What's your favorite flavor of Pop-Tarts?

Another vote for unfrosted strawberry – luckily, my grocery store still carries them.

Frosted raspberry. My store doesn’t carry them. Are they discontinued? Seasonal?

Who has had Wildberry? I’d be willing to try that. Frosted.

Why don’t people like frosting? They look so unhappy and naked without frosting. Surely you don’t believe they become dietetic without frosting?

I voted Dutch Apple, though they haven’t made it in years. I eat mostly Apple Strudel now.

agreed, which you did not list on your poll…

That’s why there’s this kooky li’l choice I like to call “other”.

Nobody but me likes Grape? :frowning:

No, I just think the frosting tastes too sweet.

I’ve always felt that way about most frosting, from the time I was very small. When my mom made cupcakes for my birthday parties, she didn’t put frosting on mine because she knew that’s the way I liked it. And that’s when I was only five or six years old.

Frosted Cherry slightly burned at the edges.

Unfrosted strawberry. Pop Tarts are sweet enough without an extra layer of sugar on top.

UNfrosted blueberry or cherry.

Frosted cherry followed by Chocolate Fudge as a close second. Now I want pop-tarts.

First pop tart I ever had was a frosted cherry … I really don’t like sugary breakfast foods, I was always more into bacon and eggs, though I do eat oatmeal for breakfast every day. I don’t actually sweeten the oatmeal, it has cinnamon and raisins in it so there is a bit of sweetness from the raisins.

Phooey. Missed cherry being up there, and voted for apple. Frosted is only good untoasted, though.

My college roommate found a place that would sell the old ones for $5 for large box the size of an old computer case, or maybe a milk crate. And they were full to the top. You get sick of them after a while, though.

Frosted chocolate fudge. They turn your mouth and teeth an appallingly nasty color, but I loves 'em.

This poll is confusing to me.
It seems to imply that there are other flavors than frosted brown sugar and cinnamon and that, my fiends, is just not possible.

Ditto. To this day I get strange looks during birthday celebrations when I eat the cake and leave the frosting.

Agreed. In the other thread I pointed out that these are difficult to find these days - Now there’s a poll that doesn’t even include the single best Poptart even made, one of the originals too. What is going on? Is the CIA involved? Are our best Poptarts being bought up by the Japanese, leaving us with only the inferior frosted fruit variaties?

And for the record:
Unfrosted Poptarts = Wholesome breakfast.
Frosted Poptarts = Dessert.

plain strawberry pop tarts.

I’ve never seen most of the flavors listed in the poll.
Years ago, I liked the chocolate pop tarts. I wouldn’t like them now. They’re too sweet.

Yeah, I tried some of those last year and the box didn’t even get finished. You’d think it would be good, but no… not good.

Beyond that, I like frosted cherry best, but any of the frosted fruit flavored ones I’ve tried have been good.

I don’t really like any of the ones that are chocolate (guess that should’ve been a clue with the smores:smack:), but frosted brown sugar and cinnamon seemed to be a staple in my family, and while I’d prefer the cherry ones, they’re still damn good.

The unfrosted ones… why even bother? If I want to eat cardboard, there’s a box right there.:stuck_out_tongue:

Exactly. Turn the box inside out and smear some jam in there and you’ve got an unfrosted pop tart, and just as delicious looking.
