What do you drink, what does it say about you?

while I can say that I am not an alcoholic, nor do I drink very often, but it doesn’t bother me when I do drink ;). I will take just about anything I have had, except for Absolute. YUCK! That stuff smells like rubbing alcohol, and you could mix a fl oz of that stuff with a gallon of any other drink, orange juice, for example, and it still tastes like shit

You forgot this one:

If you’re on the lawn of the Breakers, during intermission at the Newport Music Festival, sip a gin and tonic.

Ahhhh!

Hot summer day drink: Sangria
Beer: an ale, like Kilkenny’s or Smithwick’s
Wine: Red- Cabernet Sauvignon, White- Chardonnay
Apertif: Dubonnet Gold
Digestif: Calvados
Going out, getting drunk: Gin and tonic

I don’t know what exactly it says about me. Maybe that I’m picky. Which is true.

A properly made margarita is a joy forever. Herradura if possible, but I’ll take a decent Sauza. Of course, shouting out the picky little instructions to a bartender in a crowded club. Tequila, Cointreau and lime juice, on the rocks, no salt. Of course, most places keep trying to dump that nasty margarita sours mix into it.

And for the places where guzzling down margaritas just isn’t appropriate…

Almonds for everyone, but make mine a vodka martini with Belvedere. Or vodka tonics with the aforementioned Belvedere or Grey Goose, but I’ll take Tanqueray Sterling or Ketel One if I can’t find the other two.

I’m such a girl when it comes to drinks

At the top of the list of drinks:

peach marguaritas
traditional marguaritas (lime)
strawberry daquaris
white russians
mudslides
tequila sunrises
fuzzy navels
sweet tarts
anything sweet and nifty colored
smirnoff ice
strawberry or peach flavored white wines
the occassional beer–yuengling lager/corona with a lime

Yup, girl drinks all the way!

That goes for me, too. There are two beers I mostly drink, Budweiser and Rolling Rock. As for hard liquor, there is only one for me: Southern Comfort. I love that stuff.

Let’s see…

Beer: Guiness, but I have to be in the mood for it. Harp Lager, Belhaven Scottish Ale, Tsing Tao or, if I have to drink American, Shiner Bock.

Scotch: Glenlivet, 18 years old, neat. Ice just waters it down and ruins the taste.

Other than that, Margaritas are nice.

More than anything else, I drink beer, and since I don’t drink any great quantity, I tend to buy what I consider good quality suds. I’m particularly partial to porters and ales. Black Butte Porter, MacTarnahan’s Cream Porter, etc.

For mixed drinks, I just stick to Margaritas and the occasional Bloody Mary.

Hard likker; I likes good whiskey, I’ve got a bottle of Bushmill’s Single Malt Irish in the cabinet right now.

I don’t know much about wine, but since there are over 40 wineries in Yamhill county, and more seemingly every day, I’ve been trying their wares. So far I’ve found out that I like Reislings and Meullers a lot.

I don’t know if this says anything about me except that ‘I likes what I likes’.
Or maybe that I like the taste of alcohols more than the buzz.

Beer: Miller Genuine Draft, Corona w/ lime or Point (a great beer from Steven’s Point,WI)
Mixed Drinks: Raspberry Stoli Lemonade,Absolut Screwdrivers,Absolut Sea Breezes and Absolut/pink grapefruit juice.
Shots: Lemon Drops,Goldschlager,Yukon Jack,Rumpleminze,Cuervo Gold and Jack Daniels.
Wine/Champagne: White Zinfindel and Cristal if someone’s buying but I’ll settle for the cheap stuff as long as it’s dry.

What does this say about me…I love vodka and spend WAY too much time in bars. It’s only Friday nights on Girls Night Out I swear. Although we did go last night so that’s why I’m posting tonight hehehe-with a Point longneck right next to me.
