The Three not so blind Mice MMP

Worked, came home, too a long nap. 34 hours of work in 72 will do that.

Gordie is semi cuddly. Alex Catt spoons me at night when I’m in bed.

No one give me royalties for my toons.:dubious::frowning:

This is why I have cats.

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to work.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 75 Amurrkin out and clear (well, dark) with a predicted high of 93 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. The big plan today is to procure provisions (sounds a lot fancier than buyin’ groceries) and then who knows. It’s a willy-nilly kind of day. Shrimpies ‘n grits shall be sup along with whatever vegetative matter I decide upon. That shall be a decision made whilst procurin’ provisions. I should iron shirts today. Maybe or maybe not.

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then I suppose I must purtify and don appropriate adult clothin’ for bein’ about the public. Why must I be made to suffer so!

Happy Hump Day Y’all!

**swampy **- since you’re retired, why do you iron shirts? Surely you don’t lounge around the cave in button-downs… Polo shirts are nice.

Very cloudy drive in - much rain promised for later. Guess it’s a good thing **FCD **mowed yesterday.

And that’s all I’ve got. Just another morning in paradise. Happy Wednesday!

We got at least 3 inches of rain yesterday. I was at the barn and the rain was so heavy and loud you couldn’t hear anything. Fortunately Miss A. is chill even during thunder. A crisis on the home front though. I’m down to TWO rolls of toilet paper. Stopping at Walgreens on the way to work to replenish.

Happy Camel Day, mumpers! I have been absent again for a while, just too much going on with work and life…I am looking forward to a bit of peace and quiet now that term has ended but nothing seems to have changed much. Now my mum has decided I ought to find some time to take her to visit the family graves down in the south east of the country so that means at least 4 days. Oh joy!

Happy Hump Day!

Happy Ripple Birthday!
He’s not a baby anymore.
I’ll send an email off to his breeder later, giving her an update and I want to ask about his eye before I take him to the vet for his checkup and shots.
I suppose it’s time to get him neutered. I don’t know what my problem is, I’ve never had an issue with getting dogs spayed and neutered in the past, but I keep putting it off with Ripple.

It’s a cloudy 68 degrees outside and supposed to rain later today.
We’re going to try to get some mulch down before the rain.

Other than that, nothing special going on today.

**sari **- you know it’s the right thing to do - get that puppy fixed!!

OK, Mumpers, quit distracting me - I’ve got work to do here. Dammit. :stuck_out_tongue:

I asked them and, yeah, you could actually make cookies with it. I mean, I wouldn’t, 'cause it’s kind of expensive per ounce. But the flour is heated so that it’s safe to eat raw and the eggs are pasteurized.

How come we say ‘fixed’; aren’t we really ‘breaking’ them? They can make little puppies or kitties until they’re ‘fixed’ & then they can’t.

If you waive eggs in front of your face they’re past your eyes. :stuck_out_tongue:

BLURF Irking. As usual.
blurf

I have a Garmin step counter (like a FitBit). I use it to record & analyze my activities, & sometimes share with a specific person, like a coach. There is a way you can use it socially, electing to put in a photo, bio, & share all of your activities (& times/pace, & location) publicly. I don’t do that.

However, they automatically put you into some random, weekly step contest w/ nine people you don’t know. You must upload by noon on Monday. Because I was away last weekend, I last synced on Thurs, meaning I was missing 3 of 7 days. I ‘came in’ 8th of 10 last week, with the last two being 13 & 0 steps, respectively, meaning they didn’t upload anything/didn’t use their device. Had I bothered to sync in time, I would have been second. Except I’m up against nine other random people, some of whom also don’t publicly share their information. So of these nine random people, I don’t know what they look like, what country/state they’re in, or anything else about them, like was this their best week ever, or were they sick/have surgery last week & still manage to get thousands of steps. A twenty-something professional athlete, whose job is to run, yeah, I expect him to have a lot more than me. An unemployed person w/ lots of time, yeah, I expect him to have a lot more than me. Someone training for an upcoming ultramarathon, yeah, I expect her to have a lot more than me.
Maybe if they showed where I was among all of their participants it might be some motivation. Based upon the number of units that they’ve sold, there have to be tens of thousands, in not hundreds of thousands of people in these various challenges. Yet I’m still in the top 10 when I don’t include 40+% of my activity. :smack:

I don’t need participation trophies; I’m not in Little League anymore.
(It’s more SMH than a mini-rant)

If eggs and/or cows stay out all night, they are pasturized. HA! I crack myself up.

It took Ursala Kitteh two years to sit on my lap. She always sleeps with me. Not on me or touching me, but close enough that I can pet her in the middle of the night. Ariel is a snuggly horse. She likes hugs and will often wrap her head and neck around me for cuddles. I kiss her on her ears…

Lunch time!

Just when I thought I was running out of work, I wasn’t. So that’s good. I’m trying to decide if I’ll take off next Thurs (and maybe Fri) after the 4th. Guess I need to know who else is taking off so I’ll know if there will be work. A couple of days off would be nice, I think, especially since the week after that, **FCD **will be gone to Lancaster, PA to a training class.

Kinda sounds like I’m talking myself into it, doesn’t it?

Spidey if there are only 10 participants in your weekly challenge, then you always have to placed within the 10, right? I don’t think that’s a participation trophy.

WetOne yay for snuggly horses!

BooFae welcome back! I’m trying to decide whether your mom’s request would be annoying were I in your shoes or whether it would make me feel connected to my past. I’ve landed on both! 4 days is a long time, but I like to connect with where my ancestors are buried. I like the sense of history.

I stayed up late last night - until about 5 am. I took some sudafed, and started reading, and the next thing I knew the sun was coming up.

Today I will chauffeur MiL to the doctor and run a few errands. Other than that I plan to hide. Big doings here in Orygun.

I am having a cucumber, red pepper and baby carrots dipped in blue cheese for lunch. I just have to take a break from sandwiches as I am sick of sandwiches for a while.
I have to irk Sat so I am taking off Firday since Moanday is the beginning of the month and there is too much to do to be off this coming Moanday.

Hubby and our visitors went out to Fort Jefferson which is a very old fort about 70 miles due west of Key West. It is an all day trip. I would have loved to go too but alas I must irk.

Back to grazing.

All ridgerunners are related one way or another.

We’re back to rain and storms for the next couple days so it looks like the car for work. Other than that not much happening around here and no big riots since we got home. I can live with that easily.

Irk has been particularly irksome today. Lots of freaking meetings. And I’m breaking in a new pair of shoes as I walk to and from these meetings. My dogs is a-barkin’.

But I’m taking Friday off while the nanny is on vacation this week (and Romeo is at home with the kiddos). We’re going to take them to the dentist on Friday. That should be interesting with the 2-year-old. He won’t sit still for Elmo; why would he sit still for some stranger sticking fingers in his mouth?

Since I’m taking Friday off, I just need to get through the last hour and a half of today and tomorrow. Ugh.

I went to the dentist with my latest bout of hypochondria today, and the dentist said the only thing I actually have is…

a perfect mouth.

It’s supposed to feel like 100 degrees Fahrenheit or more this weekend. Arrgh. And me with no air conditioner. I wonder what I’ll do that day. Maybe get a pet water bowl and put it outside for the neighbourhood pets, then fill the bathtub with cold water and spend the rest of the day in the bathtub. I dunno. It’ll be a holiday so not many (air-conditioned) places will be open. Arrgh.
