Where did the year go in the MMP???

Lots of crap magically appeared on my desk overnight - guess I’m busy again.

Happy Wednesday!

I was recently contacted out of the blue by someone who likes my art. She seems to be intimating that she would like us to work together. I am slightly worried that it may be a scam. I am being cautious, but evidence so far seems to suggest she’s a real person.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 42 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 64 and N.O.S. Today is geezer day at the Pubic Sto’. I have a list of stuff I will need for Turkey Day preparations and will get most of it today. I have no intention of attemptin’ to shop on Turkey Day Eve. Too many crazies in grocery stores on Turkey Day Eve. Ham ‘n N.O.T. soup will be supped upon this evenin’. Who knows what else the day may bring.

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then I shall purtify and brave the sto’. Rah.

Happy Hump Day Y’all!

I cannot believe Turkey Day is next week. Seems like it was just Halloween! It’s 45 and raining in no. Illinois. I’mon the tail end of bronchitis and a sinus infection. Stayed home from irk 2 days last week and didn’t go out of the house over the weekend. But I will rally. I have no idea what to have for dinner. I have no fresh food in the house and am too tired at the end of the day to go to the sto. Any suggestions? Not eggs because I had eggs for b-fast.

PB&J is a quick supper, or a bowl of cereal, or grilled cheese. Or a can of soup, if you keep that in the house.

Mini break time - I’ve gotten a few drawings to correct, but not a lot of work. Gotta beat the bushes for more, I guess.

Speaking of Turkey Day, tomorrow is turkey distribution day at work. They give turkeys to all employees and I need to remember to pick mine up after work. I’ll be thawing it in a bowl of water so I can smoke it this weekend. That’ll be my contribution to dinner.

Provisions have been procured. I was one of a very few people in the Pubic Sto’ so it was an easy trip. Didn’t have to wait at the checkout even. YAY!

{{{WetOne}}} feel better soonest. I suggest soup and grilled cheese.

Well, I did manage to get the toilet disassembled, taking much too much time and probably doing things wrong, but now comes the challenging part; putting all the new stuff in and then reassembling the thing right. Doubt I’ll finish before Thanksgiving unless I really concentrate on it.

Otherwise yesterday was “I’m retired so I’m being a lazy sloth day”, so shopping, posting mail, and dropping off some stuff are on the agenda. But first, raisin toast and the Straight Dope!

BatBoy, hope it works out, but I would be cautious also until you can verify. Meet at ‘3rd party’ places like restaurants and libraries initially. No address or personal information until you are comfortable (gad, sound like my Dad).

Sunny, glad the flight went off well; I’m usually abed by 10Pm local (8PM in the west), so all us Easterners had to wait until this mornign for the good news.

wet one, hope you get to feeling better. I’ve had a couple mornings that I thought I’d caught something, but so far the year remains sick-free for me.

I’ve had a cough for the past few days. Worried it might be something serious, like that too-long bout of bronchitis I had last year/beginning of this year.

How can the year have gone so fast?

My music-work computer is in the shop :frowning: I hope they can save my not-inexpensive music software.

I’s hongry; sounds like a good snack…before lunchtime.

Tis better to be coughin’ often than to be in the coffin they carry you off in.

Oh noes Midget :frowning: I think there are data recovery services that can copy the hard drive for you, even if the computer itself can’t be saved. Hopefully it won’t come to that. (And get that cough checked out soonest)

Moommm glad you’re busy.

MetalMouse I’m guessing this terlet is not the main terlet in use, if it’s going to take that long to fix. :dubious:

Feel better WetOne.

Fingers crossed on the art, BatBoy.

I have to get started on Thanksgiving. :o

I don’t even have sliced cheese in the house! Or peanut butter or jelly. I may be forced to stop at the sto on the way home. I have a yearning for spiral sliced ham so perhaps I will buy me one and freeze leftovers.

Tim done come thru for me! Just as I was about to go to his office and ask if he had anything for me to do, I got an email from him that should keep me busy for a while. So yay!

Meanwhile, lunch is almost over. With luck, the afternoon will go as fast as the morning did.

Poof went my previous post. Morning all or afternoon as the case may be. Sunny I also do not like to fly and am flying to Jawja on Turkey Day eve (what was I thinking) to visit my siblings.

At irk as usual. Just whiling away the hours until time to go home. Long slow days these are with not much business.

And I almost forgot but BLURF

Nope, it’s the spare room terlet, but it is the closest to my computer, so I do get a little more exercise these days when I have to go…

Missions accomplished and nappage completed, now need to sort 12 bags of soccer balls, take inventory and prepare to turn them in on sattiday. Does tend to mess up my living room a bit…

Also, when did these “AA 6” batteries come out? Picked up a package to replenish my stocks and didn’t see the different size until I got home. Just give me my plain old Double-A’s, please.

Back doctor has inspected MRI and what not and the short version is that my spinal fusion has failed. I will be having spinal surgery again in a few weeks.

Now I am at the infusion center getting medicine pumped into me for the haid. I lead a life of glamor.

Did you bring enough for everyone?
:dubious:

'Tis coolish out so ham 'n N.O.T. soup turned out to be the right thing to sup upon. YUM! Plus enough for both of us to have it for N.O.L. tomorrow. WIN-WIN! Chillage now ensues.

Midget hope your stuff can be recovered and get that cough checked out.

{{{Sunny}}} sorry about the surgery. Hopefully you’ll be better after it, however.

And if they give you drugs, share! I hear that Canadians have some good shit.

**Sunny **- My spousal unit has had several spinal fusions so I know what you’ll be facing. Hugs!!!

Supper was grilled cheese.

Ice cream later.

**FCD **is snoring on the couch.

Excitement abounds. Um, yeah… :stuck_out_tongue:

bat boy, make sure you keep an eye out for your intellectual property. Otherwise, I hope that she’s on the up and up.

metal mouse, how many soccer balls are there in a bag. I could see that taking up some acrage in your living room.

I hope that your surgery is successful sunny!

My file cabinets are supposed to be delivered tomorrow and our mini file cabinets for under our tables should be in by the end of the week so we can get out of cardboard boxes. I’ll be glad when this mess is over. We’re looking at July before we’re back in permanent digs.
