Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 46 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 68 and N.O.S. for the day. Today I shall do laundry and attend the dedication of the fine arts buildin’ at a local college. The buildin’ is bein’ dedicated in honor of a man I truly admired and considered to be a good friend. Arthur was head of the fine arts department for a long time and a very gifted artist. He died three years ago at the age of ninety-three and is still greatly missed. Beast stew and corn muffins shall be supped upon.
Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then I suppose I should purtify so as to be out in the public.
I have whatever plague is roaming around at irk, and will probably have to leave midday to rush 10 miles via public transit to report in for jury duty. Whoopie.
Spidey, I won’t bet the rent on it, but I doubt that we’ll see 70s any time soon. The point is, my preggo daughter better bring shoes and not just flip-flops!
At last I have work to do. Tim sent me an email with 27 drawing to fix. It should be good for a couple of days’ work so yay!
Batboy, my condolences. At 65 I’ve outlived most famiiy members older than my generation and those are beginning to disappear too.
Moooom, you are one of those rare people that complain when you don’t have work to do. I am guessing that attitude is not shared around the workplace…

Ate a big bag o’salad and tomatoes for launch, mac-n-cheese on the menu for dinner. Also still trying to disassemble my toilet (It was leaking) to try and replace the innards and…I’ll probably end up having to buy a new one if I keep going. Mechanically inclined I am not.
Howdy Y’all! The dedication ceremony was nice and they put out a nice spread for the reception afterwards so that was N.O.L. Laundry is done and in a little while I shall make corn muffins and heat up the beast stew.
Good news: my potential juror group has been excused altogether.
Bad news: came home early because I feel so rotten. Hard to cope with runny nose and random sneezing/coughing during calls without making icky noises in the caller’s ear (my mute button is a little temperamental).
Blurf It is just so slowwww and boring at irk these days. My network computer has been repaired but now the printer does not work. I have an ethics training I am trying to do and got through but it when it was time to print the certificate the *()_(*Y^ printer will not work. In order to get a certificate, which I need since I am a government credit card holder, I will have to go elsewhere and do the training all over again. GRRRRRRRRRRRRR.
I finished 24 of the 27 drawing Tim gave to me. I’d have finished all of them if Jaime hadn’t come in with a question that required me to stop and do some looking-up. So I’ll finish up in the morning, then I’ll be about out of work again.
**MetalMouse **- I know there are places where people are happy to be idle, but everyone in my group is quite busy. I feel bad interrupting them, but if they dump some of their stuff on me, they can address other things. Besides, being un-busy makes the day drag.
Supper will be Hamburger Helper Stroganoff. Butter almond ice cream for later. Plus I got some ads up on CraigsList for some furniture I need to rehome.
metal mouse, replacing/repairing terlets was one of my least favorite things to take care of when I handled rentals for my dad. I don’t envy you.
My project for this evening is replacing the brackets on the shelving in the studio. The top one fell last evening, I’ve only found three of the eight brackets that there are holes for. :eek: The next shelf down hasn’t had a catastrophe (yet), but I bought enough hardware to take care of both. Should I put on some Bob Vila or Bob the Builder videos?
I am sitting at the airport, waiting for my flight. They’ve actually moved the departure earlier, which I don’t think I’ve ever seen in 'lo these many years of traveling. I forgot to pack my anti-anxiety meds, which I take when flying. I’m medicating in other ways (to a certain extent). If you hear about someone making a scene on a plane in Portland, well, it might be me. I don’t like flying. A lot. A real, whole lot. I think I’m gonna have one more medicinal drink.
Did a double today. Pallet change. And they will do another probably in December. Don’t ask because I can’t really type it in a way that makes sense but it brings production to a frustrating crawl. So of course we always do it when it gets busiest. :smack: Like I say at irk – there is a reason we’re named for a jungle instead of some happy place.
