Would that be Canadian gold?
ohgodtherush!
Spiral ham and spinach soufflé have been ingested. I bought a B.A. ham and now have a lifetime supply in the freezer.
Well, I have 12 bags, and each should have 3 soccer balls, 4 pinneys, 20 cones, and an air pump and a First Aid kit. So a fair conglomeration.
Sunny, hope the fusion goes well, sorry you’re having to go through that.
That’s a lot of equipment!
Thanks for the well wishes everyone.
Holy crap, MetalMouse!! Do you have room to move in your house with all that stuff!!
Today is (get your) Turkey Day!! The company is giving out turkeys to those who want them. Plus they’re serving snacks and stuff. I need to remember to head over there after work instead of heading straight home. And if all goes well, the bird will be smoked this weekend. Yum!!
Other than that, just another day in paradise. We’re supposed to have temps close to normal today - almost 60° - ahead of a cold front. I hope it’ll be mild tomorrow - we have to de-leaf the yard. We couldn’t do it last week because of the rain, and the coverage is thick. Good times…
Happy Thursday!
Up, caffeinated, and shwveled. Off to work.
Hope the fusion works this time, **Sunny **
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 42 Amurrkin out and N.O.S. with a predicted high of 72 and N.O.S. for the day. No real big plans for the day. I have a couple of errands I need to get done. One involves buyin’ two bunches of collard greens from the sto’ that always has the best. Fun times. I may also go ahead and clean and get the greens ready to cook. They will be part of the Turkey Day feast and will be fine in da fridge until they get cooked on Wednesday. They are best cooked the day before and slow warmed the next day. BBQ sammiches, slaw and fries for suppage. I do need to make the slaw so that’s another little project for the day.
Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then I suppose I should purtify if I am to go about the public.
Happy Thursday Y’all!
Good morning Thorsday! Wierd dreaming last night, something about interdimensional vampires popping up and it unsettled my sleep enough that nappage is a definite possibility in the near future.
Also concluded my donations for the year by giving to the USO (others include my High school soccer team, the local National Public radio station, Wikipedia, and Alabama Public TV–need them because I cashed in my Mutual funds this year and it will make tax time unpleasant.
It’s not that bad of a mess, all the soccer stuff is in the bags, no more than 1/4 of the great room in the house is affected. And I give them back to the organization on saturday.
Booked a flight to Austin, TX for Xmas via Birmingham, the savings were worth it.
And that is all the excitement in N. Ali-Bama this morning. All y’all have a good day.
Blurf I am kind of sad I won’t be home for Thanksgiving. Me and hubby always cook up a feast. My sister will have a feast so I will be fed but it’s fun when we cook. There is always Christmas. I am going to miss my dog something fierce. We are always together. 24/7 even at irk. I could easily talk myself out of going to Jawja. If it were not for the money that has been spent I would not go.
So there it is. All the news that’s fit to print.
Have a Great Day everyone!
About to run out of work again. Dammit. I finished all the stuff from Tim and I’m doing revisions on drawings for Josh. I have maybe 5 of those left. Dunno how long I can stretch them out. I suppose I could run over my lunch hour a bit, too.
Glad it’s almost my weekend.
I just need to remember to turn left when I leave the parking lot this afternoon. Turn left for turkey!!!
The usual Thursday stuff. Another of the Originals at Da Jungle is leaving which leaves about 8 of us from the beginning and maybe 12 from the First Thanksgiving. I know the family/company he is going to and there are fantastic and will do him well for the future so I’m more happy than anything else. He went on to become a PA so changes in management have effected him way more than me and he’s pulling the plug at a good time.
I have been a busy bear today. I did errands this mornin’, came home, cleaned collard greens, made coleslaw for tonight and washed, dried, and put away a load of whites. The poke is chopped and sauced and ready to be warmed up. I also peeled and cut N.O.T. for fries. Now it’s chill time.

Late blurf.
Long day today; went in early to do some extra lab irk, just had time to grab a sammich, then had the student rep meeting, which has been rescheduled a couple of times. It wound up in lunch break in an attempt to catch everyone (and we still didn’t get the guy who’s supposed to be in charge of the department), it overran right into the class after; didn’t miss anything at least, the lecturer was also in the meeting, but I have totally run out of brain now. I thought stoodinting was s’posed to be slacking around! Maybe I’m not doing it right.
I’ve run out of work and nobody has anything for me. So my last hour will be wasted, I guess. I’ll just scoot out a little early to go get turkey.
Sometimes it’s just so hard being me… <pose of woe and despair>
Burf ALSO BLURF so bored. I have stuff to do but don’t want to do any of it. I have been reading in Elections about the Alibama Race. Metal Mouse You gots some hard core folks in 'BAMA.
Mooommm don’t forget to pickup your turkey!
So helpful are we
Turkey! Turn left! (or was it right?) Turn the car for turkey!
**FCD **just came in and told me he’s not going to go with me to get turkey. The bum. I just hope I don’t get all the way home before remembering. That would be bad.
You have an imaginary friend or something? :dubious:
