Hey guys, it looks like aggravation was the theme of the day. Dang about the screaming kids and loss of yard peace. Dang about S/Os who don’t think ahead and dang about stubborn S/O’s who won’t make a doctor appoint when they know they should.
I loved the pupper pics, I do like dogs even thought I think they are way too much work. I also think that sleeping with that many bodies on the same bed would be at least one too many. Heck, there are times when just one cat is too many.
So…as to weed and the munchies? Most of us long time users stopped getting the munchies a long time ago. Our tolerance levels are far too high (snert) for us to notice the slight blood sugar drop weed can sometimes cause.
We do still tend to do a lot of this, though.
It’s a shame you folks don’t drink coffee, there will be a glut of the good stuff very soon.
Here in 'merica, we will be paying out the nose for Folgers if we are lucky enough to find it. A country full of caffeine deprived office workers will not be pretty.
I never really liked Starbucks, their coffee was overpriced and tasted burnt. Hubs likes their cold brew, but now that we live in a world without the mermaid, he will go to Dunkin’ when he wants some.
We both gave up buying coffee on a daily basis back when it was three bucks for a large and always get shocked at the lines and prices when we are traveling and really need a hit of caffeine and cream.
We do like to support small independent coffee shops, that’s where you get the best taste in a cup.
Now to brag about hubs. While we were gone, some kitty knocked my stained glass lamp off the little table and it landed upside down. The glass survived but the brass part around the top where everything was soldered to was bent and the shade was crooked.
Hubs spent most of his working years (after his medical discharge from the USMC) doing auto body repair. He knows metal. I handed him the lampshade and asked if he could fix it (while reminding myself that he knows what he’s doing and that it was already broken) and he looked at it for a while and then got the hammer out of the cabinet.
I couldn’t stand it, I know he knows what he’s doing but I couldn’t watch* so I walked away and sat in front of my comp fully intending to look at cat pics. But I did look. He used the rubber covered handle to reshape the soft brass while just hitting the hammer head gently with the palm of his hand. Then he got a screwdriver and carefully put the folds back in. He didn’t even scratch the patina.
It has been getting hot in the afternoon and I was really wishing I had a car close to hand so I could remove my shirt and pants and become a less lumpy and sweaty handmaid. I will be so happy when my eyes get fixed.
*we almost broke up when I asked him to help me adjust the bonnet on my '74 Triumph Spitfire and he body slammed it. First he opened it and closed it and looked at it from both sides, then body slammed it, but still. That car was my baby, how dare he!!! Never had another issue with the bonnet after, btw.
