This Could Be The MMP

I did some errands and am in the midst of laundry. Sheets have been washed and dried. I put a set of already washed sheets in the dryer to fluff 'em up and made the bed with those. Towels are in the dryer and undies are in the washer.

Zarf for those who need to know more.

BTW, zarf is one of my favorite words.

From link:

“The zarf was often made from metal, with silver, gold, copper, and brass being the most common materials used. Others were also made of woods such as coconut, ebony or other hardwoods, or of ivory, bone, horn, or tortoiseshell. Today, zarfs are typically made out of cardboard.”

Civilization in general has become less classy. :dubious:

The thingy that holds a glass of hot Russian tea. Is that a zarf?

No, that is a Russian Tea Thingy.

Well, been a bit active-like; did some banking, got some presents for my 4-5 year old girls soccer team (Saturday is the last game), let Golden Corral over-feed me, and mailed off a contribution to Alabama Public TV. So I’ve decided to top it off by refereeing another 12-U soccer game tonight.

And for the record, the only tea I drink is (1) Southern Sweet tea on ice and (2) Arabian hot tea (chai) in very tiny mugs. YMMV.

So that’s what a zarf is. :stuck_out_tongue:

Worked this morning, went to lunch, then to the dentist to have a tooth filled. It’s been 20 years since I’ve had just a filling and things have changed for the better since.

The floors have been swept and mopped. Nelson and I went to the dog park for about 45 minutes. He played with a weenie dog and a small poodle mix. He’s now napping.

We have supped and it was good. Also very easy to make. Tomorrow is geezer day at the Pubic Sto’ and medium size shrimpies are on sale. I shall have some steamed in Cajun spices whilst I shop. Tomorrow night we feast on shrimp 'n grits and asparagus. Again another very nummy yet easy to make meal.

Butters and I are happy to have edjukated y’all on zarfs.

It has finally stopped raining. Now the temps are going tp plummet into the 40s. I discovered that my cable package includes the Olympic channel so I have been bingeing on ice skating, skiing, and curling highlights of previous games.

We shall now retire unto the boudoir to watch teevee until sleepy time. We’s tahrd! Nitey Nite Y’all!

WetOne we’re supposed to have low temps in the high 40s in the mornin’.

Yard workies went down today, It was windy and cool. I feel all wind blown and dry. Strange feeling. Cooking cowboy-stew, Mr.Wrekkers fave. I made corn bread too, I am so productive of late! Back to my gym floor tomarrow, I will nearly be done after shading and doing line work. They will be able to varnish and seal the floors next week. I will have a lazy weekend, so I am preparing to hibernate. Have a good evening all!

It’s short-sleeve weather here & >100° in LA; this is NOT World Series weather. & the two teams I really don’t care about. Oh well.

It’s gone from baseball to football weather in the last week in middle Tennessee.

I had planned to make tacos with the remains of yesterday’s pork tenderloin, but I neglected to buy cilantro. “Chicken breasts, thinly sliced” that I bought in case, and sandwiches with the Wendy’s honey mustard sauce recipe I found on the web.

It will be freezing by the weekend, I need to bring plants in.

Dodgers! Woo-hoo! ::Happy dance::

Welp, Canes lost.:frowning:

WetOne, curling and Olympic hockey?

Boom is one of my favorite words. And sounds. And plans for the weekend. Let’s face it — boom good.

Second would be “humf*ck” which is several levels past a “humbug”.

I’ll ship you some cold. We are expecting a hard freeze tomorrow night which will be the final nail in the coffin (it already has a headstone) that is my garden.

Pepper pup decided that I did not need a garden as much as she needed to pull all those interesting green things out of the ground. Fortunately she was darn cute at the time, and I didn’t have much planted. Next year we’ll have to work on that. I want some tomatoes and strawberries at least!

(Did I mention the Dodgers? Dodgers!!!)

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 48 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 68 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. I shall procure comestibles as ‘tis geezer day at the Pubic Sto’. I shall go early to get this done as I have an appointment at the doc’s at eleven this mornin’. Hopefully I’ll be outta there by noon. This does usually take too long.

OK I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then I shall purtify so as to look good at the Pubic Sto’ and Doc’s.

Happy Hump Day Y’all!

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to work.
