This Saturday, the 19th, we’ll be in the Globe Pub in Maryleborne Road (nearest tube is Baker Street), just down the road from Madam Tussauds, from 12pm. We’ll probably head down to the Serial Killer Exhibition at about 1pm, or shortly after, then back to the Globe afterwards.
If anyone wants to turn up for beers, you are more than welcome.
We should be in town most of the day, so if you fancy turning up later you are more then welcome to phone me.
(send an email to Kat22_uk@hotmail.com and I’ll give you my mobile).
Rar!
Working on the money thing for Brumdope, and thanks to some kind offers by people, you might just see me there!
i would Tir, but unfortunately its my best mates birthday, so whilst i will in fact be in town from about 12, whilst you guys are getting blatted in baker street i will be getting blatted somewhere around leicester square…
if circumstances change though you’ll definitely be hearing from me (be warned!)
Fair points. Hmmm… maybe you should stick with the kormas As one waiter said to my dad, in Hindi, so as not to offend the other patrons in the restaurant “Sir, we put the kormas there for those weak English types who can’t handle real food”
actually i tend to migrate towards the Persian dishes - they’re gorgeous.
i’m generally a wuss when it comes to the really spicy stuff though.
GariGirl on the other hand refuses to eat anything other than Lamb Tikka Massala - which is a complete crime. I’m not allowed to order anymore because i always say things like:
Garius: Can we have 6 poppadums and 2 mango chutneys to kick off with please.
Waiter: And after?
Garius: Can we get two plain naans, a mushroom pilau, a Chicken Dansak for me and a Lamb Casserole for the lady. Cheers.
