After lunch AND evening snack. I made a 8”x8” pan all for my lonesome, so I gotta make sure it gets et.
I would have to be in the PNW to eat them, and someone has to cook them for me,without the heads, with cornmeal. Thems good eating if you know what to do with them. Which I don’t.
My shower feels like that if I’ve just cleaned the lime scale from the shower head. If it ever feels like Water of Mars, I’d be terrified.
On my second fizzy margarita, wherein I add some fizzy water to fill up a highball glass. Since it’s from our wedding registry, it’s considered vintage, as it is more than 25 years old. Replacements.com wants $55 to buy one. Guess I’d better not break it.
Actually, I sort of wish I had fewer pieces, because then they wouldn’t take up so much space.
Oh well. The people who gave us the presents are/were good friends, so I can think of them when using wedding presents for every day use. Miss seeing my friends. At least the weather is good.
Howdy all. Set a new record by sleeping in until 10:16am and have been trying to catch up ever since. Ate dinner at Red Robin (Yum!) and am heading out now to catch a soccer game, so all y’all take care.
dicey, your mention of rhubarb meringue flung a cravin’ on me for rhubarb dumplings. They were always a staple at my granny’s house during rhubarb season.
I got out for a couple of hours of wind therapy today. Took the backroads to Franklin, meandered up through Eagleville, Christiana and the 'Boro before heading home. The fresh air and sunshine did wonders for my attitude.
I have made it safely home from Knoebels. I saw many friends and had a lovely time.
Ruble had 2 favorite rides there – the haunted house and the world’s best bumper cars. I finally forced myself to ride the haunted house for him today but cannot yet talk myself on to his beloved bumper cars. I should point out that technically he rode with me because I got myself a small piece of jewelry last year that’s actually an urn and some of him is in it, on a necklace.
On the other hand, he didn’t ride coasters when he was alive but he does now!
doggio, just spectatin’; my days of goalkeeping are far in the past. Did give me an excuse to stop on the way home–so dinner tonight was a 3-scoop Butter Pecan waffle cone. Yea me!
OW, if I ever make it there, I will certainly ride the bumper cars in ruble’s memory.
red, I know what you mean, did about a 100-mile drive a couple weekends ago and it was fun just to be out on raods i’d never been on before.
OK, day is ready for readin’ and internettin’. All y’all take care and I’ll see you on the next MMP.
Howdy Y’all! We deheathenated, et a McN.O.L., achieved nappage, and the requisite general sloth. The biiiiiiig trash can got hauled all the way down the road for pick up tomorrow. I yanked a hunk o’ beast outta da fridge for tomorrow’s sup. I think it shall become a roast beast in a nice thick gravy in the slow cooker. Also, we sat out on the porch for a bit at sunset and listened to the anoles (dang noisy things) and cicadas try to find suitable mates.
I have a sad. A friend and all around wonderful person from my church died this afternoon. She had three bouts of cancer and was in hospice care. I knew her through church (one of the Luteruns) and through my irklife as I placed a few folks in employment where she worked. RIP Molly. You will be greatly missed by a whole lot of people.
DH and I just got back from a minor supply run plus dinner out (IHOP, half the food came home with us).
DH is now fixating on a weird mega-light bulb he found near the dumpsters. I have a pot roast in the Instant Pot for consumption during the week. Must still deal with laundry.
I am intrigued. Are there similar to this this recipe? Looks similar to my mom’s recipe for apple dumplings. The other recipes I found are similar to cinnamon rolls.
I know most of you are waiting for the next MMP, so I’ll keep this short. See you later.
Last week we visited the new building. I was coming up from the basement (where my office will be). Since I have injured knees, I was using the railing coming up the stairs. At the top, there are two bolts on an upright supporting the railing going upstairs. I managed to drag my arm across one and started bleeding. A few minutes ago my arm itched, so I scratched it through my long-sleeve T-shirt… and managed to snag the scab and rip it off. *sigh* Now I’ll have another scab and it will take longer to heal.
