Voluntary MMP - the noob part 2

Odd thing: the tree frogs peeping are louder than the wind, and that’s saying something.

Lost power for a while, but it’s back.

10:30pm update: rainy but not so much windy. the worst of Irene is supposed to be on top of us around daybreak - I’ll (somehow) let y’all know.

I had a little power outage at work ,but that’s all Irnen did here. More work tomorrow, then Booster Club bowling. I hope someone else shows up, I had playing with my balls alone.

Obligtry drunbken poste…heehee!

Happy weelnd@

Watching chfik flicks on my ownsoem with vodka (took me 3 attempts to spell vodka!)

Be safe those with Irene implications!

0400: I got up to answer the call of nature. It’s breezy outside and raining a bit, but nuthin like it was before we went to bed around 10 PM.

I checked the TWC radar, and the eye is now north of Ocean City, MD, offshore from Philly. We’ll get the rebound rain band in a couple of hours, but it’s mostly over for us now.

Don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out, Irene.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’ YAWN 'Tis 66 degrees Amurrkin out with a predicted high of a hunnert. 66 is kinda coolish for around heah right now so it feels nice out.

BBBobbio glad you and MOOOOOOM made it through Irene. Rosie, Soapy and the rest of y’all where Irene is this mornin’ stay safe! Please check in when you can.

Now I must seek more caffiene. I’m not especially hongry but at some point some brekkie type substance must be consumed. Think maybe I’ll make some bacon, aigs and grits. I’m all nice like that. Maybe I’ll purtify for deheathenization first.

Happy Sunday Y’all!

Up, caffeinated, off to irk.

The hood is a mess, but we did fine. Long day ahead helping the neighbors.

I’m glad Irene wasn’t as bad as it could have been.

We had a very pleasant day yesterday. Went out to breakfast with our friends, and then one of them came back here with us and colored and highlighted my hair for me. It turned out very nicely.

My daughter and her sweetie came down too and hung out with us. We loaded our bikes up and drove down to a trail in the Orting valley and rode for a few miles and turned around and rode back. We came back and I broiled up some ribeyes and my daughter made her homemade mac and cheese. We watched a movie together and then they went home.

It’s been awhile since I’ve been on my bike and my cheeks are protesting today.

We’re not going to do much but a few things around the house today, I think.

All deheatenated and **N.O.L.**ed. I decided not to go funeralize. Just didn’t want to get back out. I’m acutally takin’ a break from cave defilthyfyin’. Both bathrooms are clean and I’m about to tackle the kitchen.

Fun Times!

Off work, and at the bowling alley. Futher updates will be posted as warrented

Kitchen cleaned, bedrooms, dinin’ room and livin’ room dusted. I also vacuumed off the back porch and garage. I needed a break after that. It’s hawt out! In a bit I need to vacuum the inside of da cave and mop. I’m a bear in clean mode!

Glad to see everyone in the hurricane made it out okay. Irish Brother and I checked the Pirateville paper’s website last night to see how Pirateville made out (Irene hung out there all. day. long.) It looks like a some more of the beautiful old trees around campus came down. :frowning: I tried to call my ex-neighbors, but no one answered, so I’m assuming they skipped town or went to stay with his mother or something. I really want to find out if a tree fell on The House I Don’t Want.

We had extreme outer edge clouds yesterday morning and hurricane-like winds here last night. Here. All the way across the state. That was a **big **storm!

The defilthyfyin’o of da cave is complete! I’s tahrd.

That is all.

Hi all - The power never went out, but I lost cable/net/phone for about 12 hours. Still super windy here. lots of downed branches/leaves/assorted debris. Had a nice long cell phone convo with a friend similarly “stranded” then slept until normalcy resumed.

Well only two people showed up, but we had fun anyways. Gonna start dinner soon-beef tips and rice.

glad nothing went wrong, rosie.

mmmmmmmm, how’s the head today?

doggio apparently this is National Beef Tips and Rice For DinDin Day. You are the third person I know of who’s havin’ BT&R!

Glad you’re ok Rosie.

Hey**, FCM **hasn’t checked in today. Hope all is well. I hope their boat weathered the storm.

I had red beans and rice with chorizo, does that count?
