For some reason, the quote that would have provided context for this answer got eaten. I was responding to CalMeacham’s post about the literal translation of names. The Dark Warrior bit is a literal translation of my first name; the of God bit is one translation of my last name, although it isn’t clear that it is the right one - there are a number of possible derivations.
My name origins-based name would be something like Gathering Place, which isn’t representative of me at all.
So I will just grab one that does represent me: Jogs with Dogs ������������������������
My dad used to call me ‘Little screaming hawk’.
I think this had something to do with my reluctance to get up for school in the mornings, and his difficulties in trying to encourage me.
