Lil’ Smokies, veggie spring rolls, a variety of chips, a couple of California rolls, Pirate Water Wicked Teas, and a couple of barrel-aged Imperial Stouts.
And you?
On the menu today: hotdogs, queso, chili, variety of chips, triple chocolate brownies, and a variety of beers, from low end Tecate to Chimay and Belgian trippels.
11:30pm start for me so wont be eating much.
Quite likely I will go to bed at some point and watch the rest on DAZN with a breakfast of porridge.
I think “porridge” has got to be a first when it comes to this topic!
Pizza and nachos. I’ll have a beer (a Yuengling) at some point.
If I could afford it:
Pizza, garlic parm wings, and Arizona iced tea.
I have cheeze bread. I don’t know if it is a regonal thing but it is a split open loaf of french bread topped with a mixture of soft cheeses, mayo, butter, seasoning and pearl shrimp. Toasted. The description does not do it justice.
Also have Tillamook marionberry icecream and Kentucky Fried chicken, I expect to be asleep by halftime.
Last night’s leftovers from a nice Italian dinner: salad, parm + peppered pork chops, roast potatoes, chicken Milanese, broccolini, and a ridiculously large hunk of coconut layer cake for dessert.
And Champagne.
Other snacks might be popcorn or berries or nuts, but I doubt we’ll be interested in much of that stuff.
I have strawberries, chocolate covered gummy bears, and cupcakes.
I’m smoking some babybacks and already finished grilling some jerk chicken legs.
Chili and brownies.
I don’t do Super Bowls, but I helped my daughter assemble some hot artichoke-mayo-parmesan dip for the party she’s going to.
Nachos.
And honestly, between the late(ish) start, and my usual early bedtime, we had nachos for dinner before kickoff, and won’t snack much during. And I’ll go to bed at half time.
Son-of-a-wrek is fryin’ catfish. All the fixings.
There’s chips and dips. Kids are allover that.
My Mid-dau made some brownies for dessert.
Of course the blender is making frozen goodies that only adults can have. Beer in the cooler on the deck.
I just want it over with.. actually!
Bubble gum from the machine next to the one that sells super balls. ![]()
Actually we’re in a dive bar in a hick town an hour away from home watching the game and eating the best smash burgers and fresh cut onion rings we’ve ever had.
For us it is bacon-wrapped smokies, pepperoni pizza, and chicken wings.
I didn’t really plan for anything. Turns out that my snacks are a box of red wine and a box of Cheez-Its.
I’m good.
I can’t even watch the game, because I’m too cheap to subscribe to a service that’s licensed to show it. That’s ok; I’m not that invested.
Remember when it was free for everyone to watch?
Still have snax, though: Charcuterie (salami, sliced ham, a variety of cheeses and crackers, olives and a sliced apple, just 'coz), a small bag of Cheetos (a rare treat, I haven’t opened them and I may not), a couple of homemade banana oatmeal chocolate chip pecan cinnamon cookies and a cup of tea. Won’t need dinner, may have a beer later if the Seahawks win. Oh, who am I kidding? Even if they don’t.
It is, in fact, available free over-the-air on NBC, but that doesn’t help if you don’t have a digital antenna, or a nearby NBC affiliate.
I don’t, I’m afraid.
I could have messed with my Hulu subscription to take advantage of a 3-day freebie for live tee vee channels and seen it that way, but I couldn’t be bothered. I’m following the score online and will watch the highlights after.
The food is good, anyway!
