I took too long editing the last post and got a spanking from the system.:smack:
Thudlow_Boink–I thought I was the only person who watched Greg the Bunny!
BdubU2–I don’t know about your area/cable co but we get a channel called The Hub and when I found out they were airing old eps of Jem, I set my DVR to season pass.
Because me and my friends are Jem girls! Jem, Jem is her name! Truly outrageous! That’s a Jem girl! Glamour fashion and fame! JEM! jazzhands
I loved Northern Exposure so much, but I don’t know that the same kind of show could come back in its original form. The show certainly wasn’t just about the weather, but I know much more about Alaska now. Melting glaciers, the plight of the natives, the poor polar bears, climate change, Sarah Palin - I think revisiting Alaska would find it a poorer, sadder place now.
I’ve always said here in the past, I would like to see a new version of Wagon Train. (Not just hostile Indians, manly men leading the way, and harmonicas played around the campfire while the wimmenfolk cooked the biscuits and beans.) A new Wagon Train.
Wow! OK, you just got an agreement from me for four out your four examples.
Fireball XL5! That really brings back memories. Supermarionation for the win.
Twin Peaks, a true classic. One of the most haunting sound tracks I have ever heard.
Blake’s 7 - this little gem twinkled much more brightly back in merry old England than it did here, but those of us who remember it do so with great affection.
And the Wild Wild West. Ah yes, Miguelito Loveless Jr, the little guy you loved to hate.
I came in to say this one. I loved the show and was crushed when it wasn’t renewed. Instead we we get another season of rizzoli & isles and Franklin & Bash.
I’ll second this. I really enjoyed the show, but kinda forgot about it until you mentioned it. Now I really want to watch it again.
Also, I’ll second Monk. Another good show that I (almost) forgot about. I remember wondering why it was canceled, especially considering that they had plenty of material to expand upon and only needed to mention that material once or twice a season to keep moving forward. I assumed that they left the show before it could become stale, since at least I didn’t see it going that way.
ETA: Oops, I was beat to the punch. Oh well, I third Men of a Certain Age.
Nero yes, or perhaps one of the other emperors, but Commodus, like the transition form Republican Rome via Julius to Augustus has been done to death in the movies IMO.
Am currently rewatching Rome, and its still very, very good.
Quantam Leap
The Muppet Show
Northern Exposure
Pickett Fences
Everwood
Boston Legal
Murphy Brown
Men of a Certain Age (I didn’t think I’d like this one…I hated Ray Romano’s stand-up act and Everybody Loves Raymond, but he really did shine, along with Scott Bakula and Andre Braugher)
