The Three not so blind Mice MMP

The Sportster is all legal for another year and dinner/lunch has been had. Go me!

Guard your shoes. :dubious:

Happy Firday!

So far it is beautiful outside, not too hot.

It’s been a busy morning. I finally caught up with friend 2, whom I havent talked to in probably two weeks. I was getting worried about her, she is going through a rough time.
She was late on her route because of the shootings at the Annapolis paper. I called her at the time she is usually close to done and she was just getting started.
We were both kind of surprised it was the Annapolis paper that had the shootings and not the Sun paper office, all thing considered.
The Sun paper sucks.

I have laundry going.
The cat caught a mouse, the dog chased the cat to get the mouse, the mouse escaped, the cat caught it again and wanted to take it outside. I was on the phone with a client and couldn’t help my son who was holding onto the dog and needed me to open the door to let the cat out. Then when I got to the door, the dumbass cat let the mouse go and tried to catch it again. The mouse ran under the dishwasher squeeking his little head off, the cat ran out the door, and the dog went crazy trying to get the mouse from under the dishwasher.
Now the cat is outside, the mouse is quiet, and the dog is napping.
I’m hoping the damn thing doesn’t die under the dishwasher.

I think I’m going to make some devilled eggs today.

Home. Poor Ziva looks so weird with her lion cut. I’m going to try to get a good photo and post it on FB.

Supper for me is 'mater sammiches. **FCD **is having cereal. The kids and the baby have gone to a concert at St. Mary’s city - no idea when they’ll get home.

It’s hot. I’m tired. But the weekend is here and next week is a 2-workday week for me, so yay!

swampy, if it’s good Brunswick stew, they only need word of mouth.

Moooooom, are we taking bets on when Ziva comes out from under the bed?

Got out of irk around lunch, grocery shopped and took Nelson to the dog park.

Vacation’s on!

**Red **- she’s been out and about - she even came to me for skritches. With all her hair gone, we suddenly saw a saggy, poochy belly - makes me wonder if she’d had a litter before we adopted her, tho, theoretically, she was only 11 months when we got her. Dunno.

Ice cream has been ingested. I’m sharing my loveseat with 2 dogs and a cat. Earlier, it was 2 cats and a dog. Too many animals in this house!!!

There’s a big auction at an Amish farm in Loveville that **FCD **wants to check out. I doubt that we’ll buy anything, but it might be fun to look around. With luck, we can get back home before it gets too hot.

Bid on the power [del]tools[/del] anything. It should be in great condition.

Happy Saturday!

It’s still dark outside, 66 degrees, with a high of 91 predicted.

Nothing special going on today.

SSDD.

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Waiting in line for the Canes equipment sale. Working after hoxkey.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 75 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 90 and rain/tstorms/apocalypse this afternoon. We’re hopin’ to get in some quality cee-mint pool time, so maybe/maybe not. I shall also make a chikin pasta sallit to take to the church house tomorrow bein’ as ‘tis first Sunday brunch day. Also, I shall make a gallon each of sweet and unsweet tea. Even got tea steepin’ as I post. I cooked the chikin yestiddy and cubed it up. Go Me! Any need for sustenance to day shall be via forage. There’s all kinds of deli stuff for sammiches. Oh I also did end up adultin’ yestiddy. I even put on goin’ out in public clothes! I went over to the church house to take care of candles for both services tomorrow. Go Me Again!

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, onward into the day! Rah.

Happy Sattidy Y’all!

It’s very hot today but I’m near a window with a nice breeze, so that’s good.

Day one of vacation.

Up, breakfasted, caffeinating, sheets and towels in the wash, puppy crate sanitized and going out to the patio for the second cup of Joe after KP is done.

We actually breakfasted at home today  then drove down to Loveville to check out the auction. It was pretty much all crap-looking. Old, banged-up furniture, some with really bad repairs, rusted out old machinery and equipment, even one lot consisting of a metric assload of 5-gallon buckets. We walked around for maybe 20 minutes, then came home. Nothing there of interest to us.

I’ve got the first load in the washer and only 1 other for today. As soon as **FCD **is done with the modification to his design, I’ll start drafting. It’s our daughter’s anniversary, so Roxy is staying with her other grandmother and assorted cousins while her parents spend the day doing stuff - movies, dinner, whatever SIL had planned. I don’t expect to see them before dark.

I also trimmed back some potted plants and water the planters, since we’ve been rainless. While out there, I was eaten alive by skeeters or something - my legs itch!!

That’s my exciting morning.

Happy Saturday!

I am most annoyed.
I mailed a check last Firday to pay off a bill and my account still has not been credited.
If it is not paid off by the 5th then I have to pay the interest charge. The damn company won’t take credit card payments.
There is simply no reason they should not have gotten the check in a week.
I guess I will have to call them Moonday and see what other arrangements I can make to make sure it is paid off by the 5th.

My suspicious nature says they will hold the check until after the 5th, but that is probably just paranoia on my part.
I’m sure no company would ever be so devious.

Buying used jocks? :dubious:

If you can’t be an athlete, be an athletic supporter.

Timefera nap.

The vet assured me that having a cat spayed does not cause that.
The urban legend says otherwise.

I conked out for too long this afternoon. I’m having a cold coffee to try to wake me up.

Feeling a bit out of sorts. Probably due to the heat. I should go out and try to find somewhere air-conditioned, maybe, though I’m a bit scared there might be thunderstorms.

Almost time to bring in the laundry. We went to Red Robin for a sammich and since being back, I’ve been futzing with drawing for FCD. We just decided to quit. I don’t think too much more will be accomplished today.

Please send any thunderstorms our way Midget, it’s freakishly dry here. the countryside is all shrivelling up. We’re forecast for maaaybe some storms tomorrow, but I’m not holding my breath. I’m planning on doing my bit to encourage them by going out visiting gardens with a skool friend, wearing a summery dress and not bringing a coat or umbrella.

At least I’m close enough to the seaside to go swimming, which I did today. It’s pretty busy at the nice beaches though, and the season’s not even properly started.

Hot followed by more hot. So of course I’m going to build a fire and smoke meat tomorrow. Clearly I am indeed dumb enough to work for Da Jungle.
