Did you mean Pinot Gris, romaine salad, Pinot Gris, dark chocolate, Pinot Gris, lox omelette, Pinot Gris and more dark chocolate? That would be my order.
Yes! How did you know?
My latest secret for ceviche is minced fennel in the marinade. Worked great here.
Tis a beautiful day here, so’s I’m gonna fire up the grill for burgers and asparagus.
Fennel in ceviche sounds good.
Home made pizza and a few GnTs
Baked chicken in a white wine lemon scallion sauce, couscous and ice water. Later for dessert, two Nut Goodies with a glass of cold milk.
This sounds good! Along with the lox and cream cheese omelet.
Today was just grazing - we went to a road race for the day and I took salami, fruit, cheese and crackers to that for lunch. And then we stopped for ice cream on the way home. That meant dinner was a handful of peanuts and some wine.
Yes, it was good. I reheated and ate the leftover sauce as a soup. Yum.
Last night: Soft tacos with taco-seasoned hamburger, shredded cheddar cheese, shredded lettuce, tomato sauce and taco sauce; ice water. Later, pumpkin petit-fours and a big glass of cold milk.
Friday we got brisket, ribs, regular and jalapeno sausage, jalapeno mac n’ cheese, and beans from Lockhart’s. It was scrumptious, and Saturday was leftovers.
Tonight we’re having pork chops marinated in ponzu sauce and grilled, along with shitakes and enoki grilled with ponzu butter in a foil pouch.
Uzu marinade, not ponzu sauce.
Last night was SWMBO’s 29th birthday (again) so I made her the dinner she requested:
Eggs Benedict (with hollandaise drenched steamed asparagus for me) with ice water and a Pinot Noir.
Dessert was lavender and vanilla infused white chocolate panna cotta based off of Micheal Symon’s recipe, garnished with fresh raspberries. We then went out to our friend’s acreage and sat around the fire to celebrate their anniversaries and my buddies birthday with a keto dark chocolate cheesecake with raspberries and a glass or two of tempranillo. Two desserts, multiple wines and fireflies glittering in the night. A great night!
Flatbread pizzas tonight - I made a simple tomato sauce and parmesan cheese w/pepperoni version for the hub, who is not adventurous when it comes to pizza, while I did a Greek one for myself - alfredo sauce with chopped basil, oregano and chervil mixed in, topped with spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, chopped kalamata olives, bacon bits, feta cheese and marinated anchovies. NOM.
I had a Spring mix salad with no-Calorie, no-carbohydrate sun-dried tomato dressing, and a Trader Joe’s chicken parmesan with extra mozzarella. Mrs. L.A. had store-bought quiche and chicken parm. She had white wine, and I had red.
Salmon fillets and peppers on the grill. A side of fennel, carrots, and apples. Twilight dining on the porch.
Pancakes and bacon, and a glass of OJ.
Leftovers. Yesterday was Lady SCAdian’s birthday, and she chose Thai. I had the chicken satay and the pineapple duck, and there was so much chicken that I couldn’t come close to finishing the duck.
(Really glad she chose that restaurant, as apparently it closed for good last night.)
Burger with cheddar cheese, bacon, lettuce and ketchup; french fries with ketchup; two Corona beers and a cup of ice water. After, cinnamon pastry bites with a sour cream dipping sauce.
Parents in Law made it up from Argentina to stay with us for a few months, so I suspect cow, lots and lots of cow .
Tonight is bacon cheeseburgers (jalapeno havarti for me, Monterey Jack for SWMBO) on brioche buns, red potato salad and carrot sticks. Dessert will be Passion Flakies or Hazelnut chocolates. Cab Sauv in a box for bevvies.
I wouldn’t be able to limit myself to one or the other…
