The Three not so blind Mice MMP

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis 71 Amurrkin out and N.O.S. with a predicted high of 93 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. Laundry and a couple of errands are the big items on the agenda today. Beastloaf, steamed cabbage, mac 'n cheese, and corn bread shall be supped upon. I made up the beastloaf last night. Go Me!

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, since I must go about the public I suppose I should purtify and don appropriate attire. Bother!

Happy Tuesday Y’all!

Happy Toosday!

It’s a chilly 57 degrees outside, and chilly inside because the windows are open.
Supposed to be cloudy with a high of 79 today.

I woke up too early, athough not 2:30 too early, 4:00 too early.
Definately a nap on the agenda for today, along with cleaning the dehumidifier filter, and clipping Ripple’s toenails.
I should do some laundry but I probably won’t.
I am very, very tired. These long hours are wearing on me, but at least irk has picked up and I am making some decent money again.

Baker - you are a braver woman than I.

Red - if Nelson ever catches and kills I’d give him a very nice treat. I’ve seen videos of rat terriers in action, they are quite impressive and love what they do.

It’s going to be a stormy, cool day here. I’m at work all day, but Romeo will have to deal with stir crazy kiddos. Romeo Jr. was in rare form yesterday when I got home; he was literally bouncing off the walls. He would run up to the wall, hands first, and push off the wall when he hit it. He’d fall on his butt laughing, then do it again. Ah, to be 2. But anyway, he ran into my husband’s antique floor radio upon which we had placed a beautiful hand-painted lamp that I got from my uncle when he passed away. Romeo Jr. proceeded to knock the lamp off the radio and that the glass broke into a ton of tiny pieces. Romeo Jr. got his first time out yesterday.

And yes, I know, when you have kids you can expect them to break things. Doesn’t mean it doesn’t upset me.

spidey I do not know the turnip lady. This was the first time I ever saw her. She knocked on my office door and asked me where in Georgia I am from and then handed me the can. Pretty weird.

Blurf. One clerk is out today so I am the clerk. Bah Humbug

A rainy morning with storms predicted on and off. Of course tomorrow will begin the heat wave so I will be very cranky by the weekend.

Wetone, that’s the forecast where I live, too. Off and on storms today, then hot and huuuu-mid for the foreseeable future. Are you in the Great Lakes area, too?

It’s hot*- but luckily not humid- here too and forecast to continue for the next week. I’m close to the coast which means we’re getting a bit of a breeze, so it’s not too bad. Plus I just went for a very quick dip in the sea, first time I’ve been swimming in the sea in the UK for years, I’ve always been living near muddy estuaries til now.

I’ve got a few days off, so may go again tomorrow. There’s loads of beaches in this area, so I want to try a few, see which are nicest and least full 'o heaving masses of tourists.

*UK standard. We’re all looking like boiled lobsters in shorts and bikinis, furriners may consider taking jackets off.

Up and adulting. Talked with someone who was almost the OW before the OW was the OW and she isn’t doing well; end stages cancer - may run and visit tomorrow. Caught up on everything except laundry which is say 50% accomplished. Other than that just cruising around.

Got a nap, got a shower, feel alive again.

Today is prettier than expected, the sun has been shining and there is a nice breeze.

I’m going to sit outside with the dog for a bit and then I have to get started in my very messy kitchen.
I have been a slacker lately.

I have decided that TWPTB don’t know their asses from a hand grenade. Today was supposed to be clear and hot. It is cloudy and 68. I suppose it could still make a break for it.

I have a cuddly dog, which is always nice. Happy Toesday.

A ready-to-eat cookie dough restaurant opened near my work. I checked it out over my lunch break, and it was a very tasty treat. I had snickerdoodle. Mmm…

I don’t have a cuddly dog.
In the past I had cuddle bums but not for years.

Mackie was cuddly when he was a puppy, but as he got older he didn’t like it so much.

Ripple has never been cuddly.
It’s just been in the past few months that he lets me pet him.
He’s a play baby, always up and into something, can’t sit still for too long.

For the record, **Butters **is super nice, dammit!

Supper will be ham steak, broccoli, and instant smashed (don’t judge me!!!)

Bedtime will be early because I’s tahred!!!

ruble, are we related? The bat solution sounds a whole lot like stuff we did up at my maternal grandparents’ farm. :stuck_out_tongue:

butters, the turnip green lady just sounds weird. I mean, did she only pass them out to native southerners?

We finally got thunderboomers here this afternoon. Tonight, I won’t have to water the herbs and flowers. While I’m off next week, I need to harvest some of the herbs. There’s enough basil out there for a batch of pesto and enough mint for juleps and more.

I laundered and made sup. We have consumed sup. Oh and I had some quality cee-mint pond time. For some reason it’s been a lot less hyooooooomid today. Errands were also completed. I even have a list of provisions to shop for at the Pubic and Harvey’s sto’ tomorrow. I feel so organized.

Canned turnip greens? I suppose they could be served with this. ::shudder::

The turnip green lady gave one to me and both my staff. One employee is a native Brit and gave me her can as she did not know what turnip greens are. Crazy it was.

Bless her heart! Then again if she had eaten whatever is in that can, she still wouldn’t know what turnip greens are.

Sahirrnee - I was thinking of you today, because I saw someone walking the same kind of dog you have.

Yesterday I got a book in the mail about how to write music. It’s very good so far. I ordered it from Amazon even though the author lives in the same city as me (he told me to order it from Amazon.)

emily, I also ordered a book from da Jungle that a high school friend wrote (it’s part of a whole series of children’s books he authored) as part of a lesson that I’ll be giving to the heathen children in August. He’s making royalties on it from the purchase, so no harm.

Is it for-real cookie dough and not just something that tastes like cookie dough?
Could get some to go and take it home and make cookies?
