OUr church newsletter had some sad news. The wife of our cathedral dean has signed into hospice care. She’d been ill with, and from, cancer and it’s treatments. She’s a little older than me, close enough thogu we could easily have been sisters.
She’s a lovely lady that will be ver much missed.

I’m already looking forward to the coming long weekend! Going back to work after a week off is had, so to have a short week will make it better.
Blurf. Another day another buck fifty. New clerks are coming along. One is much sharper than the other and faster. Conundrum is shall I risk leaving them alone on Saturday since it’s a holiday weekend. They say they are ready and Ms Judy says she will keep her phone handy should something come up they can’t handle. I just know neither one of us wants to irk on Saturday and we are both still puny. Nothing like trial by fire. I will make a determination on Firday depending how busy it is then.
Salmon patties, grits and eggs for supper only if hubs cooks. If not then another sandwich will suffice. At this point I think the medicine is making me feel bad but can’t stop the medicine lest I relapse. I managed to make it through today but barely. Whatever this ailment is is bad. No way is it just a common cold.
Fingers crossed for no rain in South Jawja in the morning. Mad Rabbit I tripped over my purse at work a few weeks ago and went down and was as sore as if I’d actually done something physical. Do be careful.

I am beginning to think my boss thinks I’m Wonder Woman. I’m starting to slow down things that I’m not directly responsible for. Let him give the slow colleague a push.
I’m looking forward to my five day weekend. One of those days will be caring for a post op puppy, but the rest should be fun. It looks like SIL might go to Indiana with me in October. Her chihuahua will hang out in the backseat with Nelson. Diddy Boo might show Nelson how to hang like a big dog.
Worked, came home. Making Asian chicken with lemongrass rice.
They left the orange lamps with me.

It might hold off until early afternoon even though it rained some overnight. TWPTB say rain the next four days We shall see. Mr. Frank’s graveside service is the only thing on the agenda today. I feel that shall be enough. JDD, Partner, OYKW, and I are ridin’ up together in Partner’s vehicle. JDD and Partner suggested this yestiddy and it sounds like a smart idea. We’ll go to their place and go from there.

I know how you feel as JDD’s brother who died last year from cancer was close enough in age we could have been brothers in addition to the fact that we were also good friends. Hospice is a wonderful service and will do everything possible to keep her comfortable.
Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants sustenance. At some point I shall roust OYKW so that purtification for funeralization may commence.

The rain has finally stopped here… for a few days, at least. It’ll be another busy day - duh! Tomorrow is a going-away for the other female-type-person in our group - she got a govvie job after 17 years with this company. I don’t really want to go mainly because of the restaurant they picked. Last time we went there was years ago, and I remember roaches walking all over the place - ick! But I won’t be the only one who doesn’t attend unless I get jury duty tomorrow, and I don’t expect that to happen. Dammit.

I’m up and ready for work. Yesterday was kinda weird. Due to a series of strange events, I only had one student (out of 4) by the end of the day. Because one of them puked all over the carpet, I’m only starting out with 3 this morning.

ETA: Otherwise, blurf. There are nine presentations today at irk, people preparing for our client conference. I think I’ll be working from home; if I go in, I won’t get anything done.
I’m all purtified and OYKW is in the midst of purtification. We’ll leave shortly to go over to JDD’s and Partner’s house. 'Tis dreary and drizzly out so umbrellas are a must. ICK! I suppose dreary is appropriate weather for a funeral.
New Doors delivered late yesterday and with no locks. But I couldn’t reach the folks who I bought them for, because my phones picked yesterday to go out…again…and I still can’t get a dial tone out of them. I’m going to AT&T sometime today and sign up for their service, and I am FIRING the service I have now and damn well letting them know why! (Yes, I am perturbed).
Other than that, expecting rain shortly and sounds like the door people may be here already.

Been up for a bit. The painter wanted to come by at 8 for the second payment and since its cash I didn’t feel good just putting it inside the door or something. Hope to go do some desk work (this is taking just as long as I thought) and then off to irk. Speaking of being off to irk I signed up to double again Friday. I guess I’ll never learn. 
Lunch has been ingested. Back to fixing up some drawings that Josh wants done before he leaves, since he’s taking off the rest of the week. Slacker!!
Heh, I ate cheese sandwiches for lunch. Appropriate for this thread.
Had my surgery this morning. They removed a piece of my head! :eek: (I had a minor cyst removed. That’s all.)
I was in and out of the horsepistol in less than two hours, so that was good.
Midget I’m glad it went well.
