Welcome home Mom We missed you. I don’t feel good. My cheek hurts which may signal a sinus infection which sucks. I’ve been invited to my friend’s for Sunday dinner. Short ribs, etc. And I volunteered to bring a homemade pee-CON pie for dessert. I better feel o.k.
Worked, walked Gordie ,napped. Watching some football.![]()
Welcome back. Did you bring us coasters?
{{{Butters}}}} Have a beer or 7.![]()
Cut a leg warmer to length, for the “Flashdog” look.![]()
It’s been rainin’ and the temp is droppin’. May even be around 40 in the mornin’. Even though I am a Summer baby, I’m ready for some cooler weather. I want to make soups and stews and other cold weather foodstuffs.
{{{Butters and WetOne}}} feel better soonest!
We shall retire unto the boudoir to watch teevee until sleepy time.
Nitey Nite Y’all!
doggio, I’m thinking a crew sok.
I recently had to get some sweaters for my son’s Chi-hoo-ah-hoo-ah. He loves them. Spins in circles when he sees them (dog, not boy). Very cute. Anyhoo, I got them at Petco, and they weren’t much. They have sizes down to Yorkie.
Feel better, Butters and WetOne.
We have binge watched the last season and the beginning of this season of Stranger Things. I have bailed out of the remaining episode or so. I just can’t handle any more TV right now. My head hurts and I am done.
There is a tropical storm watch about 10 miles from me. So far not much rain though. I am not complaining though as there are loads of people here with leaky roofs or is it rooves? Anyhow I am not one of them as our roof held up well. After Hurricane Wilma in ‘05 we replaced our roof with a metal roof and hubs put it on with overkill on the screws. Even screwing it into exposed beams inside the house. If our roof ever goes the entire house will go.
I am pretty much over hurricane season and there is still over a month left. SMH.
Over this headache too.
Cancer sucks. Found out my friend has Perioteneal Adenocarcenoma which is very rare. Probably advanced as surgery is not an option but chemo is.
I am sorry about your friend, Butters. I just did some quick reading on that type of cancer. It sounds like there are treatment options. I hope she has a good treatment team to work with.
I did; that way my shoes didn’t leave any marks on the coffee table when I propped my feet up. Don’t worry about the glasses leaving rings on the table, I didn’t use any; just swigged right from the container. ![]()
Home, extra-austed. I’ve decided the soles on my hiking shoes aren’t firm enough as I could feel just about every small rock we walked over; got buzzed by a plane & some buzzards at the two lookout points on this afternoon’s hike. Hope to make it thru the night w/o cramping up, which has almost happened a few times already. I’d eat a banana, but that would require going to the 24-hr grocery sto first. ![]()
Sorry spidy, pineapple has potassium too. Cottage cheese sometimes. Or eat pickles. I am up too late, why oh why does this happen to me? I cannot get my sleep/wake cycle normalized. I am gonna talk to my doc about this.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 42 Amurrkin out, clear and windy, with a predicted high of 59 for the day and N.O.S. Of course, by Tuesday the predicted high will be 77 which is still not too bad. We shall go to the nine a.m. service and be Luteruns this mornin’. It’s Reformation Sunday and this one is big bein’ as it commemorates the 500th anniversary of Martin Luther nailin’ his 95 Thesis to the door of Castle Church in Wittenberg, Germany. Tuesday is actual Reformation Day but it’s celebrated the Sunday closest to October 31st each year. We even have red shirts to wear. There will be a reception in the Parish hall afterwards. We shall then have a <snerk> Quickie! <snerk> N.O.L.
Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then at some point both of us need to purtify for deheathenization Luterun style.
Happy Sunday Y’all!
Dammit - my post got et.
I’m up, it’s raining, and I’m about to post my cruise diary in a new thread. Not gonna try to remember what else I posted.
Happy Sunday!
Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off today. Doing a beer tasting before the game. It’s foggy out, we had a big rain last night.
Blurf. Our storm was a big nothing. I did get woke hearing the wind a couple times but nothing like what I would have thought. I slept like crap. Why can’t i sleep anymore?
We have breakfasted and run a few errands - I’m good for breakfasts and lunches at work this week. The rest of my day shall be dedicated to slothage. And afghaning. And maybe Netflixing. And not thinking about going back to work tomorrow.
I am up, coffee is almost ready, and Pepper wants somebody to play with her. She is trying so hard to get her buddy to join her, but he’s just staring at her. Guess grown up dogs need some time to wake up in the morning too.
I walked Gordie, and make a cheesesteak omelet wit for brunch.
Sunny, Gordie isn’t a morning person, either.
It’s cold outside!
Up, caffeinating, breakfasted, have chili in the crockpot for supper, corn muffins made and towels folded. SIL, the dogs and I are going on a ramble on the backroads east of here in a while.
My water heater crapped out. I had hot water for dishes after supper last night, but this morning, nada. I heated water on teh stove for cooking cleanup and took a very brisk shower. I left a message on the emergency maintenance line, but haven’t received a response yet. If it’s not fixed by tomorrow, I will have to light a fire under some tails.
The Joy of Renting, the Horrors of being a Land Lord.
:dubious:
When I replaced the water heater at the rent house, James threw it at me. I tried not to bleed on the check when I wrote it.
Try lighting a fire under the hot water heater instead. ![]()
Legs were quite sore when I got up but felt better once I was up & moving a bit.
12 of us are going to dinner & a [del]show[/del] prison tonight. I expect it to be a terrorable time.  I think I’ll know everyone, but as of now, I only know of three names.
Right now there’s a really bad accident on the way I want to go (5 ambuli & Jaws of Life); 45 minutes later 2 of the ambuli are still on scene, which means those patients aren’t out of the car(s) yet. Our ambulance didn’t make it there because they went out a few minutes earlier on a FDGB (non-trauma fall, ie. Fall Do, Go Boom) I guess I need to find an alternate route to go tonight to stay away from all of that.
