Who are you & what time is it in the MMP?

Morning all! Haven’t been up very long. Got housework to do today and cooking.

Puppy Buddy has discovered his own tail and is chasing it. Silly pup.

You mentioned a puppy. We need puppy pictures!

You have to work at the important things, ruble.
:dubious:

Happy Sunday!

Home from the dog park.
I woke up at 5:15, was showered and ready to go at 6, however that is way too early.
Ripple wanted to go though, so he brought me my (dirty) socks in an attempt to get me to go faster.

After tomorrow irk should slow down so I can get back to some kind of normal.

My son got 69 out of 70 points on his paper, and a nice compliment from the professor. An A on the paper and in the class.
I am so glad it is over.

Once the heat wave is over, I am going to drag him outside to get some yard irk done.

OK, so the weather is just messing with me now- forecast says <5% chance of rain all afternoon, skies blue, clouds white, fluffy. Start getting beekeeping stuff ready and rain instantly starts hammering it down.

Put stuff down, make cup of tea. Rain stops.

Drink tea, skies blue, clouds white, fluffy. Go to get stuff, rain starts hammering down again.
Give up.
I have a few days off this week, so hopefully I should get one of them that’s actually dry.

Decided instead to spend the afternoon bottling homebrew blackberry wine, which I’ve successfully put off for far too long. It’s not the best, left it on the lees (dead yeast and stuff that accumulates on the bottom of the demijohn) too long, but it’s very fruity, so should be good for mulled wine later in the year. I shall now follow the one bit of advice passed down from my paternal Grandmother: leave your homebrew out for a few days after bottling, before putting it away, and never store it in the top of your wardrobe…

Nut, you need to send some of that homebrew to ruble; he seems to have some experience with home-made stuff…

Sari, kid sounds like he knows the stuff, just waits until the last minute to put it down in writing (I was the same way in college). Makes you wonder what his classmates turn in…

Lawn has been mowed, back yard watered, and 2 out of three soccer teams contacted (still waiting for them to finalize the last one). Dinner was Cracker Barrel, they had a 30-minute wait so I had a pre-meal (bottle of Root Beer and a Kit-Kat) before dining. 96F outside now so inside is where I plan to stay.

ETA: Not 96F. Now 101F. Even more reason to stay in house

Back home. It was a nice visit with Mom and my sis. The ribs were really good. Roxy had a great time in the pool. No major traffic issues along the way - at least not in our direction, but we saw multiple stoppages going the other way. Good clean living paid off!

Time to chill the evening away.

<in Monty Python accent> But I’m doing much better now!>

Second day was OK but ------- 146 degrees and 137% humidity; or at least it felt like it. And thanks to the AND I had to lug stuff unpacking the car. But its done, bank deposits are ready, and now I can think ahead to a more general flea-market next weekend.

That one starts at 6am both days. :smack:

<hic> I’m a trained Da Jungle professional. I’m doing a professional job today. <hic>

DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!
Unless home happens to be a distillery.

Howdy Y’all! We deheathenated, I did the LEM trainin’ thingy, came home and had a snack. Then, around four we, gourmands that we be, went to Waffle House for a late N.O.L./early sup. Also did some Netflix bingin’ before we went. The biiiiiiiiiiig trash can has been hauled all the way down to the road for pickup tomorrow. Also, tomorrow night is men’s night over to the church house, thus steaks are marinatin’ and beer is chillin’. Been rainy off and on today but no big tstorms. Could be some tonight however.

Sari yay for sahson!

MOOOOOOM you would lose the pool. I know for sure I could never be a Priest. I could never like people that much. Heck, I could never be a Deacon for that matter. I much prefer bein’ a semi-hermit so, Monk maybe.

metal mouse, I feel your pain. This has been my year of replacing tech, beginning with a new Jetson’s era car, meandering to a new desktop system and a new phone. The cappers would be the laptop and/or the tablet. :stuck_out_tongue:

swampy, did y’all get an order of scattered, smothered, covered, chunked?

I finished the laundry, took the printer to the tech recycling center, brought in the new (to me) end table, moved the stuff to go on/under it, cranked up the old desktop and copied the files that I wanted to transfer to the new rig, prepped breakfasts and lunches and made some kick-ass spinach-chicken quesadillas with cilantro lime slaw and pico de gallo to go with. Burp.

Now for KP and chillage.

I always preferred this version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3SnGU6Jtxc0

Nothing new to report, I guess I should get up and make me a sammich or something, but not really hungry or feeling active.

All y’all take car and I’ll catch you on the next MMP.

Had a good day. Took a nap. Helped cook and clean and started some laundry. I have played fetch until I am worn out and he is too.

I already do not want to go to irk tomorrow. I shall though cause I am a responsible adult. Most of the time.

We am taking a little trip on Labor Day weekend just up to Cocoa Fl which is roughly right by Orlando except on the east coast. Hubby shall drive us and Buddy will be boarded at his new vet. I still gotta check with the Vet. Someone will have to tend the cat. The cat is just better off in her own domain. I feel the need to get off the Rock if just for three days. The plan is to leave on Thursday to go and come back on Sunday and I will have Moanday to get ready to go back to irk. Long overdue. Still almost two weeks away. Of course, plans subject to change depending on hurricanes and such. The peak of the season is September 10th so almost there.

Here is hoping everyone has a great new week!

I have that problem. Really really don’t want to trek to the Hades Annex, spend eight hours dealing with brain donors, then trek home.

Hi, I’m Emily and I got stranded alone in a field in the middle of nowhere at midnight last night.

Stayed too late at the balloon festival.

Got home, though.

worked, dealt with the coupon ladies. But my favorite cocktail bar reopened this weekend. Is it bad I’m considered a regular after 4 visits?

Shots? Because I ain’t becoming a heretic for less than 90 proof.

With a side order of brawl?

Eek! but yay for making it home.

So I got to go to a Protestant funeral once(with a Methodist and a Baptist minister preaching), and I got to seat with the one minister’s kids. The 6 year old had hiccups the whole time, and at one point the 3 month old reach over, and pulled. my. finger. It was all I could do to no start laughing at the top of my lungs.

So do I but I’ve tried to avoid it since that Saran Wrap incident. :smack:

Well, we’re close to 200 but I’ll just see everyone tomorrow.

Went to the powwow at the Grand Ronde Reservation yesterday. They are Chinookan, but called the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde, as the Chinook people are not recognized as a tribe by the USG. Lots of great dancing and drumming.
