It wasn’t the actual last post of the thread but it was the thought that count. With my new schedule and knowing I was going to have a tougher full 8 hour day today I turned off the game at half-time and went to sleep – visions of beating the Cowboys throughout my night. And since I woke up just before my alarm went off I decided it was a sign from God to check the score. WOOHOO!!! I was so thrilled that my planned top layer (the usual Knoebels sweatshirt) was cast aside in favor of my favorite vintage Tarkenton shirt. So one of the 12-year-olds I work with say it from the front and asked “Who wears #10”? Why Sir Francis of Tarkenton of course!

I can’t go the new car but -------- some open bars of deodorant soap left on the front and real dashes and parking in full sun will help with some of the stink. Plus a good scrub-down in general. and KEEP AT IT – I’M PULLING FOR YOU!
Dinner was pasta with DelGrosso’s sauce of course. You make a great food product and have a terrific little amusement park and you have our loyalty.
(Plus they let me help fix a couple rides once. That didn’t hurt either.)
Only got two bags of leaves sucked up. I did one and my son did one. I had no idea leaf blowers could get so heavy.
It’s raining, but a still warm 57 degrees outside. I am dreading the cold that is coming. I got my long underwear today and am so happy with it I ordered another pair. Also bought enough groceries that we should be able to go three weeks instead of two. Just it case it gets nasty.
Taking a break from switching between a MAS*H marathon (Sundance channel) and the tackleball game. Got lazy and ended up eating meatloaf at Logans Roadhouse–service was slow due to the holidays, I guess, but the food was still good.
Nettie, dropped you an PM where the photos are. And no, my face is pretty much unmarred–let them use the electric shaver on the thick beard and then let them spread the shaving cream on my face, but I kept control of the safety razor…

Batboy!! Long time no see. I understand, sometimes we know our own home activities the worse. If I had company here, I’d have to read up on a couple places I’ve heard about but never been too (my go-to’s are the Space Museum and the Jack Daniels Distillery for company).
I wish I didn’t know. It’s this woo malarky that says using your fingers to tap “meridians” (Certain points on your body. See Accupuncture.) can cure everything from colds to cancer. Proponents like to say it comes from ancient Eastern religions, but in reality, it’s the brainchild of one Gary Craig, a guy with a degree in engineering whose sole claim to expertise in this stuff is that he’s always been interested in self-improvement.

A nurse stuck her head and told me it’s bedtime. Hah! That’s hilarious. When the party out in the hall ends maybe I’ll doze awhile.
The lil’wrekker texted me mad as a wet hen because I didn’t inform her I was coming to the hospital. I don’t know who told her but I’ll find out. She don’t need to worry about her Mom.
So far it hasn’t been too bad.
heh last time I was in the hospital i drove a few old batnurses I watched almost nothing but pro-wrestling…for 2 weeks even the after-hours Asian “garbage” leagues on channels that spoke no English … a couple of the younger ones would pop in and watch with me , But they knew i kept weird hours anyways
Funny story my cable company gets KBSA which is the English subtitled version of the korean broadcast system and I was watching basically a soap opera and one of the old coots next to me was watching it and all of a sudden he was laughing a when i said "yeah i know the story’s ridiculous " he said thats definitely true but he served in Korea for 10 years and knew the language and as he put it whoever did the subtitles had a creative interpretation of what they were saying …
Woke stupid early, so got up stupid early and got to the office stupid early. Which means I’ll be bugging out early. It was mild and spitting rain, but cold and nasty is in the forecast. I just need to stay awake till I get home. And then till Daughter and SIL get home, since I’ll have custody of Roxy.

Tonight we have a FREEZE WARNING as the temp will get down to thirty Amurrkin. :eek: I reckon I should pull out some sweatpants tonight for in the mornin’. The big item on today’s agenda is laundry. Also bug guy comes this mornin’ to do the monthly keep the bugs away stuff. Sup shall be chikin 'n dumplin’s with some sort of vegetative matter TBD.

It’s pouring rain outside but a not too cold 43 degrees.
The temp is supposed to drop steadily, and since I’ve been up it’s gone from 45 to 43.
Tomorrow morning is supposed to be horribly cold.
Still going to go to the park today, the brats are already acting up. Echo has a bad habit of running between my legs while she and Ripple are tussling. That part isn’t so bad (except on the stairs), but I have gotten nipped on the inner thigh a few times and and she still has a mouth full of razor blades.
Echo is has grown a lot, almost as tall as Ripple, but only half his weight.
She is going to be a big girl.

I had a great three days off mostly playing with the puppy. He is a lot of fun.

Big Wrek says the pets are ok. The cats came and ate their breakfast while he was drinking coffee. He told me Bear gave him stink eye the whole time.
I’m informed that it was record cold temps outside. From my 4th floor window it looks very sunny.
