Where did the year go in the MMP???

I just cleared the leaves off the 2 back decks. Well, most of them, anyway. The damned things keep falling. Then I vacuumed up the leaves that Higgs has been tracking into the dining room from the back deck, and ran the vacuum over much of the carpet.

In a little bit, I’ll go rake leaves in the front and get them into the area where we can drive over them.

So may leaves…

FCM, I got rid of all my trees twenty years ago (talk about early planning!). Still get a few from the neighbors but the mower handles them fine.

flytrap, Growing old is mandatory; growing up is optional.

Butters, hope the Dr. visit is a pleasant one.

Stayed in bed until after 8am today, don’t know why I wasn’t up earlier but I guess it was just a good sleep-in day. BLT’s are on-line for mid-day and Libby’s restaurant for my ‘usual’ Firday night meal. Supposed to be refereeeing soccer this weekend, but haven’t heard a thing about signing up for games. All the soccer bags have been inventoried and are ready to turn in Sattiday morning.

Still haven’t completed repairs on the terlet. Maybe by Xmas…

Leaves are done, mostly, till next time. As **FCD **drove around mulching &c, I watched leaves fall from the trees. We dumped 6 cart loads, and there’s at least that much more hanging overhead. We need a good brisk wind to blow them down (and into the neighbors’ yards, if that’s not too much to ask…)

Now, what to do for lunch?

Mooom, tried just vacuuming the trees yet?

Actually had to scrape ice off the car this morning, first frost of the year. The rest of the day was lovely though, clear blue sky, nice and warm in the sun, so of course I was inside at my cleaning job all morning.

I did have a good start to the day though; £250 magically appeared in my bank account, [del]beer money[/del] a bursary from the college, which was nice.

I am really looking forward to being off tomorrow. It’s been a busy week.

Kids are off to school. I am snuggled with dogs. I would really like the constant scandals and what not to stop for just a bit. It’s exhausting.

I need to do laundry at some point. I also need to decide what to do for dinner on Saturday. My aunt and uncle are coming for the night. They can’t come for Thanksgiving, so we’ll see them early instead. I’m not sure what to fix. Decisions, decisions.

**Nut **- you so funny! :stuck_out_tongue: Now that you have all that money, are you going to need some if it for bail? Are you planning to run amok?

**Sunny **- beanie-weenie! You’re welcome!

We’re going in search of lunch as soon as **FCD **cleans up. What do we want?? hmmmmmm

I can’t be there in person for Thanksgiving either but I didn’t get a dinner invite? :frowning:

“Beanie-weenie! You’re welcome!” :stuck_out_tongue:

Any day of the week - of all the players I despise Gropey the Quarterback the most. My favorite NFL team is the Vikings, my second favorite is whoever is playing Pittsburgh this week. My third favorite is whoever beat them last. So right now its Vikings, Green Bay and Jaguars third.

College ball — the “Fighting Oles” of course.
After 4pm today the Old Wench can pretend shes me and find out if I have jury duty Monday. Dinner is chili with beans and extra hot sauce so say a prayers for my coworkers.

Howdy Y’all! I did N.O.L. and visited with Miss Becky. Now I am at da cave.

Sunny spam with beanie-weenie and Twinkies for dessert.

We went to Cracker Barrel for lunch because I had a hankerin’ for their haddock dinner. Yum!

Now I’m going to finish the afghan so I can wash it and take it to Mom’s on Thursday. She’ll be getting 4 for AARP.

Good Lord!
Do you need grocery money?
Failed to get your retirement time sheet in on time

I almost forgot about my thawing turkey. But it’s OK - there was still some ice in the cavity.

It’s now oiled up, seasoned, and in fridge awaiting smokage tomorrow. The neck is in a pot of water with seasonings, on the way to becoming broth.

We’ve made an appointment to have our furnace serviced in a couple of weeks. Plus we’re set up to meet with our financial guy to discuss FCD’s retirement. It’s been a pretty productive day.

Making Italian chicken with cheesy rice and bacon pepper spinach for dinner. The I go out and have a pint or 2. Alex Catt is snoring on the couch.

Woosh! :smack:

Jerry & Ben

you know you could do what my step-grandpa did for leaves … and just wait until they got brittle and mow them under …

Pizza has been ingested. OYKW is preparin’ himself a bath. There is ice cream for later. Life is good.

I have three trees in my front yahd and none in the back. I mow over the leaves a couple of times. Matter of fact that is a chore that needs doin’ before TDay. ICK!

Back form the mainland. Dr seemed nice enough. He ordered an MRI to see what is going on.

It is a long ride to the mainland and back. Plus the sun was in the eyes all the way back so I am partially blinded too.

Gotta figure out supper.

TGIF in spades.

This week seemed like it would never end. I actually irked until four today (I’m usually off by 3 on Friday). But, glory be, I’m off for nine days now. I’m trying to nip the sinus crud that’s going around in the bud. I bought a warm mist machine and a nighttime/daytime combo pack after irk. My head is beginning to get rid of crap already. Popeye’s spicy for supper. Burp!

Come Monday, I’ll make the trek up to spend Thanksgiving with Dad, Sis and other family. I’m cooking. Since when did I get old enough to be in charge of this stuff.

I knew I could count on you guys!
What a mensch!

Well, four loads of laundry done and the last bills of the month paid and mailed. Also collected the 8" x 10" prints of the three soccer teams I coached this fall, so now I have to get frames and put them on my wall with the others. Also washed and put away dishes, so domestic duties are fulfilled.

Finally did sign up for five soccer games this weekend, that should keep me out of trouble (HA!). Then I get two weeks off and indoors starts 2 December. Well, it’ll keep me out of trouble (and again, HA!)

All y’all take care.
