Trump said in advance that he was going to pick a woman to replace RBG. If DEI is some kind of synonym for affirmative action, that makes Barrett, by the GOP labeling system, a DEI pick.
I wish it was otherwise, but Biden did the same with Harris.
These were both quota situations - one vacancy, quota of one from the preferred group.
When I went to a semi-fancy college in the 1970’s, I think I did hear of a rural admissions preference. Whether Yale Law School has it now, I do not know. But there’s no evidence of a quota situation with Vance, or that he was in any non-academically-related preference group. And even if he was in such a group, he had to compete against others not in his preferred group. As for your link saying that “I have no idea what kind of grades or scores Vance had,” he graduated Summa cum Laude, (and in just two years), which does give an idea.
In my value system, it is wrong to label someone as a DEI or AA pick. For all I know, all three would have been chosen without these sorts of preferences. I hope Harris realizes Joe was wrong and does not do the same to her own appointees.

There is no way to “zoom in”, and yeah so? It is a gun show, people sell WW2 memorabilia. And, more importantly, Vance isnt looking at that stuff, or even close to is.
