Up, caffeinated, off to irk. Tonight is the last home hockey game of the season.
my peach tree has blossomed. I shall have peaches this year. I might even pick a few off the tree.
I’ve been a bad mumper. I’m all caught up reading now.
Tuesday I stayed home sick and slept a lot. Yesterday I came back to work, but I still felt lousy, and I still do today. Something very very bad is going on in my tummy. Ick.
Anyway, I’m here at work, even if I’m not too productive.
Good news yesterday! Mr Rebo got a call back from the job he wants to see if he was still interested! Of course he said yes, and they are now doing a background check, so we expect a call to tell him to go get his drug screening. Hooray!!!
And more good news - my new fridge will be delivered on Saturday. It is the most awesomest (is too a word!) fridge I’ve ever seen! Obligatory pic. We got it much cheaper than the MSRP listed!
Ok - back to trying to work. Rosie’s sig to all!
I fell and scraped my knee like a ten year old on my way to work. I also twisted my ankle and it still hurts. Damn.
Starving. Absolutely ravenous. Must have dinner.
I’ll join you in the corner…
Congrats on Mr. Rebo’s new job and on the new fridge!
That’s what you get for wearing miniskirts
Oooooh, yeah…! I know that feeling all too well…
And then you’ll show us your peaches, right?
Schoooool’s… out. For the summer!
Schoooool’s… out. Forever!!!
(Quietly hums to myself, procrastinating before class starts.)
Were you wearing a miniskirt at the time? :dubious:
Let’s explore this further…
I don’t think that’s really pertinent to the question of the twisted ankle, TBH… but yeah, I suggest that **Haze **and I go on a trek through a treacherous mountainside together, with her in a miniskirt, in order to test the implcations
I’ll meet you in Edinburgh. In a kilt.
BTW, have you seen this thread? should be of professional interest to you!
Very cool! We just lectured on oxygen requirements for microbes this morning!
Dolores–that’s the fridge I WANT! Grr… (make that green with envy)
I am up and in my wrist splint. left thumb really hurting today. Bah.
I don’t own a mini-skirt–which is a good thing, since I am 47. Hope the knee is better, soon.
I’ve been a bad Mumper, too. Mr. Lissar has a terrible cold and has felt like death for the past couple of days, so it’s been kind of crazy here.
Hugs, boos, and yays as appropriate.
And I should make Death Chicken. We haven’t had it in ages.
Oh, lord. Gnat and Mr. Lissar are at the doctor’s for Gnat’s checkup right now, and the doctor thinks he might be getting chicken pox.
Our doctor says that “when it rains” doesn’t apply at our house- it’s always raining here. Oh, well. We’ve all had chicken pox here except the kids, and Thomas will be getting my antibodies. Still, yeesh.
That is the one I want too!!! We’re remodeling the kitchen starting Monday and later this year I want that fridge.
If I get the job I’m applying for, cross fingers, I’ll get it sooner.
It rained!
YAY!
We just had a gully-washer that lasted all of maybe two minutes, but that was enough that our vehicles are back to their proper colors, and there were rivers of green running down the street.
Of course, the rain will probably sprout more pollen.
Me, three! I want that fridge, three!
I’m tired, bored and grumpy about the fact that somehow last night, two tightly folded up $50 bills must’ve fallen out my wallet somewhere…
My mom has a fridge like that and it is way neato-torpedo! When ours dies, that’s the style I’ll be looking at.
We got our running around and all the pre-hospital stuff taken care of today. Then we installed 2 fans in the aquarium hood to help dissipate the heat from the lights. It’s all put back together, and the fans are very quiet, for all the air they’re moving. The idea is to keep the fish from becoming part of fish soup - the tank got up to almost 84°F - it’s supposed to be 79-80°F. Anyway, with the a/c on and the fan moving air over the lights, maybe we can maintain the tank at the correct temp.
We’re supposed to get rain tonight, so my car is going to sit on the driveway. It’s pollen-covered and I just don’t feel like washing it. So here’s hoping Mother Nature helps me out.
The only chores that remain today are picking up FCD’s car from its oil change, cooking some rotissed chickie and assorted sides, gathering my yarn bits into a tote with a crochet hook and my little scissors, and, um, I think that’s it for me. Got to get to be early tonight - we’ve got to get to the hospital while it’s still dark out. Not that I expect to be able to sleep anyway.
Daughter’s friend leaves on Sat. Which is great. She’s, um, odd… No accounting for tastes, I guess.
