Here briefly. I’m sleeping at home, Mr. Lissar is at the hospital getting puked on. Thanks for the good vibes. Going to bed.
Hugs to all the Lissars and get well vibes sent to Gnat.
I had a fairly uneventful day, and for that I’m thankful. And tomorrow is hump day, so the week is almost half over. Hope everything is going okay for BBBBBobbio out in San Deigo; at least it should be much warmer there than it is here! Chilly rain in the forecast tomorrow, unfortunately.
Night folks!
Grumpy.
People need to give me space.
Well, I didn’t mean YOU guys.
Awwww. hugs the Soapy
It rained for anout 5 minutes! Yay!
We are having a drought, and any and all raindrops are greedily welcomed.
Going to bed. See y’all tomorrow.
Another day and more paperwork from the insurance.
Bobbio - you had an RNY, didn’t you? Was there more paperwork than if you’d bought a house?
It’s like those insurance people thrive on killing trees. For the CPAP machine, we got an approval for the CPAP unit itself, another approval for the attached humidifier, and now in the early stages of thinking about surgery, there’s been an approval to take a psych test, approval to have it evaluated and approval for a consultation visit with the surgeon. Assuming they ultimately approve surgery, I think we’ll put it into a nice frame as a monument to tenacity and paper-wrangling.
I’m thinking one three-inch binder will not be big enough.
Had an RNY, don’t recall a lot of paperwork/red tape. FWIW, I had BCBS/FedGov at the time. About the only thing I remember odd as far as hoops to jump was having to see a cardiologist for a clearance.
Went to Escondido tonight to see my aunt and uncle; he’s my mom’s oldest brother. I haven’t seen them in many years, last time I was still single. A good time was had.

Heh, Escondido, interesting name (it means Hidden). Made me laugh.
I’m going to two specialists and the papers I’d gotten from the doc were different. Turns out one is in the same health center (and I’ll get a phone call with the appointment) and the other one is in the nearest hospital, the one I pass on my way to work (and they’ll send me a letter). Not only is bureaucracy a 4LW, it’s an extremely convoluted 4LW!
Didn’t get as much of the kitchen Spring cleaned as I would have liked, but it’s past time to go to the Land of Nod, and I can work on it tomorrow.
Nighty night!
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 59 degrees Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 72 along with tstorms today, tonight and tomorrow. We need the rain too Rebo.
[Scarlett O’Hara] After all, tomorrow is another day! [/Scarlett O’Hara]
Tonight is soup ‘n sammich night at the church house so no cookin’ for da bear. I boiled a chikin last night. It shall get made into a chikin pot pie for tomorrow’s dindin. I may even go ahead and assemble it at some point today. Chikin pot pie does not mind if’n it sets in da fridge all night.
BBBobbio glad you had a good time with the 'tives.
gotti y’all get an A for tenacity.
Ok, tome for more caffiene and some brekkie for rumbly tummy. Then, irk purtification must commence. Gotta get more info from my “friend” at the employment office today. Reckon how that will go!
Happy Hump Day Y’all!
Morning all, up and caffeinating here - maple oatmeal (maypo? :)) has been consumed so tummy is not rumbly right now. And it’s hump day, so after today, it’s two more days to the weekend.
Sending get well wishes to all who need them, and … oh, what the heck, Rosie’s .sig all around! That’s all I got right now; I’m only partially caffeinated.
Have a great day all.
Escondido? You’re in my (brief) stomping ground. Lived just north of La Jolla, just south of Del Mar, Oceanside etc. Just off US 1. Loved all the little beach towns.
Ugh. Miserable night sleep. My brain would not shut off.

Ivory – pictures of your rack, or it didn’t happen!
**Nava – judging by your tales of Bureaucratic Inefficiency, I’d say it sounds like you’re in some Mediterranean country… (guess how I know what it’s like…)
Tonight is our turn to lose an hour of sleep.
Why yes, er must do everything differently; on a different day of the week, even!
Changing time DURING the work week? That sounds like fun. Not.
Hope everyone gets through the medical bureaucracy quickly and successfully.
And hope Nat is better today.
Off to find breakfast and pack lunch…
Hugs.

Well, to be fair, you meed to remember that our work-week is Sunday-Thursday, so Friday is the beginning of the Weekend.
Although (like Saturday in the US) stores are generally open and some people do work regularly on Friday. The reason we don’t transition between Friday and Saturday is, of course, religious… – observant Jews won’t re-set an electronic clock on the Sabbath (including the fact that it would be political murder to force telcos etc… to have engineers on site/call for the transition on Friday night.)
Dunnow, at least these ones have the documents in Spanish and offer explanations in a dozen languages, unlike the Basileans who have the documents in a dozen not-very-well-translated languages but have the explanations only in German. Is Switzerland mediterranean?
I think I speak for all of us when I say: you’ve been missed.
I usually borrow mine from my church or the one local funeral home; think in terms of any business that needs to protect parking now and then.
I don’t know anything else to the story, but KT told me he overheard this at work this morning: “…she fell, and hadn’t realized she had impaled herself on the knitting needle…”
Does anyone else have a friend who just has bad luck? My mom’s expression for it is “If she didn’t have bad luck, she wouldn’t have any luck at all.” So far this year - just this year mind you - my friend has had pink eye, a sinus infection, and an ear infection and has been on antibiotics for about a month (new job working with kids + not-so-great immune system); backed her car into someone because she couldn’t see past a snowbank; and just Monday was backed into by someone else and was somewhat hurt, although not badly enough to be in the hospital. How does all of that happen to one person in three months? And it’s not like this is unusual. She’s frequently sick and other things just happen. Last year it was her dog that got really sick at one point. Things like that just happen all the time to her.
The buffalo chili last night was very good. Chili + blue cheese + tortilla chips… how can you go wrong with that combination??
