The sure sign of Spring MMP

This is my day to do good deeds apparently. JDD called me a little bit ago. A friend of his who does Hospice care was lookin’ for a road out my way but couldn’t find the road. He was on his way to an appointment about Hospice care for somebody. Anywho, poor guy’s phone died and his charger quit workin’ so he couldn’t plug his phone into his vehicle. He stopped in at Fred’s (out near da cave) for directions but apparently no one knew the road. They did let him use the phone so he called JDD to see if he knew. JDD did cause, well, it’s not soome little hidden road but told him that since he was real near a friend’s house to hold on while he called me. He did and I told him to tell the guy to hang on I’d be at Fred’s within five minutes. JDD thoughtfully provided a description of the guy and his vehicle. Anywho, TL;DR and all that, I led him to the road he was lookin’ for. He said he didn’t call the people where he was goin’ because they gave him the original directions (which btw made no sense) so he figured no use in that.

Howdy Mumpers and Happy Moanday,

Just caught up with you guys and still have to go back and finish last weeks MMP. I possibly worked harder in the past 5 days, than I have ever in life. All is good but Dayum, I can barely walk and I might have an audible voice tomorrow. Medicinal ethanol therapy begins shortly as I must sleep and have to loadin Alice in Chains at 9 am. I have no complaints, they paid me 2.5 times the agreed amount. I wore the Oompa Loompa socks for Caturday and they were well received.

Back Wednesday with tales of idjits, dimwits, fires and boobies. Speaking of, Boobio did that knife wielding Quack get a hold of you yet? Are you ok?

“The answers tho these questions and many more, next time on the Dope”

Jim, driver of the furiously speeding golfcart

Ok, now that I can breathe again, thanks, guys.

I just heard from him. He was asleep because he has to take a load and drive all night. This is fortunately a rare occurrence and so it hadn’t occurred to me. :smack:

The endless repeats of a snippet of music from “The Sting” aka the Ice Cream Twuck. (Who was on our street an hour ago!)

Rosie, before you move, you need some new, super-bass speakers (cranked up, of course) to give you packing music! insert ::evil smiley:: here.

Worked, had leftovers(made into a meatball sub) Bedtime, since I have to be at work at 0300

Wanna borrow 50lbs of Gordie poop, and my Metallica collection?

Yay for breathing, sticky!

That is an UnGodly Hour.

I may as well get off this infernal machine. Tomorrow’s a school day.

Thanks, all.

I was going to stay up all night looking for stuff but maybe I should go to bed instead.

I grilled Manager’s Special rib eye. That means they are going to throw it away tomorrow unless they can sell it marked down to a sucker today.
Mrs. Plant’s (v.2.0 and 3.0) favorite steak.
Go figure, they apparently have the same taste in men.
Let’s not think about that.
Also stir fried broccoli, spaghetti squash and mushrooms, garlic cloves and shallots grilled on a skewer.

Mrs. Plant (v.3.0) found a Southern Flying Squirrel on the porch one sold Spring morning. He eats from her hand and will jump onto her hand to be petted.

Only 14 people killed by the tornado, not 16, but there are still folks missing.

Jim, that particular knife-wielding quack and I are history. I haven’t gotten off my fat ass to look for a new one, yet. General quack is happy with my new blood sugar numbers, which was a big part of the double Charlie Foxtrot.

Well, at least they have good taste in steak. <old rolleyes>
& I know of someone who used to hand feed squirrels in the park…until one bit her hand…& she had to go thru rabies shots.
Signs of Spring II - It’s time to ‘turn the coat closet around’ & move the heavy jackets to the back & the light ones to the front (because they’re all barely in there right now)
We need to gather every pointy stick wielding Sri Lankan Spider posthaste & send them to Big T. How dare he insult us like that & call us

[spoiler]Grown-ups!

We have never been so insulted in all our collective lives!!!

 at Spiderman’s last comment.

I’m going to try to sleep soon.

Yes, but I am up and caffeinated in it.

I’m an adult?:dubious: Does that mean I can’t put vodka in my Froot Loops any more?

“One of you” being a mumper no idea, one of you being a doper might be MsRobyn.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and well, caffienated and purtified, so I guess I am not so YAWNY right now. ‘Tis 72 very muggy and hyoooomid degrees out with a predicted high of 83 and rain/tstorms/apocalypse for the day. As warm as it is right now, I’m sure it will be stormy within a couple of hours. Matter of fact radar shows it’s on the way. Same storm(s) that hit around flytrap’s place Sunday headin’ this way. So, of course, I shall travel today.

Anywho, all ready cause OYKW and I are goin’ to IHOP for brekkie this mornin’. He has a gnawin’ and a cravin’ for some IHOP pancakes. Hey, he’s buyin’ so who am I to complain.

Spidey could have been worse. Iscream truck could have been playin’ It’s A Small World. Also, he called us grownups!?!?!? Them’s fightin’ words! Also, doggio you are a grownup because you can put vodka on your Froot Loops. [sup]TM[/sup]

StickyBuns glad you heard from RT and all is well.

Jim we anxiously await your saga.

Ok, I hear OYKW gettin’ dressed so I reckon we’ll be takin’ off soon.

Happy Tuesday Y’all!

Thank you, yes. I found the page.
Today is moving day. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!!!

Happy Toosday!

It’s a cloudy wet 48 degrees with a projected high of 54. Kind of chilly but I have my window open anyway.

Today is laundry day but no pizza day since pizza day was moved to yesterday.

Have an easy move** Rosie**

WayToGo Swampy

You aren’t crazy Sticky

I guess I should dive back into the pit. I started to write a few responses yesterday but sometimes once I get something off my chest I’m done talking/thinking about it. For a while anyway.

In FairyChatEstates, we call that “used meat” - well, not necessarily rib eye, but any meat marked down for quick sale. One bonus about being retired - I get to Food Lion early enough that I can often score some good used meat. Recently, I got several pounds of low fat ground beef that had been reduced. It now lives in the freezer.

A cold (46°), dreary, wet, icky day here with t-storms promised tonight and thru tomorrow. Definitely a work-inside day - I’ve decided the master bedroom needs a serious deep-cleaning. Last week, I knocked the phone behind my nightstand, and the dust and cat hair back there was, well, So I’m going to strip the bed, take down the curtains and wash them, dust, vacuum, and generally make the room look as if responsible adults sleep there. I may even wash the windows! That should kill a few hours.

My mom is starting to shop in earnest to replace her 2001 Sienna. I’ve sent her a bunch of links so she can research before I take her to CarMax to actually look at various vehicles. What she wants doesn’t exist - a minivan less than a year old with low mileage for under $20K. She was talking about a Chrysler Town & Country, and I managed not to laugh, but there ain’t no way she’s going to find her ideal. What kills me, the only reason she wants a van is that every once in a while, she takes other people with her. Most of the time, she’s by herself, running errands locally. Frankly, I think she needs to get a hatchback or a sedan where the back seats fold down. We shall see how this goes.

She’s actually one of those people for whom a lease makes sense. Her 14 y/o van has less than 110K miles on it. She might do better making payments than pulling a buttload or money out of the bank, especially at her age. Not a dig, but she’s 80, and she may not be driving for many more years. We shall see.

Leftover pizza has been ingested for breakfast. I need to shower and start taking apart the bedroom… after I read Dear Abby and check FB, of course. Who am I kidding - I’ll get to it when I get to it!

Good luck with your move, rosie!

Happy Tuesday!

I got paid! WHEEEEE!

My piggy was starting to look more like Kate Moss during a bout of gastrenteritis than a proper piggy, now it’s back to adequate sizes. I’ll even have enough to pay the electrician when he finally finishes :stuck_out_tongue: (in theory he should have finished a month ago; he only comes on weekends since this is his “pocket money” job and has missed several days without any kind of warning) and I saw an ad on the paper yesterday for a company which may be perfect to do the bathroom.

May her new upstairs neighbors be from the cast of Dancing with Elephants. Oh wait, they live above ME.

Mawnin all,

Up, Caffinating and I haz a blurf.

rosie, good luck with the move, I know that it is tough.

Cheers all, gotta go and make the loud.

Jim
