The Three not so blind Mice MMP

Taz has been peeing all over the place because of all the cats living here. I just finished cleaning the sofa and several spots on the carpet. All the throw pillows and a couple of afghans are in the washer.

Damned cat…

But I’m having some tin roof sundae, so there’s that.

Ooooh, tin roof sundae. I loved those when Imwas a kid. It was my mom’s favorite. She insisted on using Spanish peanuts. Ole!

I’ll try to send storms there. Over here, there haven’t been storms yet, but there’s a strong possibility.

I was just outside to go to the store. It feels like the inside of a hot car out there!

We do have some beaches here, but I don’t have a bathing suit at the moment. Plus they’re probably crowded during this heat wave.

Howdy Y’all! The weather cooperated, so we had some quality cee-mint pond time today. ‘Twas nice just bein’ the two of us out there. We consumed sammiches for sup. There are tstorms in the area so hopefully we’ll get some rain out of it all.

The mashup of which is Cat on a hot tin roof sundae.

I got exasperated at my mom today. I got to her house a little after 9:30 AM to write some checks for her, take care of the cat and so on.

Poor mom, she’d just got up. I was afraid she’d had another migraine, but no, she’d had a bad night after falling in the basement again. Mom had scraped her arm badly and covered it up herself with a bandage, but it still needed care.

Why didn’t she call me or one of my sisters? That’s what we are for! Just because it was midnight doesn’t mean squat, I could have taken her to the ER. I did end up taking her to an ExpressCare place. It wasn’t a severe injury, just ugly looking, and leaving it several hours could have enabled an infection.

I insisted that she call us if it ever happens again. For that matter, she was wearing a Life Alert pendant, why didn’t she use that? She’s paying for it after all.

I love my mom more than anyone, I just feel bad she was hurting and didn’t call.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis 74 Amurrkin out and cloudy (dark actually), with a predicted high of 86 and rain/tstorms/apocalypse for the day. We shall see. The big item on the agenda is deheathenization followed by first Sunday brunch. It’s all willy-nilly after that, though nappage may ensue.

{{{CupCakes}}} Havin’ gone through that with my own mother I can empathize and sympathize. Glad your mom’s injuries were not super serious.

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then at some point purtification for deheathenization must commence.

Happy Sunday Y’all!

Good morning, folks! I hope everyone has a very nice Sunday.

The couch cushions that we left out overnight are still damp, but with the heat we’re promised today, they’ll be dry in no time. I did take a whiff of both, and the urine smell seems to be gone. Hope so. But just in case, last night, I ordered some stuff that was rated highly on a “get rid of cat urine odor” website, so here’s hoping.

Today, I shall spend a few hours drafting for FCD. I’m limited as to what I can do because of the machine configuration - I don’t know what things were company-specific and what things are hidden somewhere in the program where I can’t find them. But I can get the drawings to a state where they’ll only require some administrative-type input to be in the correct format. So that’ll be my day.

Happy Sunday!

Happy Sunday!

Going to be another hot day although it’s pretty nice outside now.

I went to bed early last night so got a pretty good night’s sleep other than being woken around 2am because some asshole neighbor started setting off fireworks. Not only were they loud enough to wake me, but they had Ripple running from window to window and door to door and back again while barking his fool head off.
He had ignored the ones earlier in the evening, so I don’t know why the ones in the middle of the night set him off. Maybe because I was asleep and he felt like I needed to wake up to check it out.

I’ve got some laundry going and some more to do.
I think I will make a few meals so I don’t have to cook for the next few days.
Today is put the trash out day so I have to clean the fridge.

So nothing special SSDD.

Got up in the middle of the night for a drink of water. I was too tired to go back upstairs so I fell asleep on the couch…

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. I’m off today. It’s ungodly hot and humid(Still better than 20 and icy).

baker, I hope your mom doesn’t have any long lasting effects from her fall. We get on to my dad for some of the same reasons. While I admire his independent spirit, I still worry about him.

Up, caffeinating and fixing to do KP. After that, I’m going out to the patio for my second cup of iced coffee. Then, I’ll start on my vacay to do list.

I missed my step goal by 8 lousy steps yesterday. I came home & was working w/ the pics I took, sitting at the 'puter. When I looked up it was just a few mins after midnight. Iffn I had gotten up to go to the loo I woulda had it. :smack:

Got up pre-sunrise for a photo op (meh; sky color wasn’t that great) then we ran early. Even early it was wicked out there (going up to 99° later!). Showered, dressed, & about to go out again. Incredibles 2 this afternoon & maybe die after that (unless I can get outta the flight).

: giggles hysterically :
Apparently I’d be worth at least $1million dollars.

Thanks, we got a few rolls of thunder at about 7:30am, and a morning of rain

Coulda done with a bit more rain, as there’s no more in sight on the forecast, but that should have taken the edge off things.

Day out with skool friend was nice, went to a very nice vegetarian cafe, where they grow most of the ingredients on site, then went to a garden with a private beach. Sadly neither of us thought to bring swimming stuff, and it wasn’t quite private enough for skinny dipping…

Howdy Y’all! Deheathenization, brunch, and nappage have been accomplished. The only other thing on the to do list is haul the biiiiiiiiiiiiiiig trash can all the way down to the road for pickup tomorrow. ‘Tis rainin’ out and if’n it keeps up, that chore may wait until early tomorrow mornin’. I am delicate so I must avoid bein’ rained upon.

We have a thunderstorm, and the temperature fell from 97 to 76.
Thunder frightened one of the cats (perhaps both, I’ve not seen the other since the rain began) but the little dog is not trembling for a change.

Nope, second cat ran in and was violently ill on the living room floor.

Whew - busy day. I did about 5 hours of drafting, then I built a meatloaf, which is baking right now. Two day work week ahead - I think I can handle it.

Time to feed the canines.
