Romeo and the kids just surprised me at work today. They were running errands and while they were out, they picked up some Starbucks for me and brought it to me at work! It’s such a nice pick me up to see the kiddos and know my husband is thinking of me.
My newest grand-cousin-baby arrived Tuesday and in all the rush I forgot to mention it yesterday. He was named for my Dad – something that gave me a warm glow.
This seems to be Baby Season! Everyone is squeezin’ 'em out! 
Found out our offices are being recarpeted this weekend. Amazingly, we don’t have to remove any of our stuff unless we want to. I have nothing much of value, so I don’t care. I’ll probably put my one photo in a drawer, but that’s about all.
Baby Engineer has left on vacation - he won’t be back till July 9. So the office is mine MINE MINE!!!
Been a nothing happening day.
We put the AC on but I think we didn’t need to as it is quite breezy outside.
Tacos for dinner, I usually don’t eat any but tonight I will. I don’t feel like making something different for myself.
Home, tahred, and ready for the weekend, but I still have to get thru tomorrow. Dammit.
I met my daughter at BJ’s and I can see that I did right by not getting a membership all these years. Stuff that I normally get is cheaper at WalMart or Food Lion - sometimes by a lot, especially when there are sales.
Afterwards, I ran into Aldi because **FCD **wants me to make a meatloaf for meatloaf sammiches. I got 2 packs of ground beef and I’ll build and bake the loaves this weekend.
Just gotta get thru tomorrow…
We have supped and tstorms are movin’ in and around the area. The rain has cooled things down a bit outside. Hope it storms (but not real bad) all evenin’.

Spidey that was not me. It’s been way too hawt to run around on tarmac. I would have just ridden the train all around the Etlanner airport in my underwear. Probably nobody would notice. That airport is a strrrrrrrraaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnge place.

It rained all day again here in middle Tennessee. I’m down to one day or less (likely less, as we have all of the month end stuff wrapped up).Then it’s vacation time!
I despise thunderstorms. They scare me. Well, it’s not bad if I’m inside, but I’m scared of being outside in a thunderstorm, even more so since I learned a friend of mine was struck by lightning.
(He’s okay.)
Though even if I’m indoors, there’s still the startling light flashes, the sudden LOUD noises, and the threat of a power failure.
Went to practice, waked Gordie, got a beer at the Bistro, watched second practice, walked Gordie again. I squeezed a nap in there ,too. And I only have 2 days of work till a full day off. 
Does that usually happen when your kids scream that or something?:dubious:
August 8-12 Thursday and Sunday being free days. Unless you show up at the Pub Crawl on Wednesaday(Ask Ruble about that :D)
And there once was a drunken brawl at the Pittsburgh Convention hotel. At the wedding reception in the room next door.:rolleyes::dubious::D:smack:
Congrats, Ruble! I usually only get a warm glow from good whiskey ,or ionizing radiation.

Aug 8 is a Wed, Aug 9 is Thurs. On Thurs I’ll be at the brewpub anyway. After that, the weekend plans look to either be heading towards Midgetville or out Ruble’s way (Oil Creek for the Summer Biathlon again). Iffn it’s Midgetville, I will be up there past the rest of your stay here.
Iffin its Oil warn us and maybe we’ll come cheer you along and buy you dinner or something afterwards. Unless we’re talking the 11th in which case we’ll maybe cheer you on and then run off for a family reunion.
TGIF!!! And it looks like we’ve got a killer hot weekend ahead. Ugh. Huzzah for central air!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 70 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 93 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. On the plus side it is not quite as hyoooooooooomid as usual. No real big plans for the day. No where I need to go so I shan’t. We shall sup upon majik intartoobz pizza and sallit. Plans are afoot for the Fourth. I shall crank up the smoker next week for ribs and chikin. JDD scored some nummy Brunswick stew, so YAY! There’s a little community in large and in charge Webster County, Jawja that makes it a couple times a year. They do not advertise so news of it is word of mouth. Since that area is a part of his old stompin’ grounds, JDD got word, so when the stew was made last weekend he got several quarts, some of which will be consumed as part of the Fourth of July feast here at da cave. NUM!
Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then, onward into the day! Rah.

Predicted high today is 94 and 95 tomorrow. Blech. Tomorrow night I’m going to a graduation party and Sunday a cookout. In between I shall be at home in the a/c.

Just discovered that I signed up to irk at two different jobs, an hour’s drive apart, on the same day next week. It’s possible, but I need to be at #1, which is an hour’s drive from the house, at 8.30 in the morning, and I’ll finish #2 at anything up to 10pm. Oops.
Bets on job #3 calling me and asking if I can do an extra shift the same day?
Debating going swimming, but it involves effort and getting into a hot car with no working air con, then probably fighting for a parking space. Appealing, but not sure if worth the effort.

Can’t believe how dedicated I am today - I worked almost half an hour in to my lunch break! Go me!
My boss is watching Baby Engineer’s gecko while he’s on vacation, and he forgot to take him home last night. Did I mention he’s in a glass tank behind me? And that he scratches the flooring in his tank, which is a weird thing to hear when you’re along in your office.
Ziva has been shaved and **FCD **is picking her up. Poor kitteh - starved all night, kept in a crate, and then scalped. She’s probably going to hate me when I get home.
Sucks to be her, I guess…

Home today. Slept late due to staying up most of the night reading.
I went out to dinner with the visitors last night and they finally left this morning. Glad to be semi back to normal. I have to irk tomorrow and I expect it to be busy with the holiday weekend.
I thing I will just be a slug today.
I ordered some jeans from Macy’s and in the package was a man’s white dress shirt in hubby’s exact size. I did not order the shirt and according to the packing list was not charged for it. It’s a nice shirt with a price of $55. Bonus and yes I should return it but not gonna.
