This Could Be The MMP

Heya. In a bit of a rush, but thought I’d check out the MMP. Hope you all have a good day.

Calling out today. I did make it through Monday despite lack of sleep, but cannot do that a second time in a three-day stretch. Caffeine can only do so much.

In other news, I think my uninvited visitor from early August tried to come back. Doorbell rang at 11:40pm. By the time I reached the door, no one present, but the screen to a window near the door (leads to the second bedroom we use for storage) had been removed. Same basic pattern as last time. Must at least TRY to stay awake long enough to have a chat with building management about something that passes for security.

I’ve been to the Pubic Sto’ for provisions. Everything is put away and the shrimpies have been peeled. Go Me! 'Tis right chilly out. BRRRRRR! This is the first cool day we’ve had this Fall!

Nettie  Here’s hopin’ building management can do sump’n about this.

BTW does anybody know when Momma-zita will be returning, cause she is nice (dammit). Seems oddly quiet w/o her!! I am up and about. Built a fire in the woodstove this cool morn. Took longer than it should have, I think my wood is still too fresh. We will eat left over for din-din tonite. Lil’wrekker called, as usual, she has overspent her allowance, so I gotta go deposit some money in her acct. before heading to school to paint on my mascot. I dreamed of the stupid thing last night. It was raining (inside the gym, what!@??!) and the mascot was melting away, ack! Crazy! Dog,jr. and Dog,sr. Were barking out on the deck early this morning, I opened the French doors to check, I smelled skunk, Ack!, got them in quickly, and put Mr.Wrekker out there to see if it was close, he didn’t see anything, but could smell it. So dogs are sequestered for awhile. They are on the bench looking out the window with sad faces. Poor puppers! Happy day all!

Finally stopped raining and the sun is kinda out. Twas 38 degrees while driving to irk. Frost advisory. I’m in the minority. I welcome the cold. But by the end of January I’m sick of winter.

50F out this morning, t’was good sleeping weather so i did until 7:30am. Guy is here to pressure-wash the house prior to getting it painted, but it would have been kinda nice if somebody had called to tell me he was coming today.

wreck, think the cruise was 8 days, so she should be back by the weekend, I think. But definitely a group tackle-hug is required for when she returns.

Nettie, that is a bit worrisome. Hope management takes it seriously.

ruble, if you like the sound of boom, you must love this clip: No Boom Today...Boom Tomorrow - YouTube

Up and at 'em. That’s me. Chivvying kids.

I think one of my meds is giving me constant indigestion. I’ve only changed a few recently, so not much homework to do on it. I’m hating it.

Quiet or noisy everything we do here can be judged as “oddly”.

Cold, wet and generally yucky. Pulled in the second AC unit and got it in the garage, put some other leftover summer things into the appropriate storage locations, and made some leftover bacon from the Old Wench’s dinner disappear. I didn’t want to risk it spoiling. May have some smoked pork leftover from Sunday for my dinner. I like to think of it as my personal efforts at reunification.

Howdy Y’all! I’ve been to the doc, took care of a couple errands since they were in the area where doc’s office is located, and I got coiffed. Now to chillax until time to fix vittles.

I have jury duty. Did I fail to mention that? That is the most exciting thing that has happened since IRMA. It is for the week of the 13th of November. Like most places, I must call the night prior to see if my presence is required and if not must call each day for a week at which time that does not qualify as Jury duty unless I actually have to report.

Our director was here so I had to hurry and lock my office door lest ** Lucky Louie **be discovered at irk. We squeaked by again. Even though he has a master key I managed to occupy him in the hallway. I had a webinar and read the dates wrong so I got to sit through one that did not concern me. Now I get to do it all over again tomorrow. FML
I have been meaning to tell WetOne that the people in her state are some of the nicest people I have ever encountered anywhere on Earth. I was flown there as a hurricane refugee and the people of IL could not have been nicer.

Dammit! AlloyRat, now I gotta watch all the Babylon 5 videos!

Still trying to figger out a workable fix for my stationary bike. I had one of those stands for my road bike once to supposedly turn it into an exercise bike. It broke. Not going there again.

I am so worried! Did she keep her flares dry? Are there coasters in the life raft?

We had an early sup cause we were hungry and what I made did not take long to make. Shrimp 'n grits, steamed asparagus, and bizkits. YUM! Tomorrow I shall do the pot roast in a Dutch oven on top of the stove. I don’t have anything to take me away from da cave so I can let it slow simmer for a few hours whilst I futz about da cave.

Butters when I traveled around the country for irk, I really liked goin’ to Illinois and Iowa. The folks in both states were always so nice and a lot of fun to be around even on irk related stuff. Not to say that folks in other states were not nice, just those two states had particularly nice and fun folk to be around.

You say that like it is a bad thing…

Heater took awhile to decide to warm up the house, but it seems to be working OK now. I’m taking the medals and gifts I got my 4-5 year old soccer team tonight since the weather is supposed to be stormy on Saturday so our last game might be cancelled.

Blurf!

Irked, came home, walked the dog, got stopped by TMI neighbor, had supper and now am getting ready for cleanup and chillage.

I made tacos from the pork loin I grilled Monday. Mrs. Plant (v.3.0) made pico de gallo.

Poor Mom, adrift in a lifeboat without tacos or coasters. :frowning:

Worked, came home, took a nap. Making Chipolte BBQ chicken for dinner

HeyMidgethopeyouhaveagooday.

 'd talk to the police ,too.

I love Babylon 5. It’s very philosophical.

Ruble, “leftover bacon”? :dubious:

Sisko grew a beard first!

Got mine today for the 20th of November. Ours is one day/one trial. Every other time I’ve been called its been one day and sometimes not even that much. I know way too many lawyers and judges to ever get selected in this county. I did come close though when they were looking to ship a jury to another county once but that’s a long story.

Its the Old Wench’s fault; I wasn’t even home at the time. I swear sometimes I don’t know why I married her. Especially since I lived with her the first 22 years and knew what I was getting into.
