The truly great threads in SDMB history

Would that be Marcel Marceau?

Morbo’s post on page four is a killer.

I’d love to try my own version of this, but it’d be hard to top that thread.

Yes! Thank you!
Maybe not “truly great,” but I laughed. Again.

Mod praise! W00t!

Cheers,it was driving me round the bend trying to think of his name.

Thanks! I had forgotten that one and I posted in it! A great laugh going through it again.

I did a “thread titles only” keyword search on “very vaguely creepy” and got less than a page of hits going back to 2000. None of them had a great number of posts, and I just glaced at the oldest one.

If you have a favorite (or more) in that group, or one without those keywords in the title, would you mind posting a link to it/them here?

Here’s Very vaguely creepy, started by Homer.

The link on the sequel might not be what you meant. But if it is, that’s cool, too.

The Ron Thread.

In the “short and sweet” category:

a monkey that i wish for.

He may have been thinking of this thread.

I’ll bet you’re right, unless we were supposed to see the other as a bit of humor. Homer was before my time, and it’s good to see some evidence of his legacy at SDMB.

Did Handy (another legend I never met) leave us any pearls?

WTF?

LMAO!

I thought the Oompa-Loompas vs Munchkins thread was great!

There was more than one thread about Oompa-Loompas vs Munchkins.

That was a HILARIOUS thread!

To toot my own horn a bit, I almost didn’t start the thread a person stole our cement mixer. I’m glad I did; the end results were hilarious.

Oops… obviously I copy and pasted from the wrong link from the wrong tab…
Here’s the right link to Very Vaguely Creepy, The Sequel.
