Ok so i’m drunk and hanging out in the #straightdope chat room and Omni has the gut to bring up the topic does size matter. I’m not acting inappropriate, and answering someones question and Vogue kicks me. I go back in and Omni kicks me. I’m actually a pretty nice guy when you know me. I have said i’m sorry I was a jerk troll a while back. I am not a person you want to anger and people rarely anger me (with the exception of bad drivers). But your actions did tick me off (and maybe vice versa, I don’t know). Don’t expect me to post to any of your topics anytime soon (or attend a gathering where you’re present). Got it!

As one who has spent more than a few hours drunk on #straightdope myself, I feel it only appropriate that I try and resolve this.
Silo, after making a somewhat unfortunate debut as Michael Masterson (how’s THAT for “Understatement of the Year” :D), has shown us that he is a good guy, with true added value to this board. Just my opinion, but I’m sure a lot of people will agree.
So, what is it that he said? Anyone is free to mail it to me if it is too vulgar to share here, but regarding the question at hand I’d say he just pulled another of his “Big Bad Booty Daddy” stunts. If this is all, I’d say: “Lighten the fuck up already!”, but since I don’t know, I’ll wait untill someone fills me in.
Silo, don’t take it so personally, You’re alright, most of the time. We’re all jerks once in a while.
Am I the only one who wandered in here wondering what the connection between Vogue magazine and Omni magazine was, and why Silo would be flaming them?
Silo, I think it’s fair to warn you that the chats are logged; meaning that anyone wishing to obtain a transcript of a certain date and time may do so. You may want to consider this before you act all innocent and put out and claim to have been acting appropriately. I think the fact that both Omni and I actually agreed on something for once is pretty compelling evidence that you were out of line.
So, vogue, we’re in the pit. Care to post the transcript?
I don’t log the chats myself, but I have a feeling Omni might. It wasn’t any one specific thing said, just an accumulation of nonsense over several hours. If Omni wishes to hammer together a “Silo’s greatest hits” posting, I wouldn’t have a problem with that.
Maybe someone could simply send Silo a chat log? Perhaps, when sober, he might reconsider his perception of what happened?
Just a thought.

My experience with #straightdope is that people actually ENJOYED my slurred typing, and encouraged me to have one more for the road 
But I’d be glad to read the chat log and form an opinion. Granted, Omni and Vogue don’t seem like the kind of people to kick a person for no reason.

Yes, possibly at times I may seem inappropriate, but am more or less misunderstood or don’t word something quite right–not intensional. So who’s perfect. BTW I don’t have a problem with anyone else in chat–at least I don’t think I do.
Well, I do have it logged, and normally I’d post all of it, but the personal context of the chat for the many parties involved makes it totally inappropriate.
The situation was as follows. Silo was acting obnoxious and being a self-centered prick as usual, no problem with that on general principles. In chat most of us do that in jest anyways, and at first the comments he made were irrelavent and ignored by most so no harm done.
The problem arose when chat hit a lull and I decided we must talk sex. The discussion started, we began polling the female and male opinions on several topics, generally great fun. Silo instead of contributing began making crude comments in response to some chatters, and was taking every opportunity to remind everyone of his Mastersonesque posts. This got quite annoying and VV decided to kick him. And since the conversation was being stiffled by his retorts and juvinile attitude, and everyone opened up and was generally pleased once he was gone, I decided to kick him again as soon as he re-entered several minutes later.
While he wasn’t directly abusive and VV kicked him more because of a long period of his more obnoxious misogynistic behavior than any one specific attack, I think it displays that Micheal Masterson is clearly alive and well in this immature individual. I’m not sure how he’s tried to mend his ways, but rest assued that his past attitudes weren’t entirely manufactured.
In short, all would be well if Silo’d just grow the fuck up!

If you don’t have the English skills to word something so that everyone can understand it, I strongly suggest you get used to people taking umbrage at what you say. Please bear in mind, I don’t believe “I have a big dick” is open to much misinterpretation or misunderstanding.
Pay attention; I have not been the first person to boot you out and surely won’t be the last. Everyone else has you on “Ignore” most of the time. My beef is that you spurt out Ralph Wiggum-esque non-sequiturs regardless of what any of the other people in the room are discussing. The reason it’s referred to as “Chat” is because people are supposed to discuss things and interact with each other, not blurt out random semi-coherent statments Tourette-style. Your social skills seem better suited for the board, and barely so at that.
