMV.

OK ranting done. The guy replacing my tiles is due at 8am tomorrow, so I need to be sure to set my alarm for 7am or so to make sure I’m up and the car is moved out of the garage and onto the street.

Wheelie, safe travels and may your new place be all that you want it to be.

shoe, fingers crossed that the job works out good for you. Take care.

doggio, at least you don’t have great big blisters on your heart: Blistered - YouTube

Bumba, glad you got to stay put, hope the firefighting efforts pay off for you.

Flyboy, cats is weird. Glad Abbey is OK.

Taters, glad you caught it (the funding document), some people just can’t break a routine even if they are told about it.

VanGo, had to look up CNC machine, interesting tool, I’m sure you have it programmed for the right thing.

OK, need to check the mail (got some soccer referee socks from UPS today) and think about dinner. All y’all have a good evening.

Back at the hospital today with tachycardia. Chemically converted. The same team as 2 weeks ago and they remembered me because I was so nice. Not a good day for me.

I tried Trader Joe’s Argentinian Red Shrimp with Ginger Garlic Butter & Togarashi Style Seasoning for dinner. It was so salty, it was almost inedible. The chile seasoning was very mild, I couldn’t detect the ginger, and, for all of the salt, I almost couldn’t taste the shrimp.

Earlier today, I straightened up and wham! It felt like someone had kicked me in the spine. I took a naproxen. Luckily, I didn’t wimp out on going to the gym because the treadmill actually helped.

I took the chocolate pudding to my neighbor’s place, and she is very grateful. However, she’s kenneling her dog through the weekend. It’ll be 90º on Sunday and Moanday, so the pup and I might get heatstroke, but whatever it takes.

WetOne, I’m so sorry. That sounds scary and awful . Please keep us posted.

We all agreed that Sonny’s was a disappointment. Just OK, barely.

The car is mostly packed. Much lightning and boomage ensung.FCD s snoring, FIL is watching TV loudly. Hope I can sleep soon.

Dreading tomorrow’s drive, but I’ll be glad to get home. It’s been somewhat sfressful.

Made salad, and pasta with seafood, garlic, and Calabrian chillies for dinner. Had a Negroni for cocktail hour.

Me: I’m getting better!
My body: No, you’re not. You’ll be stone dead in a moment.

[Picard]Make it so.[/Picard]

I have a 1992 sectional for NC/D.C. area on my wall.

{{{{WetOne}}}}

I can imagine.

I used to use expired sectionals for gift wrapping.

How on earth are you wrapping things in couches?

lol that was my first thought

Mine too. Great minds I guess.

I’ll admit to the same misunderstanding.

Finally ransomed my poor car from the dealership service department. Worried me that it was running a bit rough, but DH is confident that it’s a question of the engine computer relearning its duties, and it had smoothed out a lot by the time I got home. There will be some erranding and roaming tomorrow while DH is at irk, and the car gets a consolation trip to the detailer. We turn in the rental Jeep on Saturday, which DH is not delighted by. He’s going to miss it.

I’ll have to google what a sectional couch is.
