The dryer is out of the way, and its old cord is just fine. No cracks, no wear, nothing worrisome about it. I’m not going to risk the safety of my house for $20, but I’m also not going to spend money that doesn’t need to be spent.
**FCD **had a hankering for egg drop soup, so I made a run to the not-too-terrible Chinese place. After we ate, I cleared out the party leftovers that have been sitting in the fridge for 2 weeks, and I sliced up some strawberries. Kitchen trash has been taken out and the dishwasher is running. Higgs has had a bath and we just put her flea stuff on her.
The sun is shining, which is weird because when I was in Leonardtown, I was caught in a downpour. Weather here is weird…
Nappage has been achieved and watermelon has been ingested. Life is good. Still no rain though. A band I thought was comin’ through here went south of us. :dubious: The weather PTB once again failed us.
Well I am bummed the storm is not coming here even though we will probably get plenty of rain as all the storms are east of the center. I wanted tomorrow off. I think I won the battle tween sick or not sick. I feel fine today. Lazy though but that’s normal for a Sunday.
Hubs is napping (which he never does) and supper will be easy. I’m going grill up some chicken thighs on the George Forman and have pre made taters and gravy and maybe a salad. The part for the oven has been here a week but he just has not go around to fixing it yet.
Tweaking the medicine seems to have worked some for hubs. Now he is wearing a heart monitor and back mid July to see what to do if anything.
I am supposed to be on a plane heading to training in WA today and am a little sad I didn’t go but just did not feel I should that far away from home given the ticker troubles. I am still going to GA for five days on the 16th.
Hugs to all that need them. I guess Rosie is starting us off tomorrow.

We had a good downpour, so the lawn got mowed but the whacking didn’t. Neither did any sawing and I was hoping all that mess could go out tonight.
It’s been a slow, lazy day here.
I baked brownies. We both had a hankering for chocolate cake, but I didn’t have cake mix. However, I had brownie mix. So, yum!
My Favorite Year is coming on TCM. LOVE that movie!!! Time to watch!
I could make brownies, but I’m not. That would require actual irk and that ain’t gonna happen tonight. I did however accomplish the monumental task of haulin’ the biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig trash can all the way down to the road. Go Me!

Raindrops have started falling. Brownies are yummy. Weekend is winding down.
Of course! That is, if rosie is any kind of hostess. A proper waffle bar will also include both bacon and sausage as well. These things must be done right after all!

Soccer games got cancelled today, although the rain didn’t show up until about 3:30pm, just in time to ruin satellite reception for the best part of The Avengers (where Hulk punches out the flying monster). So did my grocery shopping, then after rain and a late lunch, wnet out and did the shopping for the things I forgot (and that was Stouffer’s Mac-n-Cheese frozen dinners and Cherry Kool-Aid, which may say more about my diet than necessary..). Otherwise just reading and posting.
