About three o’clock this morning I waked with the noise of the rayne, having never in my life heard a more violent shower; and then the catt was lockt in the chamber, and kept a great mewing, and leapt upon the bed, which made me I could not sleep a great while.

Howdy Y’all! Home from deheathenization with the Luteruns. In a bit we shall feast upon last night’s leftovers for N.O.L. Then, who knows. ‘Tis cloudy out so I’m hopin’ for rain soon which may lead to nappage cause rain and nappage go together.

Carry on.

Happy Sunday!

Just to let you know how brave and dedicated an amusement park fan I am, we’re going to Kennywood today to ride the trolly in their parade. Doesn’t sound all that brave? Well, Kennywood is on the opposite side of Da Burgh from us and today is both a home Stillers game and a home Pirates game. Living near the stadiums that means our traffic will SUCK BIG TIME!!! If you’ve nev er lived near a major sports arena, you will just have to trust me on that one.

(The trolly has a license plate that belonged to my late BIL. It took an act of the legislature to transfer it to the park all those years ago but it was worth it.)

It’s a training program, so you do get the people who need clue-by-fours to grow up and get a decent work attitude. Just how it is. This does not mean he’ll get away with it, since our supervisor won’t let him. She’s a sweetie if you’re behaving yourself, but you do NOT want to get out of line in her department. Knowing her, after she hears about the “fun”, one arrogant young man will be on the receiving end of said clue-by-four.

Enjoy. and

Go Packers!

Well, this weekend has sucked big time. We shouldn’t have bothered going to my sister’s party - **FCD **came up after I did, and left a couple of hours later because he felt so bad. I wanted to leave too, but my car was blocked in, I had too much crap to load up, and my mom was going to give me some plants, so I had to hang around. Plus I was really tired.

**FCD **called me when he got home - our fridge died - big time dead. So he bought a few bags of ice and loaded them in to try to save our food and we both shopped on line for a replacement. Interestingly, we both came up with the same replacement- not that we had a lot of choice. It was one of the few that was available at Lowe’s for immediate pickup. So when I came home, we discussed it, then I placed the order, 10 minutes later they called and said if we’d call about 15 minutes before arriving, they’d have it waiting. We went to breakfast, then to fetch our new fridge. Just a few minutes ago, we finished dragging the dead on out to the garage and loading what we could into the new one. There’s less freezer space, so several item are in the fridge for dinners the next couple of days. It’s a smaller fridge and it’s white, while all the other appliances are bisque, but I don’t care - it’s in, it’s working, and we’re done. Whew!

I’ll have a nice purple nose shortly - when we tipped the big fridge, it bonked my nose. At least it didn’t break my specs.

Yeah, yeah, happy Sunday. :stuck_out_tongue:

MOOOOOOM sorry about the fridge. ICK! My kitchen fridge started dyin’ a couple of years ago and had to be replaced. I hate shoppin’ for major appliances! Anywho glad the new one is in without major injury.

'Tis rainy and a little stormy out. Nice lazy Sunday afternoon weather.

FCM, how old was fridge? My appliances all came with the house when I bought it new in 1997, so they are all getting near the 20-year mark. Is that good or bad?

My thanks for all the {{{ }}} from everyone.

Sitting here wearing…well, every last piece of underwear is in the washer, so I’ll leave it to your imagination (or not…probably better not)

Seanette, I used to be the easy-going, let things run off my back type–found that as I have gotten older and (one hopes) wiser, that I am a little less tolerant of those who want to tell me my job. Would love to be your supervisor, I have several…interesting…comments I would love to use on the snot.

Hope it doesn’t blow-back as he will obviously blame you (since it couldn’t possibly be his fault). Let us know what his reaction is.

And off to the dryer.

You’re right, leaving it to our imagination might require lots of brain bleech!

I’d tell my story, but might use it to start the new MMP

Moses and Aaron on a stick!

We put all new appliances in our kitchen when we remodeled in Oct/Nov 2004. We replaced the microwave a couple of months ago. Now the fridge. So, how much longer for the stove and dishwasher?!?!? All were originally GE. The new fridge is a Whirlpool.

I think I’m going to recline and crochet for a while. I’s tahred…

Will you get a quote on repairing the old refrigerator?

**flytrap **- I posted an ad for whoever wants it as a freebie. Otherwise, it’s going to the dump on Firday. I’ve been wanted to replace it anyway - so I wouldn’t bother repairing it.
