According to the Weather Channel website, it’s 38° here - it was mid-50s when I left home. And it’s raining.
Not amused.
Been very busy this morning - currently working (well after lunch is done) in a drawbridge!! It’s part of a C-130 trainer - I assume access to the trainer. I’m sorry I won’t be here to see it built.
Butters, don’t be doing that to us (26F this morning in North Ali-bama). Of course, I did get to sleep in until after 9am…:p:p
Hang in there, FCM; think that very soon nappage will be possible (except when the little one needs changing…)
Sunny, considering your name…
Beck, horsepistols will kick you out soon as they can, so they can get another paying customer admitted…
Wet one, not sure of your location, but it’ll probably get worse…
Not much planned for today, need to make myself presentable and stop at the Credit Union today, but otherwise I think I’ll stay in and watch the cold weather from there.
We used peanut butter to convince little blind dog to sit still while we were trimming her claws yesterday. Apparently she had too much. She spent the night throwing up and 'Beamette spent the night cleaning up. Poor babies. Trimmed claws though!
I’ve hit the wall. Going home in about an hour. Tried sushi for lunch. As Jim Gaffigan says about Skittles “nasty crap.” MetalMouse I’m about 40 miles west of Chicago. Yeah, this is just the beginning…
Good morning, everyone! It’s been a misty, foggy morning here, which I like, and has warmed up to the low 50s.
Ms. Woo replied to Ms. Vet’s comments a tad sharply for my taste. I responded with a remark that supported Ms. Vet without (hopefully) ticking off Ms. Woo too much. I have to go to a dinner with her tomorrow night. There will be another woo or two there. I intend to wear a Stepford smile and mentally name all the states and their capitals. If asked any questions, I’ll reply with a sprightly, “The capital of Vermont is Montpelier!”
I have an appointment with the oncologist this afternoon. I have not been taking the aromatase inhibitors. He’s not gonna be happy.
Was sitting here thinking how quiet it is with the neighbors gone.
The downstairs tenants are still there, I ran into one of them yesterday. I asked if her was moving too and he said eventually. I said weren’t you asked to leave and he said yeah, but he told the landlady he’s not leaving yet. I said I guess when you are her uncle you get to tell her that, and he laughed.
No snow here, and none predicted. I forgot to pick up my prescriptions again today. I drive right past the pharmacy everyday, just whiz on by. I’m debating going out now. Probably not, if I could go by myself it would be okay, but I will have to get the dogs dressed and take them with me.
I have a mess of phone calls I need to make, I suppose I should get on them. I hate making phone calls.
Howdy Y’all! Laundry is done. YAY! The rain came through and is now gone but the temp has dropped to 48 Amurrkin out and ‘tis windy. Forgot to mention this this mornin’, but I am headin’ over to an assistive livin’ place around three. A very dear friend, age ninety-seven, has moved there from the independent livin’ part of the complex over there and EYP is comin’ over to bless her suite (as it’s called instead of room) and have Holy Communion. I was invited by her, so I shall go. Several other people will be there as well.
It was snowing when I left, but as I drove home, it gradually stopped and I could see clear skies moving in from the west. Daughter and SIL have left for class and Roxy is being her pesty self. Not sure what we’ll have for supper - I just want to go to bed.
The gloves are off in the fight between veteran friend and woo friend. I’m thinking of removing the post. I hate to admit defeat. On the other hand, everyone who would’ve seen the original post has done so by now.
Swampbear, I’m impressed and heartened that your friend is just now moving to assisted living at age 97. I bet the blessing of the suite will be lovely.
And to the people of Pittsburgh and the surrounding townships ------- IT’S SNOW – DEAL WITH IT! It isn’t a bad snow, it isn’t a surprise snow, its just some damn snow. Now get it out of your systems and stay out of my yard and off the streets at 5am; you’re now all officially on my last good nerve.
We had some flurries, then it stopped and the sun came out. Now it’s flurrying again.
The pups are making me crazy because they want me to go outside with them.
I don’t think so.
Cold, cold, cold in the boonie-woods. I’m home. Just coming out of my drug addled stupor. Have no clue about the ride home or getting in pjs and in my bed. I twisted around to look at the clock and the Siameezers were in my chair staring at me. Bear stood up and arched his back and clacked his jaw. Meeko came right over and gave me a kitty hug. Bear has decided I’m still the same person. His tail is puffy, but he’s sitting on the bed. Both dogs are whining. I’m thinking they need a walk about outdoors.
Gotta get up and eat something.
metal mouse, the JD or George Dickel (tasting room there) distilleries, Rocket town, the Country Music Hall of Fame Museum, the wax museum, the Hermitage and Lane Motor Museum are places where I usually take out of town visitors. Every few years, I get to take one to the Opry or a show at the Ryman.
It’s freakin’ cold out here. It was 24F when I left for irk and didn’t get warmer during the day. My department is on an outside corner of the building with an overhead door used by maintenance next to it, so it didn’t get warmer than 61F indoors for me today. I was pretty much chained to my desk (we’ve finally instituted monthly practice on my backup job…heeheehee…), so I didn’t even get out to the warmer parts of the plant. In my 25 years in middle Tennessee, this is the earliest that I’ve seen snow. It’s hard to believe that just five weeks ago, it was 97F outside.
Evening all. Figured out this afternoon that my dental appointment was at 11:30am…yesterday. So will visit them tomorrow and try to reschedule.
Dishwasher is washing and I did do a little picking up about the house, but that was about it for constructive activity. Did try to watch “Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets” on the TeeVee, but turned it off as, despite wonderful Special effects, there was a single person I cared to watch for more the 30 seconds.
Beck, glad you’re back home.
ruble, I think Pittsburgh would be able to deal with snow…
Howdy Y’all! The suite blessin’ was nice. Doris was pleased to see everyone and be the center of attention. She’s a little bit diva which is one of the many things I lurve about her. nellie she lived in the independent livin’ part of the complex for twelve years. The assisted livin’ part is like a nursin’ home but much nicer.
Beck yay for bein’ home and surrounded by your entourage.
Maybe I should go ahead and put up the “No Snow” signs.
