What's For Dinner Tonight: Episode 2021 – A New Hope

We had a huge pot of vegetable soup. Very healthy, so I balanced that out by drinking Caucasians.

Saturday I made a huge batch of stir-fried noodles, with pork, mushrooms, and cabbage.

Last night I made Char Siu Chinese BBQ pork. We had that with leftover noodles. Oh. My. God. So good!

Tonight my husband has to do a colonoscopy prep, poor thing. I’ll be eating leftovers again.

Mac and cheese, two slices of ham with Grey Poupon mustard, and a glass of ice water. Later, some chocolate-covered cherries.

Chicken korma with garlic naan and basmati rice.

Last night was the very last of Thanksgiving: Creamy Turkey and Orzo Soup with Spinach. Here’s a pic because I don’t want to be known as the only-fancy-looking-food-pic-girl. Also, allayalls need to post more pics!

Spaghetti bolognese for dinner tonight; right now for lunch I have some basmati rice on the stove and will make some chicken jalfrezi from leftover cooked chicken breast from last night.

We had some grilled chicken in the fridge, pulled out some home made pesto from the freezer, chicken pesto with spaghetti .
Malbec

I just got back from from travel earlier today, so I pulled something out of the freezer. Stuffed shells, tomato pesto bread with basil and shredded cheese, and an apple and carrot ‘salad.’ Need to go grocery shopping tomorrow.

Had unpleasant dental work today. Mashed potatoes and merlot.

Tossed salad with Italian dressing and a small pizza with pepperoni and pineapple at my favorite pizzeria from my college years, which was great, and an off-label IPA, which wasn’t. Later, dark chocolate and raspberry cordials and a glass of milk.

Last night we had leftover vegetable soup with fresh baked biscuits. To drink, she had Cabernet Sauvignon while I enjoyed a growler of a Farmhouse Ale that a friend brewed. It was so delicious I finished the entire growler. I messaged my friend this morning praising the beer and he mentioned that it came out at 9.5 %ABV.

A Chinese dinner out with my dear niece: spicy wonton soup, chow mein, General Tso’s chicken and white rice, with some mint tea and an ice water. Much later, Skittles!

Half a home-made pepperoni/mushroom/black olive pizza. Washed down by a not-that-bad-at-all malbec.

Scallops Florentine, garlic bread and some clementines.

Spaghetti with meat sauce, bread and butter. Small Dunkin coffee.

Pasteles! I have a connection.

Sorry about the dental unpleasantness, but as a lover of all things potato – mashed, roasted, fried, whatever – and a lover of a good red wine, that sounds great! You could’ve also tried Stouffer’s Salisbury steak and mashed – it’s basically a burger patty with gravy and a side of mashed potatoes. For extra vitamins in a quick meal, I’ll scoop the mashed potatoes to one side and add a miniature tossed Caesar salad.

Tossed salad with a raspberry vinaigrette and blue cheese crumbles, beef tenderloin with baby herbed potatoes and asparagus spears, and a glass of ice water. For afters, vanilla cake with raspberry filling and buttercream frosting, and a cup of coffee.

Sounds good!

Tonight was chicken in mole sauce with tortillas, black beans, and rice.

Polish pork meatballs in a dill cream sauce, served with spaetzle and steamed broccoli.
