US Capitol under siege

I can access the page without a Twitter account (though I didn’t watch more than the first second or two of the video)

It occurs to me that some of us law-abiding veterans might be a touch miffed if that traitor receives military honors at her funeral.

I’m also wondering why she left the Air Force at 14 years service, just 6 shy of retirement (unless she was on a different type of retirement than the old 20 years for half pay system I get).

My money’s on CFSG naming an AF base after her in the next week or so.

:gag:

I don’t have a Twitter account and I can view the video just fine.

And even if you did require an account, the fact is that sometimes the only place to find a particular video or comment is on social media, so why not just make a decision for yourself about whether you want to view the thing, rather than whining about it?

Yeesh.

From Macleans.ca
(How Canadians view US events)

“From the president himself: “You have to show strength and you have to be strong…Fight much harder,” he said.

From the president’s son: “Stand up and fight!” he said. “Actually fight,” he clarified. “We’re coming for you”—this, to his father’s rivals.

And from the president’s lawyer: “Let’s have trial by combat!”

That same afternoon, a minority group of legislators from the president’s party prepared to object to the election, an unprecedented betrayal of American voters that the objecting lawmakers defended as consistent with democracy on the grounds that they could get away with it—heartened by its presence, one lawmaker offered a fist pump of solidarity to a growing mob on the lawn.

By dinnertime, that mob had smashed through the entrance and marched Confederate flags through the halls, a piece of furniture had been pushed up against the doors of the House floor as a make-shift barricade, legislators had been hidden under chairs or evacuated, loved ones had been called and bid farewell, “MURDER THE MEDIA” had been scrawled across an exit, and one woman had been shot dead; by midnight, several of the objecting lawmakers had with a few notable exceptions decided they did not object to free and fair elections after all and, despite the continued best efforts of the lawmaker who did not wish to take back his earlier fist pump, the election was certified.

Meanwhile, articles of impeachment had been prepared, the president’s twitter account had been locked, the Secretary of Defense had called in the National Guard without the president’s participation, some cabinet members and staff had reportedly debated the removal of the president on the grounds of his mental unfitness for office, and the president had watched TV and told the violent seditionists that they were special and he loved them.”

The FBI is looking for help identifying suspects:

And so is DC police (with photos):

Even American Airlines is willing to help. They said they are cooperating with officials to identify those leaving Washington. And they have stopped serving alcohol on flights from DC.

Fascist Antifa? He puts the moron in oxymoron.

At this point, I’m not sure if these fuckwoggles actually believe the bullshit they spout, or actually expect other people to.

It’s so contrary to objective reality, you’d think it’d be impossible for someone who hadn’t be involuntarily institutionalized as a danger to themselves and others to believe it. But they say it with such conviction.

I have more immediate concerns than what the next tyrant will think. The next tyrant isn’t going to come around for at least the next 4 years, and the current tyrant was actually somewhat worse off for this having happened.
The danger is from the 47% of the Republican party who thought that these people had the right idea, and the unknown subset of those who think it just didn’t go far enough and are wondering how far they can push the boundary before they suffer any consequences.

I missed it. How did the police officer die?

The dead cop has been retracted.

[nm, post unposted?]

Is the officer Tanya Roberts?

This report says that the officer currently on life support is male, not named.

What a first day on the job!

Ya done been whooshed.

I was being funny. Tanya Roberts was dead, then she wasn’t. Now she is.

Reminds me of the FAA administrator whose first day on the job was…9/11. It was up to him to make the decision to ground all flights.

He’s not dead, he’s pining? I hope anyone injured gets better.
